You curled up in bed, your arms wrapping about your knees as you let your eyes close. You rested your forehead on your arms as you huffed softly, then let out a soft sob. Everything lately was just so damned difficult.
The harsh words, the constant degrading you heard behind your back, the fact that people seemed to go out of their way to make you feel bad about yourself because of how you act. They blame your personality, that you’ll always be alone because you’re always so abrasive.
You clenched a hand into a fist, your nails biting into your palm as you gritted your teeth. Your eyes hurt from all the crying you had done earlier, and now they felt raw as you had angrily wiped away all your tears.
“Fuck ‘em.” you snarled through your teeth, your hand now clenched so hard your knuckles went white. You lifted your head from your knees, hearing a soft knock on your door to your quarters. You held your breath, waiting to see if you were hearing things…before you heard it again.
“Agent?”
You paused, going wide eyed, before you curled in on yourself a bit more, resting your chin upon your arms. You hoped maybe if you didn’t say anything, he’d go away.
“I know you’re in there Agent. Open up.”
“Go away…”
You flinched at the sound of your own voice, so hoarse and broken that you hid your face against your arms again, only to have your head snap upwards a moment later as you heard your door slide open, and he stepped in.
“I told you to go–”
“I’m not leaving you alone, Agent.”
That red visor of his locked right on you, his brows lifted high. You huffed.
“And why not? Or are you here to talk bad about me too? At least I know you’re the type to actually say the shit to my face that most mutter behind my back.”
You looked away from him, frowning, your hand still clenched in that tight fist, and your hand practically shook with the force that you put into it.
You heard your door slide back shut, as you heard him sigh softly. His heavy footfalls brought him up to the edge of your bed.
“Agent…”
“Just, say it, and get out.”
As he stood there you curled in on yourself a bit more, before you felt those tears prick in the corner of your eyes again. You knew he was judging you, seeing you as weak as everyone else did.
“Just hurry up and tell me that I’m worthless, that my attitude is poor and that I’ll be alone forever. Or that I’m not that good looking, or that I’m–”
You gasped, your breath quickening, as it was getting harder to breathe. Your emotions were starting to get the better of you…and of all the people to see you lose control over them…He was the last person on this planet you wanted to look weak in front of. Yet, here you were.
“–I’m not worth the air or space I take up. Just hurry up and tell me that I’m no good and leave me alone.”
You were starting to hyperventilate at this point. Everything was just so god damned overwhelming. You couldn’t stand it. You felt your tears roll down your cheeks, and a strangled sob passed your lips as you tried even harder to make it all stop.
“Y/N.”
He spoke your name so softly, so full of concern that your head snapped up to look at him thinking it to be a joke, but when your eyes met his blue ones, you gasped, your breath hitching in your throat.
“Hey…” he moved then, his hand gently brushing against your shoulder which caused you to flinch away from him. “Y/N.” He spoke your name again, softer and you whimpered softly, shaking your head almost vehemently.
You felt him move yet again, his arm going around the back of your shoulders, and you expected him to sit next to you, but instead he surprised you by quickly moving to pick you up, and sit behind you, his legs on either side of your own as he rested his back against the headboard, and brought your back to his chest.
You trembled lightly, still attempting to make sense of what was happening but trying to catch your breath was such a chore. You felt his arms gently wrap about you, his fingers gently petting along your forearms.
“Slowly, Sweetheart.” You felt and heard him take a slow deep breath behind you. And though you wanted to curl into yourself further, you found yourself slowly following suit. “…keep following me, slowly. You’ve got this.”
Your sobs and quick breaths slowly began to ebb, and you let your eyes close a moment as you took your first deep breath in what felt like days. You felt his arm gently wrap about your chest as he pulled you gently, but firmly against him.
“I’ve got you.”
Your breath hitched a moment before you let out a soft sob again, his free hand rose, gently petting through your hair, as he coaxed your head to fall back against his shoulder. His head tilted ever so gently against you as he held you, cheek pressed to your own. His fingers still carded gently through your hair.
“You are not what they say you are. You are much stronger than that Sweetheart. I’ve seen you prove them wrong, time and time again.”
You clenched your jaw, your eyes screwing shut as you willed yourself to calm down. Hot tears still ran down your cheeks but his hand moved across your face, his calloused thumb gently petting them away from your eyes.
Sweet kisses are a favorite of his to give or receive, were your lips linger over each other for awhile, grasping on the the loving moment to remember for a long long time

