This is possibly the hardest thing I’m ever going to have to post. My 15 year old niece has run away from home on Saturday, December 9th, and it’s highly possible she’s in very serious danger.

Abigail Maduscha has been seeking out someone to buy her a ticket so she can get to California, specifically the Sacremento area for months now. She has brown hair, blue eyes, 5 foot 3 inches, and weighs at about 130 pounds. You’ll usually find her wearing dark and baggy clothes like hoodies. She’s a beautiful, wonderful girl and we just want her home safe and sound.

http://fox6now.com/2017/12/10/missing-and-endangered-south-milwaukee-pd-looking-for-15-year-old-girl-possibly-headed-to-ca/

Please, please please reblog and contact the police at 911 or South Milwaukee PD immediately if you have ANY information! PLEASE help us by spreading this around like wildfire!

UPDATE:

Her case is now in the hands of the FBI, and they are sure that she is being sex trafficked. PLEASE. REBLOG. SEE IF YOU RECOGNIZE HER. PLEASE SPREAD THIS. A like is not enough, a reblog gets her face out there, and just may alert the next person who sees her. My niece is in grave danger, and my brother, her father, is asking me to help keep spreading this around in hopes it might help. So please spread this anyway you can- facebook, twitter, tumblr. We want Abigail HOME.

Again, Abigail has been missing since Saturday night, December 9th. She has been trying to get someone to buy her either a bus, train or plane ticket to Sacramento California for months. She is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

IF YOU SEE HER, PLEASE CONTACT THE POLICE IMMEDIATELY.

Boku No Hero Academia – All Might, Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugou, Noumu, Ochako Uraraka, Shouta Aizawa, Shouto Todoroki, Tomura Shigaraki, Tooru Hagakure and Tsuyu Asui

Artist : KE

Ever wondered if Toshinori saw how cruel Izuku’s teachers were? Like, those middle school teachers ignoring the bullying and even encouraging it, laughing at Izuku’s dreams and acting genuinely surprised whenever he achieves ANYTHING! (probably knocked all the pride out of him the moment they praise/patronise him) Like being Quirkless somehow invalidates a teacher’s morals. I’d love if Toshinori angrily chewed them out. Then vows to put his all into teaching and that’s why he tries so hard at UA

sevi007:

Hello there!

Is that some enraged, protective Dad Might I see here? I’m all for it!

Though, I can’t think of a situation where Toshinori would actually be witness to the bullying (because that’s what it is) of Izuku’s former teachers. Before U.A., Toshinori and Izuku only met up at the beach, far away from his school. If there wasn’t a situation where one of Izuku’s teacher would show up there through pure coincidence and then proceed to insult Izuku even in his free time, then I don’t think Toshinori knows about the teacher’s treatment of Izuku.

I do think that Toshinori knows about the bullying though. Izuku shows many symptoms of a former bullying-victim, and I headcanon that Izuku showed up at the beach after being roughed up by his classmates at least once. (Look here for that headcanon.)

And I can also imagine that when there should be a middle school reunion (like in this headcanon), that Toshinori (and the rest of the class, too) would accompany Izuku. Like I said, Toshi probably knows that Izuku wasn’t happy in his middle school class at all, and he isn’t one to let his student alone in such a situation.

Imagine the utter disbelief when All Might (by now, everyone knows his true form) shows up with little, quirkless Deku. The utter shock of former classmates and former teachers when the number one hero, a legend, steps into the room side by side with Deku, followed by twenty others – nineteen children and one teacher who seems to be carrying  a sleeping bag over his shoulder.

The former bullies would be shell-shocked, jaws slack and eyes wide, when Izuku says something to All Might, smiling nervously, and the Number One laughs aloud and pats the green mop of hair as if to say “It’s okay.” The familiarity Deku of all people has with someone as All Might is, quite honestly, terryfiying for the people who once used to make Izuku’s life a living hell. And the little, panicked question of “Did he tell All Might about us? About what we did?” weighs heavy on them.

It’s only a question of time until one of the middle school teachers steps up to Toshinori, who keeps at the sidelines together with Aizawa and just observes while his students raid the reunion, and asks politely how it is possible that these two heroes are accompanying Midoriya Izuku, of all the people.

(It’s his first mistakes of a few to come.)

Toshinori and Aizawa exchange a look, before Aizawa says, slowly. “He is our student.”

“Your s-student?”

“That’s what I just said.”

“Aizawa-kun, please. Don’t scare the poor man.” Toshinori smiles, but there is a cutting edge to it, nothing reassuring, just straight out terrifying the middle school teacher. “Excuse me, sir, but is there a problem with Izu-… Midoriya being our student?”

“W-Well,” the man stammers, laughing nervously. Why is he sweating? He shouldn’t be afraid of a glorious hero like All Might… right? “It’s just that… you two are heroes. All Might-san, you are even the top hero…”

“Not anymore,” Toshinori interrupts softly, blue eyes no longer visible in the shadows of his eye sockets. “And I don’t see what my status has to do with young Midoriya?”

“Don’t… don’t get me wrong, but why would heroes be the teachers of a quirkless student?”

There has already been a slight tension in the air before, but as soon as the words left his mouth, the poor teacher knows that he should have kept quiet. The air is so charged with something that it seems to crackle, and All Might stands slightly straighter than before, smile gone.

It wasn’t a pleasant smile, but it was better than not knowing what this powerful man is thinking, thoughts hidden behind a straight face.

“I see,” Toshinori says so suddenly that the scared teacher jumps a bit. “You did know that young Midoriya is attending U.A?”

“Well, I was aware of that…”

“But since you knew him as quirkless, you assumed that he wouldn’t be taught by heroes? That he would be put in the general education classes? ”

“Yes, that’s what I…”

“Because of his quirklessness.”

“Yes. I mean…” he shouldn’t say it, he really shouldn’t, and he knows, but somehow, he can’t lie to this man, this hero, when he can feel a heavy gaze focusing him, urging him to go on. And so the teacher licks his dry lips and gets out, “… A quirkless boy like him couldn’t really become a hero, right?”

And Toshinori’s whole behavior and stance changes in the blink of an eye. Before, he had been quite polite, speaking soft and quietly, stance hunched forward, doing his best not to attract too much attention. Now, he straightens completely, towering over the shivering fool in front of him. His blue eyes blaze like fire, and his straight expression has been traded for one of utter fury. It sends shivers down his poor victim’s back.

Not a hero anymore or not, All Might is dangerous.

“I already wondered what kind of teacher would not notice when one of his students gets bullied for such a long time,” Toshinori doesn’t talk very loudly, but the pure anger and authority in his words have the other rooted in place. “Now I see that I was wrong. You are not a real teacher.”

The teacher opens his mouth, half-wanting to protest, but one sharp look makes him shut up quickly again as All Might continues.

“You didn’t even try to do what is supposed to be your job – instant of encouraging and supporting, you decided to turn around and almost destroy Izuku’s dream,” the hero didn’t even seem to notice that he had slipped into calling his student by his first name. “You calling yourself a teacher is an insult to every teacher out there. I suggest you consider quitting, before I find out that you continued to hurt those you were supposed to protect.”

The victim of All Might’s fury wants to protest, but the words are stuck in his throat. He opens and closes his mouth a few times without one sound coming out, before he deflates completely. One slight tilt of the head from the blond hero dismisses him, and he scrambles to get away, still pale and shivering.

(It won’t bet too long after that that he really quits his current job.)

Toshinori exhales deeply, seemingly relaxing again. Gone is the towering, enraged figure, and back is the kind-hearted, quiet man behind it. He takes a sip from his water, still frowning grumpily.

A choked of sound, almost a laugh, coming from his side has him looking over. “Aizawa-kun?”

“And you tell me not to scare the man,” Aizawa’s lips are hidden behind his scarf, but his eyes crinkle ever so slightly in amusement. “Sure.”

Toshinori huffs, lips twitching as he mutters something about “Had to get that out of my system”.

“Don’t worry. Would have done it myself if you hadn’t said anything.”

The smile turns real at that, and Toshinori feels marginally better at that.

His mood betters a lot more, though, once he saw Izuku looking around searchingly on the other side of the room.

Once his student spots him, there is a big grin on the boy’s face, happy and relaxed, and he waves over excitedly.

Toshinori just chuckles and waves back, signaling that he will come over in a second.

He doesn’t really care for what that so-called teacher was spouting. He doesn’t, because he knows better.

Izuku is going to be the best hero there ever was.

sevi007:

So
we’ve had using Bakugou as a meme or as a verb, but now think about this –
using the word Bakugou for a whole
language.

Like,
one day, when Bakugou is at it again, swearing left and right for now visible
reason. The others don’t really react to him, knowing him to well to be faced
by his behavior. And as long as he is not insulting them directly, that means
that he is not really angry at one of them, so it’s fine.

Until
Sero comes back into the room, having left before Bakugou had started, and
startles a bit at the sight in front of him. Turning to Shouto, the only one
who seems to really listen to what Bakugou is saying, he asks, “What’s got him
riled up this time?”

“I
don’t really know.”

“Huh?
He didn’t say anything?”

“Well,
I suppose he did,” Shouto shrugs, “But I don’t speak Bakugou.”

Suddenly,
everyone who had pretended to not listen up until now looks up, giving up on
their façade of impassiveness, and everyone asks at once, “What?!”

Well,
not everyone. Shouto blinks, startled at the sudden attention. Bakugou goes
silent, staring wide-eyed at the other boy. And Izuku had choked on his water
and is now coughing into his palm.

“Did
I say something funny?” Shouto frowns slightly, looking from one to the other.
Especially the still coughing Izuku receives a worried gaze.

“Did
you just turn my name into a freaking
language?!”
Bakugou asks, quietly, so incredulous that he doesn’t even
yell.

“…Yes?”

Izuku’s
coughing takes on a whole new quality. It’s not a bad thing, though – Shouto
relaxes, realizing that his friend is not dying over there, but instead
stifling his laughter, shaking with mirth.

Before
Bakugou can overcome his initial surprise, his classmates already pick up this
chance.

Kirishima
starts grinning from ear to ear, showing off uncanny sharp teeth and gleaming
eyes. “That’s brilliant!”

Bakugou
whirls towards him, expression morphing from surprise into something akin to
shocked anger. “Hair for Brain, I’m freaking warning you….!”

“Bakugou
has his own language!” Kirishima continues without a care in the world. “That’s
so true!”

“You
mean his swearing?” Momo wants to know. “How is that a language?”

“It’s
about how he uses the swearing, I think,” Kaminari chimes in, tapping his chin in
thought. “Like, he doesn’t use the swear words in their original sense – there
is more meaning behind it.”

“Yeah!”
Now it’s Mina who has picked up, all for it. “Remember when he told us that we
are useless and then did the work all himself? “Useless” actually means that we
shouldn’t bother with something that we can’t do when he is there to do it for
us!”

“Oh,
I never thought of it that way.”

“Or
the dead threats! He only uses those when he is embarrassed or touched…”

“…
but can’t show it and then he insults us?”

“Exactly!”

“Could
you all shut up, you damn morons?!”
Bakugou had finally managed to find his voice again, and that in quite a
volume. “There is no such thing as my language,
you idiots!”

His
classmates go silent, interrupted in their musings, and look over at him, gazes
curious and contemplating.

As
they start smiling, Bakugou suddenly regrets saying anything.

“So
when useless means don’t bother…”, Mina starts, smile
turning into a smirk.

Kaminari
joins her all too happily, grin mischievous. “…and death threats are to cover
something up, then insulting us means probably…”

It is
Kirishima who finishes, sing-song voice and all, “Insults means that he loves
us!”

And
Bakugou all but explodes. He surges
forward with loud swearing, catapulted forward by his stuttering explosions –
indicating that he is not really in charge of his emotions right now.

He
misses Kaminari, who dodges with a jump, and Kirishima, who rolls out from
under his explosive friend.

Suddenly,
everyone is laughing, screaming, and scrambling to get away from Bakugou, who
hollers after them: “COME BACK HERE, YOU GODDAMN PESTS!”

“He
loves us so much, guys – whoa!“ Sero
laughs before he dives away with a startled yelp which turns into laughter as
Bakugou’s grapping hand misses him, too.

“We
love you too, buddy!” Kirishima yells, happily, before he runs for his life.

“SHUT
IT ALREADY!”

When
Aizawa and Toshinori come running shortly later, worried by the screaming and
sounds of explosions, they only see their students running around like crazy,
sidestepping all the while as Bakugou chases them through the dorms, swearing
and yelling.

Only
Izuku, Uraraka, Tsuyu, Shouto, Kouda and Iida have somehow managed to stay out
of it.

“…Do
I even want to know it?” Aizawa addresses them.

“Probably
not, Sensei,” Izuku answers, honestly.

Aizawa
considers that for a moment, checks again – Bakugou is not really hurting
anyone, not even really trying – and then nods. “Fine.”

And
he walks away as if nothing happened.

Toshinori
stays to watch, torn between amusement and slight worry. “Do I want to know it?”

His
students exchange gazes, considering. Shouto mumbles something that sounds like
“Shouldn’t have said that?” but Izuku laughs and pats his back reassuringly.

“Did
you know Sensei?” Uraraka is the one to start talking, smiling brightly.
“Bakugou-kun has his very own language!”

“Really?
Now that sounds interesting…”

Basically,
Bakugou never gets out of this ever again. Whenever he starts swearing loudly,
his classmates smile so knowingly and almost fond, that Bakugou almost swallows his tongue the first few times
this happens.

(He
would never admit that he gets used to it over time.)

harunnn:

“No, Shouta you need to say it with more confidence!”
“With more confidence… Hizashi, who was this going to again? Why do I have to do this…?”
“Just do it please? I’ll handle your class so you can sleep. Do this for me?”
“Jeez…. what was the line again? French… french girls?? What…”

I’m dedicating this to @tandembicycles, @kawaiijohn and @ukitakejuushiro  !

So thank you, keep being your funny selves, and pls accept this!

Can I just point out that Aizawa’s reservation towards All Might at the beginning of the series partly originated from the fact that he thought the other is noisy and annoying and too concentrated on publicity and all that…

… while Aizawa, all the while, is friends with Present Mic.

Can we please cease with the notion that Aizawa is a lazy bum? This man is an outright workaholic. So much so, that he reappears at his teaching post wrapped head to toe in bandages from injuries that almost cost him his eyesight when he should have still been bedridden in the hospital. He may not care much about how the public perceives him, but that coupled with not getting enough rest from from working two full time jobs does not equate to laziness. It is quite literally the complete opposite. He isn’t lazy. He’s just blatantly exhausted. Let him sleep.

I know you like Bakugou and all, but like…I wish he’d gotten off a little less easy for this, sorry. It’s getting frustrating for me to watch him being coddled and all of his abusive actions being excused (a bad mental health day/week/month/whatever does NOT excuse the harm someone does to people) and him constantly getting off with a slap on the wrist or no punishment at all for bullying people. Kind of wish the school would just tell him they’ll expel him if he doesn’t get his act together.