AU Marriage HCs:
McCree and Sombra don’t have a big, fancy wedding. It’s small but takes place outside during a warm spring day, sometime in late May, early in the morning, much to the surprise of the few guests they have, considering Sombra’s a night owl. Jesse suggested it because he loves the way the sunlight catches in Sombra’s hair. The sight of her in her wedding dress and veil in the morning light takes his breath away.
Everyone thinks the couple didn’t splurge on their wedding ceremony because they saved it for afterward – they travel for their honeymoon. All very warm places and usually somewhere near a beach and open bar.
The two end up living in a small ranch house in the Southwest. They like the open space and Jesse is always talking about expanding once they have little ones running around (Sombra just shakes her head in amusement when he says this).
Both continue doing domestic chores together past the ‘honeymoon stage’ because it’s a nice way to spend some time with their spouse. Doing laundry takes forever with these two because they frequently stop to kiss and chase each other around to smack each other on the butt with wet towels.
Sombra never used to get any semblance of good rest before she met McCree. And now that she’s married to him, going to sleep without him is impossible. He snores like a jackhammer but to Sombra, it might as well be white noise. 😂 She also likes pressing up against him and let the rise and fall of his chest lull her to sleep. It does the trick every time. 💕
PET NAMES. OH GOD THE PET NAMES. Jesse could fill an entire book of pet names he has for Sombra. And he loves any pet name she gives him,. He especially likes it when she refers to him as her ‘viejo’. To everyone else it sounds mean but he knows the meaning behind it ❤️️
I have a headcanon that every time they catch each other doing something embarrassing, they just fall more in love. Since McCree ever hardly saw Sombra sleeping pre-marriage, the first time he woke up before her and saw her drooling into her pillow, he simply stared at her with a smug grin until she woke up with a snort. “What’re you smiling about” she asked warily and he told her that she drooled. She blushed a deep red, promptly denying it and grabbing said pillow to smack him over the head while he was too busy laughing his way to chiseled abs.
DATES AND VACATIONS. These two still love going on dates and road trips well into their marriage. Road trips to no where in particular and dates that consist of them getting tipsy and hitting up the dance floor. McCree might also drag Sombra to a rodeo every now and then. She’s not too into it but she likes seeing McCree excited.
Simple things 💖 Sometimes when she doesn’t have a huge workload, Sombra will surprise Jesse at work with home cooked meals and a big thermos of coffee just the way he likes it if he’s going to have to stay late. When Sombra is working and forgets to take breaks, Jesse will pull her away from the computer and lead them to their bed, offering back rubs and suggesting short naps together ❤️️

Being a multishipper in this fandom is a little saddening, to be honest. While your heart is open to all ships, it can get lonely because it’s hard to find people who ships more than one ship, too. People seem to forget that by the end of the day, they’re just fictional characters, and you shouldn’t hurt someone defending fictional characters.
For instance, there’s a lot of hate for ships like BakuDeku, Kacchako, and TodoMomo. I’m sure there’s hate for more ships, but these are the ones that seem to pop up on my dash or other social media I’m on (especially YouTube, jfc). To me, they’re all cute ships! If you like a ship, then great! If not, then also great! But you don’t need to be hating on people or making them feel like trash just to make yourself feel more superior. And for the record, just putting it out there, but even though most of my ships are LGBT+, I don’t ship them because “ohmygod yAOII/yURIII” NO. I feel the emotional value in my ships.
For example, I love TodoDeku because Midoriya became the hero Todoroki needed.
I love KiriBaku because Kirishima teaches Bakugou how to love others while Bakugou teaches him how to love himself.
I love Kacchako because they can raise each other up and saw each other’s strength.
And, the ship that people seem to argue over the most, is BakuDeku. I love this ship because I love the idea of “trying to mend their broken bond.” I don’t like it for the bullying. I don’t like it for the abuse. In fact, I didn’t even like BakuDeku, or even Bakugou, until I saw Bakugou finally growing up and learning from his mistakes.
Hell, even TodoMomo. I don’t have strong feelings for this ship, but I can see why people like them together. There are a lot of other ships that I love but I’m not gonna sit here and name them all because that’s a long ass list lol but the point is, if the hate would die down for just a few seconds, then maybe people could see the value each ship has. Hell, even the crack ships can be cute as fuck.
Look, I really love BNHA but I’m really not trying to be in another Bleach shipping war, you guys. That was toxic as all hell. The hate is still going on and Bleach ended like what… 2 years ago?