Bakugou has been kidnapped, used as a hostage, all but molested (i mean, what else would you call what the Sludge villain did to him?) all at the age of 14, then he lost to someone he had a superiority complex over for nearly a decade and nearly (or did, depending on your point of view of how that scene went) had an emotional breakdown because of it, won the Sports Festival only because Todoroki couldn’t use his full power against him and Bakugou won in a way that was utterly unsatisfactory to him and felt like Todoroki couldn’t even bother to fight Bakugou at his fullest b/c Bakugou wasn’t worth it, went to Best Jeanist to train and instead basically wasted time and had his hair and clothes styled/changed for him, was forced to swallow his pride and work with Izuku to beat All Might which frustrated him to the point of tears (and he nearly gave up instead, which, for a boy who’s very model of what a hero is is based on Always Winning, this is a Big Thing), was kidnapped AGAIN by Shigaraki and was terrified out of his mind during it, was kidnapped IMMEDIATELY AFTARWARDS by AFO and had to be rescued by his classmates so he wouldn’t become a burden for All Might, and then blamed himself for All Might losing his powers and retiring, failed the Provisional Licence exam because of his bad behavior, breaks down again because all the guilt, the shame, the frustration to losing to Izuku, and confusion and struggle and everything, was finally too much for him to handle and he literally had no idea what to do until All Might showed up and explained everything.

from the very first chapter, Bakugou has been systematically punished by the narrative, over and over and over again. not specifically for his treatment of Izuku, but it’s not as if he’s been unpunished for his actions, either, and i’m sure that this is Horikoshi’s intent for having all of this happen to Bakugou in the first place.

Bakugou is going to apologize and make up for his actions towards Izuku, i know he will. but you can’t force him to do it because he’s not ready to as of right now.

but he is going to make up for it somehow, because that is where the narrative is heading, and he’s already heading there as of the last chapter.

image
image

he’s giving Izuku advice. he’s framing it in an insulting way, but he’s giving Izuku advice on how to improve his fighting style. he never would have done that before all of this.

the narrative is basically hitting Bakugou where it hurts constantly, over and over again, and forcing him to change and learn from his behavior, whether he wants to or not.

i’m not excusing what he did to Izuku, because he did a lot of horrible things and he needs to make up for his actions. but in the span of just a few months, this kid has been through a lot and he has indeed been punished and put down by the narrative in many, many different ways that are specifically designed to hit him in the places it’ll hurt him the most

i’ve never excused his actions, but he’s just a kid, and kids can only take so much before they begin to break. god, he’s just a 15 year old child.

image
image

and again, it’s not as if he’s been unpunished by his behavior. he was absolutely punished for his bad attitude during the Provisional License exam by failing it, and he’s going to have to take extra classes in order to make up for it. if he were being coddled, he would’ve still passed regardless his bad attitude towards the victims.

Horikoshi does him no favors.

he’s been punished enough by the narrative, and i do think that Aizawa gave them a fair punishment for their actions. their whole fight was framed as a schoolyard fight between two frustrated kids, after all.

image
image
image
image

it wasn’t really about the fight. it wasn’t about who beat who. the whole fight was there just so that these characters, these two children, could finally have an outlet for their emotions because they’ve never tried to talk to each other before, and this was the only way.

they’ve never tried to express their emotions to each other before. they’ve never tried to listen. this is something both of these characters needed.

being told that he’ll be expelled isn’t going to help his behavior. it’ll do the opposite, if anything. any more punishment than what they received would be overkill.

image

they acted like children, so they’re being treated like children. they’re doing chores and cleaning just like any kids who broke the rules would.

Aizawa gives fair punishments. if he doesn’t think someone has potential, he expels them.

and also, please note: neither Izuku or Bakugou were seriously injured from their fight. otherwise, Aizawa would’ve sent them to Recovery Girl. all they got were some scratches, cuts, and bruises.

image
image

when Bakugou challenged Izuku and Todoroki, i wouldn’t be surprised if Aizawa was considering the idea of expulsion. however, Izuku and Bakugou were forced to be partners and, after a while, they were able to work together and pass the End of Term exam, so whatever might’ve happened otherwise was dropped.

but make no mistake, Bakugou’s behavior here was noted by Aizawa, and Bakugou was forced to move past this attitude and work with Izuku as punishment.

image

back to the events of the recent chapters, All Might even says that the events that happened between Bakugou and Izuku were just as much the adult’s fault as it was the kid’s. the children’s mental and emotional health is just as important as their strength and growth as heroes, and Bakugou seriously needed some help with that.

and, not to mention, All Might let them fight it out. he eavesdropped long enough to know about Bakugou’s guilt, and let Bakugou and Izuku fight and express their emotions this way, because honestly, i don’t think they could’ve been able to talk it out in any other way. i’m not saying this is healthy behavior, because god knows it isn’t, but for these two it may have been the only way for them to clear the air.

image

and it worked.

they’re both on their way to having a much, much less toxic relationship than what they had before. they might not be friends, but their relationship is much more positive compared to what it was before, because they finally let out all of those nasty emotions.

Bakugou and Izuku are much more calm, and are able to have a conversation now without it turning violent or angry. they got all of those complicated emotions out of their system and finally talked it out, if at least a little, and both are going to be better from it.

image

hell, Bakugou even fully admitted that he threw the first punch. in no way is he blaming izuku for what happened. Bakugou is taking full responsibility for what he did.

and again, Bakugou is giving Izuku advice. he’s helping Izuku in a very backwards, round about way, because it’s the only way he knows. but he’s still helping Izuku, something he absolutely would never have done before.

Bakugou is growing. he’s learning. whether he wants to or not, he’s changing for the better, and he’s starting to realize that he is changing. that maybe he has to change. maybe he needs to.

he’s already showing a positive change after this fight. he’s taking responsibility for his actions, he’s not blaming Izuku, he’s giving Izuku advice, and he’s worrying about All Might’s secret getting out. punishing him for any more would be overkill, and it wouldn’t have anymore positive outcomes then what’s already been achieved.

he’s just a kid. he acted like a kid. he’s getting punished like any kid would be.

related metas:

How about, in the dorms, they play the worlds biggest game of the floor is lava. Like, not even Tokoyami or Bakugou can resist the game simply because of childhood memories. They place cushions on the stairs so people can go to different floors. Just the kids playing the floor is lava

saisai-chan:

IT’S NOT JUST A GAME, OKAY. IT’S A FUCKING BLOOD BATH

there are no friends. you have no allies. everyone is out to get you, everyone is out to win, and they will sabotage everyone else in order to secure victory.

quirks are allowed. because of this, Uraraka and Tokoyami are some of the hardest to knock out of the competition. Uraraka can just make herself float, or make objects hover and jump between them. she’ll cancel out her powers and cause whatever poor soul who happened to be the floating armchair to fall onto the floor. Tokoyami, of course, has his Shadow.

Bakugou, Kaminari or Todoroki take Tokoyami out first. their quirks are the worst match up for Tokoyami, and just like in the sports festival, it all ends rather quickly.

Kaminari is often taken out fast. partially because he doesn’t wanna hurt anyone with his quirk. partially because he’s just. naturally clumsy.

there are debates about whether Todoroki’s ice counts as lava or as an object. Todoroki insists that it should count as an object because it’s ice, but Mineta and Kaminari think it’s cheating and should be counted as him touching the floor.

Kirishima is REALLY DIFFICULT to knock out because he can make himself hard and block all attacks. he’s usually one of the last few in the game.

Sero can use his tape to bounce from object to object. the only way to knock him out is if you body slam him, or cut his tape mid-swing. he’ll also use his tape to grab onto unsuspecting people to make them stumble and fall to their dramatic deaths. he’s great at knocking people out.

Aoyama is easy to knock to the floor. it’s hard to use his laser indoors and he’s not as agile as the others. he’s usually the first to go.

Mineta is goddamn hard to pick off. his balls stick to ANYTHING and sometimes he’ll just stick to walls and stay out of the chaos. he’ll also throw his balls at people in order to knock them off their balance–they end up in really odd positions, stuck upside down to the side of the counter, or sideways on the back of the couch. either way, they can’t get off and they’re forced to forfeit.

Momo is somewhere in the middle. she’s great at making objects to defend or help herself, but sometimes it takes too long to make them and she’s knocked out before she can dodge.

Shouji is VERY HARD to knock off balance. but he finds it easy to take people out (in non-harmful ways; even if it’s a competition, he’s not gonna accidentally hurt his classmates). HOWEVER, sometimes his size makes it hard for him to jump onto the smaller objects and he’ll fall over thanks to his own weight.

Tsuyu is queen. she’s super quick and agile and able to stick to anything, and her tongue makes it easy for her to sabotage the others. she is ruthless. (tho she apologizes after every ‘attack’)

Mina has AMAZING reflexes and is hard to hit. she’s usually taken out by her own misjudgement of where she’s landing, or someone accidentally knocking into her.

Satou and Kouda, like Shouji, are also very big. both have a hard time finding balance when landing on smaller surfaces. Satou’s quirk doesn’t really help him here, and he IS getting better with his balance. Kouda makes up for his lack of balance by sending bugs after people who’re trying to get him out of the game.

Ojirou is goddamn hard to knock off balance with that tail of his. plus, he’s a martial artist, so he’s got a LOT of balance training. he’s usually one of the last few left.

Jirou is able to use her sound attacks to vibrate tables and the floor in order to throw off the other student’s balance. she is, however, rather easy to knock out b/c it takes concentration to use her attacks, and she leaves herself open.

Iida uses his engines to fly from table to chair to pillow, but sometimes the momentum will make him trip. he finds the game great practice for his control, tho he does get frustrated since he lost a few times at first

Tooru. Tooru is fucking HARD to beat because she plays in her hero outfit (or less) and no one can see where she lands. the only thing they have

to by by

are her little reaction sounds (from jumping and landing) when figuring out where she is

and last but not least, Izuku and Bakugou. these two. these two are the GODDAMN HARDEST OF ALL THE STUDENTS TO BEAT.

THEY’VE BOTH GOT AMAZING REFLEXES, THEY BOTH CAN MANEUVER IN THE AIR, AND PARKOUR IS GODDAMN THEIR MIDDLE NAME. not to mention they’re both SO FUCKING FAST that no one can ever knock them out. fuckers can dodge like no-one’s business, and it frustrates the entire class.

the game almost always ends with these two trying to beat each other. Bakugou gets especially pissed because Izuku learned most of those moves from him, so it’s like he’s fighting a goddamn copy of himself.

they usually end in a tie. they’ll slam into each other and the’ll both get knocked to the ground. they also have the exact same amount of wins and loses.

that doesn’t stop the other students from trying to win, tho. they wanna beat Deku and Kacchan because they’re so amazing, and with each game, it gets harder and harder to knock everyone out.

Bakugou and Izuku actually love this, because it means more training and fighting each other at their best (well, as much as they can in a game like this)

Aizawa and All Might usually watch from the corners to make sure no one gets seriously hurt. they’re so proud of their kids, tho, because this training is so good for them. it’s harmless and great for honing reflexes and attacks.

also, they just love to see their kids improve. what proud dads

isnt aizawa only drawn like that because hes supposed to be buff like all might?

erasergavemehead:

I don’t think so, no but, allow me to explain why!

Firstly, I’m going to use this art drawn by Horikoshi here:

I want to thank @ukitakejuushiro for this post  because they made a very good point here. Aizawa, is holding Bakugou down with literally one arm and absolutely no strain, while Bakugou himself is struggling to get Aizawa’s grip off of him. That’s not the only thing I want to point out here though.

Notice where Bakugou’s left hand stops against Aizawa’s forearm.

That’s a thick ass arm, my dude. Bakugou can’t even wrap his hand around Aizawa’s wrist fully. I know Aizawa looks skinny because he wears a baggy ass black suit as his hero attire and they made him appear like a twig in the anime, but legit this man is beefy. Horikoshi basically confirmed this for us every single time he’s ever drawn Aizawa in fitted clothing.

Aizawa is a broad guy. He is thick. He isn’t a a twig like his loose-fitted black suit would have you believe.

Look at that fucking neck and those shoulders! Also note how wide his waist is and how thick his wrists are.

This is a reasonably buff dude. Which shouldn’t be all that shocking considering he can run across power-lines like it’s the easiest thing in the world to do and also dead lift a soaking wet Deku with one hand like it’s nothing. He has the physical prowess of a gymnast combined with a mixed martial arts fighter.

This isn’t my only point though. Look at All Might:

All Might is a god damn mountain. He’s ENORMOUS. But Aizawa in the hero swap:

He is nowhere near as huge. He’s not even close to All Might’s size here. He’s the exact body type you’d expect from someone who is as physically inclined as he actually happens to be. Also notice that his neck and shoulders aren’t any wider than they’re normally drawn WITHOUT HIS CAPTURE WEAPON ON. That’s another thing you have to take into consideration here. His hero outfit does literally nothing in terms of granting people a nice view, ya feel me? It’s baggy af and his bondage scarf usually covers his shoulders and entire neck. So what we see here is all just for more defined because he’s in a skintight body suit instead of a loose tracksuit with miles of metal woven cloth wrapped around his neck and shoulders.

The last thing I want to add is this:

For every other character Horikoshi has done a costume/quirk swap for, no one’s body type changed. Not one. I get All Might can go back and forth between buff and slim, but I feel like if Horikoshi drew Aizawa to be buff for the sake of portraying All Might, he would have given Aizawa the full All Might, mountain sized body. Not just a beefed up version of himself. Especially since he hasn’t done that for any other character. I mean, Bakugou is Nomu in the very same art but he is no taller, and no buffer than his usual body type. He’s just shirtless.

So I believe that is actually Aizawa’s true, canon body. You just get a much better view of it because the All Might suit is like a second skin 😀

Now I’m a new follower so if you’ve answered an ask like this before I apologize, but why do you ship Kachako?

saisai-chan:

I ACTUALLY HAVE NOT ANSWERED AN ASK LIKE THIS BEFORE SO NO WORRIES

i actually haven’t posted why i enjoy Kacchako so much, tho i have spoken with a few friends about it. but OH MAN…. oh gosh where do i even start jkslg;ha;lghkal;ghskal

ok so. a big part of it comes from their relationship in canon. both characters have a large amount of respect for each other. they’ve only interacted a few times (including in the omake), but each time is fairly insightful to the characters, and particularly when said characters comment about each other to other characters.

but it’s also how their relationship has a lot of potential in the narrative to drive both character’s development further really interesting directions.

to start, their fight. their fight at the Sports Festival was the first time Bakugou ever actually noticed Uraraka. before she was just sorta that unnamed girl who hung around Izuku.