I ship Kacchako because they aren’t the typical Shonen ship that have the “unlucky” (that becomes suddenly lucky) and the “cutie devoted girl” one. They have opposite characters and the ambition along with their stubburness that they’ve in common makes me think that they can improve the other one, even for their aspiration to be heroes.
Also, they respect each others and I like how Ochako can understand him well

I just genuinely like their relationship, because they already look like a couple, to me.
I decided to go with Kacchako as a pairing, and since you said you wanted either fantasy au or mutual pining, I tried to incorporate both by drawing a fantasy wedding.
After lots of explanations and making up, they reach some kind of peace. Jack and Gabriel decide to cooperate and hunt those responsible for Overwatch’s fall their family collapse, but since “Reaper” is still playing bad dude with Talon, they can’t go on a mission or being seen together. So they just meet now and then in some local hideout/motel for updates. Then a fast dinner, some rest and sex too, sure, but certain nights they just hold each other like this. There is always a moment when they fall into a long silence, and when this happens, Jack whispers “I’m sorry”. Gabriel doesn’t answer for a while, but then he takes a deep breath and holds him closer.
I finally drew something based on one of my dearest headcanons about the sad dads and I hope you like it, but for some weird reason it took me 6 months to decide to post it.

This ask made me W E A K and I thought about it all day ; – ; I have quite a bit of marriage headcanons for them, tbh, both if they were married and went along with the in-game lore, and AU Domestic/Fluffy headcanons. These got a bit long so if you want AU marriage headcanons, feel free to send me an ask for those!
Normal ‘verse Marriage Headcanons
Married only in spirit: no dresses, no ceremony, no guests, no honeymoon…nothing. They are, however, deeply in love.
They still acquire rings for one another because they like that tradition. Sombra gives McCree a simple golden band with rope details around the outer edges. McCree gives her a white gold ring with a small, square-cut amethyst in the middle between two tiny diamonds. It’s beautiful and elegant without being flashy and Sombra treasures it dearly. There’s an engraving on the inside that reads “One day at a time, Forever”
She grows to love her ring even more than before when she finds the engraving for the first time. The words matter quite a bit to her, as McCree and Sombra cannot stay together like most typical married couples. They’re often away from one another as they have their own agendas and things to do, not to mention, both are constantly on the run from the law. Staying together too long is risky and they’ve also come to enjoy their freedom too much to completely let that life go.
That doesn’t mean they don’t communicate! They have to be cautious about it but they’ll send each other messages when they’re apart. ❤️️ Sometimes it’s a picture and other times, it’ll be a long message of how they wish they were in one another’s arms and free to enjoy some peace.
Eventually the rings don’t end up on the traditional left ring finger spot. Instead, they attach chains to them to keep them close to their persons, with McCree’s snuggly wrapped underneath his serape and chest armor while Sombra’s is fixed underneath her jacket.
Neither of them know it, but when either of them are about to do something particularly dangerous, they’ll take the ring out and kiss it before safely tucking back in their clothes.
Reunions are a sight. ❤️️ If they happen to be meeting somewhere alone and open, Sombra will be cloaked and run toward him. McCree can already hear her light footsteps and he opens his arms for her, laughing as she crashes into him in a tight hug and bombards him with kisses all over his face.
They can also be very tender ❤️️ If they’re under some scruinity and meet up somewhere secretly, their meetings are quiet but never any less passionate. They’ll quickly hold each other and stay like that for hours – never wanting to let the other go.
TAKING CARE OF EACH OTHER IS SO IMPORTANT FOR THESE TWO 👏👏👏Shoulder rubs, prosthesis tune ups and check ups, McCree helping Sombra maintain her cybernetics. Sombra will run a bath for McCree and scrub his back, McCree will wash her hair and brush it out for her. It’s those simple touches that mean the most ❤️️