Uraraka had noticed Bakugou before, but mostly she just wanted to stay out of his way (like with her line after the class president vote when Bakugou asks who voted for Deku, “I hope he doesn’t find out it was me…”)

image

but oh man. their fight. their fight is AMAZING on so many levels. it’s not just about Uraraka and Bakugou battling each other, there are many, many layers to it.

for example, the reason why Uraraka is fighting so hard in the first place. she wants to support her parents. her family grew up poor, and the whole reason she’s at UA, trying to become a hero, is because she wants to help support her parents financially. this fight is her proving just how far she’s willing to go in order to fulfill that goal.

she’s willing to go toe-to-toe against Bakugou, who never goes easy on anyone, in order to prove what she’s made of. hell, she even thanks Bakugou for not going easy on her.

image

and it’s not just that. right before this fight, she realized that she was riding on Izuku’s success without improving herself all that much. she thought she was being friendly, but she realized that she really was just hoping that Izuku would get her through the day again.

image
image
image
image

she feels shame for it. when Iida said that he wants to prove himself against Izuku, she feels shameful of her own actions.

so she decided to change. she decided to put her all into fighting Bakugou, proving that she can make it to the finals just like Deku. that she can do it by herself. she wanted to prove it to everyone. she wanted to prove it to herself that she could do it.

this fight gave Uraraka so much character development. before this fight, she was still sorta… there. we didn’t have much character motivation, and she was mostly just the happy, bubbly Love Interest/main female character. we heard that she was poor, but this fight put that motivation to the forefront of her character and proved just how much potential she has to grow and develop.

and on Bakugou’s end, it’s really interesting. right from the get-go he warns her that if she’s gonna forfeit she needs to do it now, because he won’t go easy on her. and through out the fight he proves just that–however, despite the pummeling Bakugou gave her over and over again, she continued to come back for more.

she refused to give up. nothing he did could put her down for long. she always got back up on her feet and kept running in for an attack.

image
image
image
image

Aizawa says it here clearly: by refusing to go easy on her, he’s acknowledging her strength. he’s showing her respect as an opponent. she’s not just a fragile little girl being beaten up by the Big Bad Blasty-guy, they’re equals on the battleground, and Bakugou refuses to let his guard down around her because they’ve both made it this far.

Bakugou lost against Izuku in the first Heroes vs. Villains training arc, and it was largely because he underestimated Izuku, and overestimated himself. Bakugou learned his lesson, and is refusing to do the same thing here.

Uraraka went through the same things he did at UA. she was there during his fight it Izuku, she was there when the villains invaded, she made it through the Sports Festival and met him as an opponent. clearly, she’s not someone to treat lightly.

image

what’s particularly interesting tho, is that at the end of the fight, Bakugou looks EXTREMELY EXCITED to keep fighting her.

Uraraka landed her final attack, which failed (because Bakugou used his largest blast to blow it away–you can see his hands shaking afterwards). Bakugou is ready to keep going, and rushes at her, with this huge, excited grin on his face, and says her name for the first time.

she surprised him. she impressed him. she shocked him.

image

Bakugou doesn’t remember people’s names. he can’t be bothered. he calls everyone by degrading nicknames, like Drooly, or Soy-Sauce Face, Raccoon Eyes, Deku, etc. The only characters he calls by name are All Might, Kirishima, and Uraraka.

All Might, because he’s the person Bakugou looks up to the most.

Kirishima is interesting. Bakugou has known Kirishima fairly well since at least the USJ incident. he kept calling him Hair-for-Brains until the cavalry battle at the Sports Festival, which is the first time he calls Kirishima by his name.

Bakugou first met Uraraka at the Sports Festival, and fought her for half an hour, at best. at the beginning, he calls her Round-Face. however, in that time, she impressed him so much that he started calling her by her name mid-fight.

when Bakugou starts calling people by their names, he doesn’t go back from that. he keeps calling them by their names. it’s his personal form of respect, that’s very subtle and understated.

what’s also really interesting about their fight is Bakugou’s reaction after Uraraka falls.

image

he looks shocked, in a way that we haven’t ever seen before. she impressed him so much, but then she falls and he realizes that she has a limit. someone he admires and wants to fight, actually has a limit.

it’s similar to his shock when All Might’s true form is revealed for the first time.

image

and after it’s over, Bakugou actually confronts Izuku about Uraraka. he berates Izuku for giving Uraraka that dangerous, self-destructive plan. in other words: in a very backhanded way, he’s saying he cares for Uraraka’s safety and well being.

image

he’s reprimanding Izuku for giving her a dangerous plan. Bakugou knows Izuku has a notebook full of notes on heroes and the other kids. Izuku mentioned it to Bakugou in their first fight. it would be a no-brainer to figure out that Izuku must’ve come up with a plan for Uraraka. and Bakugou is right, Izuku was willing to let Uraraka use his notes.

except that Uraraka refused to use them.

Izuku tells Bakugou point-blank that all that Uraraka did on the battlefield was her own plan. he had nothing to do with it. It was all Uraraka.

image
image

when Kaminari starts nagging on Bakugou for hurting a “harmless little girl” like Uraraka, Bakugou mutters to himself that there isn’t anything fragile about her.

this is the first time Bakugou has ever actually praised or defended anyone. he’s always been very much about himself. in the beginning of the manga, he would go on and on and on about how great he was, and how everyone else (in his own class) were all losers, and this attitude is still fairly prevalent.

image

he couldn’t even be bothered to remember his own classmate’s quirks. he’s gotten better about being egotistic since his fight with Izuku (and from watching everyone else in the class–he even admits that he didn’t think he could beat Todoroki at one point), but only just.

but he remembered her name. he defended her against Kaminari’s words. he respected her as an equal and as an opponent. later on, during his fight with Todoroki, he even berates Todoroki for holding back against him, and the manga hovers over Uraraka for a second.

image

Bakugou says only those who try their damnedest to win are allowed to stand before him. he’s referring back to Uraraka. again, in a roundabout sort of way, he’s showing her a lot of respect and praise.

coming from someone like Bakugou, who’s had so many issues with self confidence, ego, and refusing to even acknowledge those around him, that is a lot.

this fight was amazing for both characters, because it gave them BOTH amazing character development. this fight showed just how far Uraraka was willing to go, just how strong her determination is, in fulfilling her goal. this fight was also the first time we’ve see Bakugou develop away from the ‘angry-rival.’ this is the first time we saw him compliment and respect someone else.

this fight is the catalyst for so many amazing things, and the development doesn’t stop there.

image

after the Sports Festival, when the kids are trying to figure out where they want to intern, Uraraka decides to go with Gunhead. largely because of her fight with Bakugou.

she realized that, while she wants to be a disaster relief hero, knowing how to fight in close combat is an invaluable skill that she should learn, and it’ll be a huge advantage to her. it was thanks to her fight with Bakugou that helped her come to this conclusion, and allowed her to improve herself more.

and to move on a bit, lets look at the Omake chapter [which you can find a translation for here]

oh man. this omake. THIS OMAKE.

Uraraka isn’t afraid of Bakugou anymore. not since their fight, in fact. she’s confident enough around him to willing to confront him face-to-face, about his issues with Izuku.

she sees through his act. she says that Bakugou was so cool during their fight, but when it comes to Izuku, Bakugou tries to push him away, as if he’s scared. and he is. he’s scared of Izuku’s progress. it terrifies him. but he’s in denial about it.

Uraraka confronts him about this, sees right fucking through Bakugou’s denial, fear, and pride, and tells him straight up that she thinks he should try to be friends with Izuku again. no other character has done this before. only Uraraka has been able to see through Bakugou so clearly.

Bakugou, presented with this tho, of course yells, goes into fighting stance, and challenges her to a fight (which she responds to immediately with her own battle cry and fighting stance, lmao). and then after Midnight makes them sit down again, Bakugou is back in denial.

however, he keeps calling her by her name. he’s calling her ‘Useless Uraraka’ in his head, but he’s still calling her by her name, which just continues to show his own respect for her, even as he’s pissed and angry.

this omake is fantastic because it gives us a hint into the characters and their relationships. Uraraka has clearly notices the issues between Izuku and Bakugou, and tried to mend them in her own way. Izuku is her friend, and Bakugou respected her as an equal in their fight, and she wants them to be friends again. and she even notices that Bakugou fears Izuku on some level, which is a fantastic bit of introspection from her end.

and later on, she continues to show that she understands Bakugou well. in fact, she’s one of the few people who understands him the best.

image

she says right here that Bakugou would probably view being rescued as a disgrace. and considering the last time he got rescued, she’s right. the only reason the rescue mission worked out in the end is because Kirishima was there.

with Kacchako, there’s just so much room for development. even now, each characters have been pushed further into growing thanks to each other’s actions, and they’ve both shown a remarkable amount of respect and understanding towards each other.

there’s just so much self growth and positivity that could be had with this ship, and i would love to see more of these two interact in canon. if i had to choose a ship that i’d love to see in canon, it would definitely be this, because i think there’s a lot of opportunities for development and growth and for new and interesting places for the narrative to go.

particularly concerning Izuku. Uraraka saw through Bakugou and realized that he fears Izuku. i would love to see her try to become the common ground between them. she, along with Kirishima, could be the bridges that allow those two to mend their relationship in the long run.

again, there’s just so much potential for this ship, both for the characters, their growth, and the narrative.

AHH ANYWAY THIS GOT REALLY LONG BUT i hope that all makes sense!!!

I’m gonna make a serie like this, going to draw more characters with very old and elegant suits ♥

saisai-chan:

so i just wanted to make a post with all of my favorite Bakugou moments

(this was gonna be a post about bakugou-isms. like. moments where bakugou has said/done something inspiring or wise. but. ended up getting carried away jkl;agha)

anyway i apologize because. this is gonna be long

image

1. Bakugou declaring that he refuses to lose to anyone again, recognizing that there are other people who are stronger than him that he needs to surpass.

i just really enjoy this moment, because it was a big wake-up call for his character to realize that he isn’t the best, there are people in the world who can surpass him, and that he needs to work harder to reach his goals. the world isn’t as black and white as he thought, and it’s his first step to his major development later on.

image
image

2. Bakugou calmly analyzing the situation at USJ

i really like this moment b/c it’s s fascinating to watch Bakugou explain that none of their classmates are in danger, and that they should instead go and capture Black Mist, because he’s how the Villains got in in the first place.

it shows that he’s far more than just a violent, angry, rage machine. underneath it all, he’s actually far more intelligent than he seems, and this scene is one of the first that really showcases that

(this is also the moment where Kirishima finally begins to trust him; before this, he was really wary of Bakugou because of how violently he went after Izuku during the Heroes vs. Villains exams (he was seriously worried that Bakugou would kill Izuku). it’s only after this moment where Kirishima changes his initial opinion of Bakugou and begins to trust him)

image
image
image

3. Bakugou explaining that a quirk is nothing more than an extension of a person’s body

i just really love that, of all the characters to do this, it’s Bakugou that explains that even quirks have their limits. it’s a very introspective moment that reminds the audience that these amazing powers aren’t limitless, and that even Bakugou, despite his pride and stubbornness, knows he has limits to what he can do

image
image
image

4. Bakugou’s SHEER GODDAMN TENACITY DURING THE CAVALRY BATTLE

KID JUST REFUSES TO GO DOWN AND BY DOING SO, HE INSPIRES HIS TEAMMATES WITH HIS DETERMINATION AND DESIRE TO WIN AND THEY IN TERN BECOME DETERMINED TO WIN AND NOTHING IS GONNA STOP HIM FROM BECOMING NUMBER ONE AND IT’S JUST SO AWESOME AND ENERGETIC AND  I LOVE IT

image

5. Bakugou acknowledging Uraraka’s strength

PRETTY SELF EXPLANATORY, TBH. i love how he refuses to cal her weak in any capacity, defending her against Kaminari’s words. he fought her. he knows better than anyone here that she is anything but weak. and this is the first moment where he’s vocally defending another person, which i love b/c it’s another step in his character development

image
image
image

6. Bakugou telling off Todoroki for standing before him without the intent to win

this scene really shows a lot of what motivates Bakugou’s character. He wants to win against Todoroki–who’s one of the strongest in the class–and prove himself as the best. But Todoroki isn’t really fighting back, because he’s going through personal issues, which is understandable and under no fault of his own.

tbh, i think it’s an interesting point to think about, because everyone at the Sports Festival is here to win. they’re all trying their best–Bakugou, Izuku, Uraraka (who Bakugou even alludes to in his rant above), Momo, etc. and it is kind of insulting to fight someone who isn’t even really trying to fight back against you in a tournament where that’s the entire purpose of it all.

that’s why Bakugou fought so hard against all of his opponents, because they all got to this level. he’s showing them respect by not going easy on them. and Bakugou finds it extremely insulting that Todoroki isn’t. i just find it a fascinating aspect to his character. it’s kind of an off-shoot of a ‘warrior’s code’ sort of thing

image

7. Bakugou refusing to accept his win at the Sports Festival

again, i think it shows an interesting aspect of his character, because he feels like this win wasn’t deserved, because Todoroki didn’t give it his all. it’s a hollow win, and Bakugou knows it, and he refuses to accept it.

image
image

8. the strength of Bakugou’s ideal of what a hero should be and his SHEER GODDAMN TENACITY DURING THE END OF TERM EXAM

I just love that his ideal of what a hero should be is based on All Might, the ultimate hero, who NEVER loses. this his why he became a hero in the first place, this is what motivates him in everything he does. to Bakugou, real heroes never lose, so he absolutely has to win. always.

and i love how he just refuses to give up–maybe it’s not always the greatest thing (pushing himself too far and all) but i find that really admirable too. no matter what, he just refuses to give up, and i love that (even if it isn’t exactly the best thing sometimes). he’s gonna do everything in his power to win, because that’s what heroes do, and nothing short of being knocked unconscious is gonna stop him.

image
image

9. Bakugou absolutely fucking REFUSING to join the Villain Alliance, practically BLOWING SHIGARAKI’S FACE UP WHILE DOING SO, because no matter what they say, he’s going to be a HERO, and goddammit.

he was inspired by All Might, that’s the person who motivated him to become a hero in the first place, that’s the person who he’s admired since he was a child, and the person he wants to become like. and nothing in this world is going to change that.

image

10. Bakugou refusing to lie, even when he’s been kidnapped and surrounded by villains.

i just find it fascinating that this is one of his personal morals, and that he (like All Might) doesn’t lie. he may be in denial more often than not, but he never lies.

image
image

11. Aizawa defending Bakugou against the reporters

i just love how Aizawa understands Bakugou, how he realizes that Bakugou is no way in danger of becoming a villain. how Bakugou’s motivations come from an different place entirely. how it all comes from his ideal of strength, and of what a hero should be. i just really love that.

image

12. Bakugou thanking All Might for saving him.

this is the third time All Might saved Bakugou. the first time, in chapter one, Bakugou was in complete denial. he didn’t need saving. he didn’t need anyone. how dare anyone think he needed rescuing?

the second time, at the Villain’s Alliance base, he was, again, in denial. he didn’t need All Might to come save him; even if he was happy and relieved that All Might was there, he wasn’t gonna admit to it. no way. absolutely not.

the third time… All Might saved him (and everyone at Kamino) by fighting against AFO. by refusing to go down. by using the last of his strength to defeat AFO, revealing his secret to the world, giving up OFA, and retiring for good.

Bakugou feels guilty for this. he feels like the cause of All Might’s retirement. for getting kidnapped in the first place. for not being strong enough to save himself. so this time, he’s without denial or bluster. instead, he quietly thanks All Might for saving him, because he knows what All Might gave up to do it.

it’s a big moment of character growth for him. prior to all of that, Bakugou never would’ve done that. but the weight of All Might’s sacrifice was just too much, it humbled him. he couldn’t deny it anymore. so he sincerely thanked All Might for saving him, for the first time, quietly admitting to his weakness.

image

13. Bakugou giving Kirishima back the money he used to buy the night vision goggles for the rescue mission (learning about it from Kaminari), while also cheering the class up after Aizawa scolded them, by making Kaminari fry his brain and making them all laugh.

just… what a fantastic moment of character growth from Bakugou. he felt guilty for Kirishima using his money to buy those goggles (which ended up getting destroyed during the mission), and he feels bad for being the reason why class getting reprimanded in the first place. so he fixes both situations as best he can, while still being his gruff, grumpy self.

he gives back the money, and cheers the class up at the same time. and Aizawa totally catches onto it, too. “A farce like this has it’s place once in a while, I suppose.” it just shows that Bakguou actually does care about his class, Kirishima in particular.

it shows that he cares his friends and his class, and i love that

image

14. Kaminari talking about Bakugou during the Provisional License Exam

Kaminari mentions how the insulting words Seiji is throwing at them stings, and Sejii assumes Kaminari is talking about himself. he isn’t. Kaminari corrects him while throwing one of Bakugou’s grenades, which gives a visual cue of who he’s talking about. Bakugou.

Bakugou got angry at Seiji’s words. he charged in recklessly because he couldn’t stand the insults to UA anymore. he got upset at hearing the people he cares about be insulted. and then Kaminari goes on to say/think about how Bakugou wasn’t using the full force of his attacks.

he was purposefully using lower-powered blasts in order to keep Kirishima and Kaminari safe. he purposefully put himself at a disadvantage just so he wouldn’t accidentally hurt them with the force of his attacks.

Kaminari realizes this and praises Bakugou, defends him against Seiji’s words. he may not have the kindest or sweetest personality, but he’s serious about being a hero. he’s serious about keeping them safe. he’s serious about everything, and he can’t stand hearing Seiji insult him, the people he cares about, or UA.

image
image
image

15. Bakugou’s guilt at causing All Might’s retirement.

oh my god, save this child. save him. he completely, totally blames himself for causing the person he admires the most, the person who inspired him to become a hero, the man who’s motivated him since he was a child, to fall.

he’s just 15. he’s just a child. and he feels guilty for this, he’s feeling the full weight of it on his shoulders, breaking down from it all, and he doesn’t know how to handle it. he’s scared. he’s terrified. he feels horrible. the number 1 hero in the world was forced to retire and it’s all his fault

he’s been blaming himself for this for weeks. he’s just a child. he isn’t responsible for any of it, but he feels like he is. if only he were stronger, if only he got away on his own power, if only he did this or that, maybe All Might would still be a hero. if only he wasn’t so weak.

i love this moment, as painful as it is, because it shows just how human Bakugou is. it shows that he really is just a child dealing with horrible guilt, among other emotional issues (feeling like Izuku was looking down at him for all these years, being terrified that Izuku could one day surpass him, realizing that All Might acknowledged Izuku over him, having a superiority and inferiority complex that just exploded, feeling desperate for an answer over what he should do, and who was right in how they admired All Might (Bakugou for how he always wins, Izuku for how he always saves people with a smile, etc)).

in the end, he’s still just a child. a child dealing with so much more than he ever let on until this fight, where it all exploded out of him, because he just didn’t know how to handle them. he couldn’t bottle it up anymore.

(i will never, ever excuse or justify any of the horrible things Bakugou did in the past. what he did was inexcusable. but god.. he’s still just a child.)

i love this moment because he’s so scared, terrified, upset, confused, desperate and just so damn human in this moment, and i love it. he’s not just an angry kid. he’s not just a violent, rage machine. there are so many emotions that drive him and i love it so much.

image

16. Bakugou supporting Izuku after their fight

i just…. really love this. Bakugou has had so many issues with Izuku in the past, many of them stemming from misunderstandings. as mentioned above, he thought Izuku was looking down on him. he was terrified of Izuku’s growth, feared that one day he could actually surpass him one day. but now they’ve talked. now they understand each other better. now Izuku has the support of All Might… and he can’t be losing.

(and again, none of those reasons justify what Bakugou did to Izuku for those ten years. but they explain why he did it in the first place. i just want to emphasize that)

to Bakugou, real heroes never lose. Bakugou is applying that to Izuku, now. he’s got the greatest hero in the world helping him, and he can’t be losing. Bakugou, in his own way, is supporting Izuku. it’s one of the biggest moments of character growth for him. for the longest time, he was terrified of Izuku. scared he’d be left behind while Izuku grew stronger. but now he’s putting that aside.

Izuku has All Might’s power. he has All Might’s support. they both admired him… and now Izuku is being supported by him. so now Bakugou will, too.

Izuku has the greatest hero in the world looking after him. he can’t be losing now. not anymore.

image
image
image

17. Bakugou encouraging Kirishima

i just…. look at how far Bakugou has come. he went from being terrified of others being better than him–of not being as great as he grew up believing–and now he’s supporting Izuku (the person who scared and frustrated him the most), and now he’s actively giving encouragement and helping his friend.

hell. Bakugou has friends now. he didn’t have any at the beginning of the series; he was to full of pride to see anything but  himself. but now he does, and he’s giving them encouragement. giving Kirishima encouragement. and he’s doing so by drawing from the Kamino incident, the very incident that gave him so much guilt and confusion and pain. the incident that probably gave him nightmares for who knows how long.

he’s bringing up that incident to comfort and support and encourage his friend. he’s talking about how there are different kinds of strength out there–that just refusing to go down is it’s own strength. this from the kid who’s entire philosophy on heroism is to never lose.

he’s not scared of being surpassed. he’s got friends now. he’s helping and supporting them in his own way. he’s not afraid to think of the very incident that caused him so much pain; he’s healing from it, slowly. he’s learned from it. he’s slowly accepting that it wasn’t his fault. he’s admitting that there are other kinds of strength out there, besides just winning. it’s about refusing to go down (like All Might did at Kamino).

this is one of my favorite moments, even tho it’s so short, because it’s a culmination of Bakugou’s character development so far in the story. it’s a small moment, but it wouldn’t mean anything without the hundred or so chapters proceeding it, showing all of Bakugou’s complexities, and all of his personal issues, motivations, emotional struggles, etc.

this moment is great because it shows just how far Bakugou has come since chapter one. he’s almost a completely different character than who he was, where he began. and that’s why i love it so much

long story short Bakugou is an incredibly complex kid and i love him a lot

Ne (Extroverted Intuition):  Hisoka primarily lives by Extroverted Intuition. He constantly conceives interesting approaches towards the environment which breaks the limits of what is generally known to the characters of Hunter x Hunter. Although Hisoka may seem excessively eccentric and irrational on the outside, he persistently forms connections of the world around him, constantly breaking the limits of what is established within the external universe and occasionally surprising certain characters due to his perceptive nature. Hisoka isn’t focused with the present moment and is engrossed within his innovative/perceptive mindset which makes him incapable of forming permanent associations with the people nor objects around him.

Hisoka deals with the future and it’s potential, hence his interest towards Gon’s natural talents as it would result in Gon’s extreme mastery in nen and Hisoka’s fulfillments in living within his unborn perceptions and possibilities of the future. Although Hisoka’s fixations with the unpredictabilities and possibilities of Gon, Chrollo, Illumi, The Phantom Troupe and Killua’s abilities may allow him to seem like a dominant Se user, notice that Gon, Illumi, Killua and Chrollo’s full extent of their skills aren’t fully established within the present moment. Se users trust what is in the now and are much less futuristic than Ne users. Hisoka enjoys dealing with enigma’s such as himself. His interests in his opponent’s abilities has to do with it’s enigmatic substances within them.

Ti (Introverted Thinking): Introverted thinking gives Hisoka a competitive edge. This function also enhances his mastery in nen and teaches him to accurately anticipate the nature of his opponents and obstacles which allows him to use his skills in an effective manner. Hisoka could depict a host of small details on his opponents personality and recognise in one mental image the nen types his opponents most likely posses, often succeeding in this aspect. He often comes up with more effective ways in mastering his nen and is aware of the many variables his nen could be utilised in a more intelligent manner, making him a tough competitor inside and outside the Hunter’s exam.

Introverted thinking allows Hisoka to be immersed within his self appointed tasks, such as constantly challenging himself through battling stronger opponents. Hisoka becomes one with this process and attunes himself towards every detail of it. He constantly picks up something new and is keen towards adding his new found awareness/knowledge towards his skillset. This function also teaches Hisoka to analyse his Ne related desires and prioritise his needs. if Hisoka had little to no control over this function, his orientation towards the world would be more chaotic than it already is. He would display his Ne interests towards too many variables and it would be hard for him when it comes to mastering his nen.

“Introverted thinkers understand reality in terms of their ability to converse with it, to take part in it’s becoming.”- Lenore Thomson

Hisoka’s auxiliary introverted thinking also forms Hisoka’s perceptions and dealings with reality. Hisoka isn’t driven by the individualistic moral obligations of Fi but his interests of conversing with reality through his auxiliary Ti. Hisoka utilises his skills in nen as an advantage when it comes to interacting and understanding reality. The more exposure Hisoka obtains through his abilities with nen, the more Hisoka obtains the skills to be able to converse with the chaos of the Hunter x Hunter verse.

Fe (Extroverted Feeling): Although Hisoka isn’t very skilled in using this function. Extroverted Feeling allows Hisoka to temporarily play into social gestures. Hisoka tries to get on with Machi by giving her encouragements and praising her nen and even goes to the extent of asking her out for dinner. Due to many characters familiar of Hisoka’s shrewd nature which he fails to hide, Hisoka’s social gestures are often deemed untrustworthy and treated as nothing but insignificant. This causes Hisoka’s displeasure to an extent despite brushing it off with ease.

Due to his extroverted feeling being his tertiary function, Hisoka is not fully capable of comprehending the benefits of comradeship and sharing the same moral values. Hence his distance towards the Phantom Troupe in general. The rest of the Troupe were busy avenging the death of Uvogin by conducting a massacre within the city whilst Hisoka stands by the top of the building, admiring and observing the scenario.

A moment in which Hisoka’s Fe had reached a breakthrough is where Hisoka agreed to team up with Gon and Killua instead of getting side tracked by his Ne and Ti wants. Hisoka managed to see this social situation as a benefit between both parties and is happy to move along with Gon and Killua’s competitive spirit during the Greed Island arc.

Si (Introverted Sensing): Introverted sensing is a stabilising catalyst in which Hisoka doesn’t use very well. Introverted sensing is a function where ENxPs find permanent priorities which are practical and stabilising which Hisoka fails to do. Hisoka’s priorities are highly irrational and emotionally charged, he prioritises his wants and needs over everyone else which makes him unable to fully connect with people or objects. Hisoka doesn’t set tangible priorities which isolates Hisoka from the people and objects around him.

Hisoka’s adaptability, need for personal freedom and self confidence has to do with him rejecting his inferior function. Machi had stated that Hisoka is loyal to nothing but himself and has unbelievably high self esteem. Like I’ve mentioned with his dominant Ne, Hisoka is engrossed within his eccentric mindset and is unable to attach himself to people or things, making him extremely vulnerable if his Ne and Ti desires were to ever fail him. Personally as a viewer, I can’t really see Gon and the gang, Illumi nor Machi aiding him in his times of need.

Introverted Sensing as Hisoka’s inferior function also makes him less sensitive towards other’s priorities. This is shown where Hisoka jokingly suggested to harm Killua which resulted in Illumi’s wrath. Or him not wanting to attune himself towards the Spider’s priorities.

anime-closet-fan:

If I wake up in the middle of the night and find Hisoka watching me sleep:

50% of me has already accepted the fact that I’m about to die.

50% would ask him to cuddle with me. I’ve accepted my fate anyway.

I just realized something about Hunter x Hunter.

sleepy-savior:

Specifically, this part of the Manga made me realize this.

That is Ging, copying Leorios teleporting punch. He also explains the details of Leorios punch.

Basic version, Leorio can hit something, through the shock wave feel every detail of that thing, and then have a punch teleport wherever he wants within what he can sense. Ging explains that the ability is perfect for Leorios goals of being a doctor, because he could basically punch people, feel their cancer, and destroy it. He can punch peoples cancer out of them.

Now as cool as that is, what Ging does next is more amazing, and made me realize something. Ging, by understanding Leorios punch, was able to replicate it to sense and beat up a group of enemies.

This made me realize that everyone in Hunter x Hunter is an idiot. There is nothing stopping anyone else from doing this. But aside from Ging, every single character develops their own abilities and then just completely gives up on ever trying anything else. (Aside from Cheeto, who changed his ability twice, though the second change we never got to see)

They’re all idiots. Killua when he stole tentacles from Ikalgo? Could have just used Bungee Gum, it’s actually entirely his Nen type too so it’d be pretty strong, and super simple, Nen+sticky+stretchy. Gon could do that. Anyone could. I doubt anyone else could be as skilled with using it as Hisoka, but there’s nothing stopping them from just… Doing stuff with it. Or other simple abilities. Summoning a weapon? Sure, might only be 40% as strong as your main ability, but that could still be a pretty strong weapon. (Like, Killua could have just… Created Nen yo-yo’s, made them even heavier and more conductive. They wouldn’t be as strong as if a Conjurer had summoned them, but I’m betting they’d still be pretty strong.)

It just… Baffles me that this is a thing, that it occurs to nobody to just… Practice some simple other tricks with Nen. And I’m betting this is exactly why Ging is considered such a powerful person. Because instead of creating a Nen ability and training that, he just… Practiced Nen, can do a whole bunch of stuff, just a whole bunch of different abilities.

Gladnis week day 6–> Battle Wounds
“The worst battle wounds aren’t engraved on your body. They run deeper. And leave scars.”
Because for me, Gladnis is most of all Noct. He is the most important for the both of them and they loved him.

(I won’t reiterate the whole “be gentle with the comments because everyone makes angst and meaningful stuff and you don’t need to offend them because of that”)