The two of you probably meet in a park or anywhere else where you can see cats, or at some of his weird sleeping spots in the quiet parts of the city. You don’t really talk at first, just both cuddling the cats and starting to smile at each other occasionally. Maybe it was pure coincidence or planned, but you walk into each other a few times more in the park or at cat cafés when he realizes your presence doesn’t really bother him. You’ll have some smalltalk and brings you home once, giving you his pjone number for planned “meetings”.
It took the two of you for f*cking ever to become a couple, since he didn’t even realize he was in love and you just were too shy to confess. He’ll notice after seeing you with a good friend of yours and catches himself getting angry at the thougt of you being with someone else. Will very weirdly confess to you while trying to stay rational and calm, but is a mess inside. You took all of your confidence and just kissed him to end this misery.
– He doesn’t really care that you’re quirkless, since he’s not a superficial person at all – it’s the inside that counts to him. But his heroic personality comes through pretty often when it comes to you and he gets way too overprotective. Checks on you 24/7 and when you’re together he tries to help you even with small tasks you could do yourself. Doesn’t really notice himself, he just feels the urge to help you when he sees you struggling with something.
– When you make a mistake he’s pretty stoic and rarely gets mad but he’ll want to end anyone who wronged you or tries to exploit your kind attitude.
– He loves how affectionate you can get. Usually he doesn’t really care what the public thinks of him, but you really boost his confidence, which is shattered through the latest events pretty hard. It really cheers him up when you call him the “coolest hero” or say that he’s very handsome, even when he knows he looks like a total hobo.
– Secretly adores you, especially when you’re blushing or get all flustered and start stuttering. Likes to tease you to make you nervous – your reactions are just too cute for him to handle.
– Likes that you’re quiet for obvious reasons. Your presence is just the best variety to his usual stressfull, hasty and loud way of living.
– Being with you is the only way this man will finally calm down. He feels really comfortable since he doesn’t need to act against his nature. You’d never force him to talk much or put on a fake smile just so you’d be happy. He’s able to enjoy some peace and silence.
– Shows his affection with small, physical gestures instead of talking. Like petting your head or softly kissing you when you get nervous. May also leave some notes or gifts for you, but only rarely so it stays special.
– Will talk to you about how he feels – and that’s usually really not like him. But since he trusts you so much and can just be himself when he’s with you, he feels the need to talk about his emotions sometimes – just laying on your lap, talking without an end about his problems or just his feelings for you. It’s really good to get this off his chest sometimes, especially since you don’t feel the need to comment on everything, often just nod and smile at him gently.

Your first meeting will be at a music shop or a nice café where he tries to get through unknown (with a very sloppy disguise, by the way). Actually you just wanted to ask him if he knows where a certain CD was, but you recognized him. Since you stayed quiet about it, he thanked you and the two of you got into conversation with each other, him complimenting your taste in music and even buying you the CD you searched for as a thanks. Both of you feel how much you have in common and he’ll confidently says that he wants to meet you again, because you’re “pretty cool”. Slips his number in the CD case – not because he’s shy, just for the effect.
He knows a soulmate when he sees one, and he’s never been so sure to have found the right one. You’ll get together pretty quickly since he doesn’t want to mess around with his chances. Knowing what he wants he just casually tells you his feelings on some of your dates, asking if you feel the same way and if you want to be his partner. When you say yes (after a while of overchallenged silence), he takes you into his arms and lifted you up while saying how glad he is.
– Will playfully tease you for being quirkless sometimes, but feels bad after it even though you’re cool with it. To him it’s no problem at all, since he can play the role of your hero even more. And when you’re together he even forgets that you’re quirkless sometimes. Who even cares anyway if the person is nice, right?
– Don’t worry about being too silent – this man talks enough for two people. He loves that you listen to whatever he has to say, since most people easily get annoyed at him. You also laugh about every joke he makes, even when it’s the baddest you’ve ever heared. It really increases his self-consciousness. What should i say – opposites attract!
– Gladly sings for you or plays some instruments, even teaching you if you want. You’ll listen to everything he composed himself – and he even made some love songs about you which actually became hits!
– Isn’t quite someone who can stant silence for too long, so you’ll have to get used to him whistling or humming when you walk together and don’t feel like talking. He’s not mad if you don’t talk, tho.
– He’ll be the one to introduce you to his friends, wanting to help you since you’re so shy. And he’ll do it in a very extravagant style, overdoing his description of you completely. But in his head, this is just how awesome you are!
– It’s his pleasure to carry you bridal style or just throw you over his shoulder, saying “You’re mine!”Also enjoys tickling you when you seem depressed and don’t want to spit out why. Is really good at comforting you.
– When you had an argument and don’t answer your phone because you need your time he’ll start crying and telling you how sorry he is over the radio channel – he knows you listen to it the whole time when you’re home. Isn’t embarassed in the slightest, even though the whole city listened. Needs a sign of life by you to stop because otherwise he’s standing on your doorstep, worried something happened to you.
– When it comes to you, he can also be very serious: He’ll make plans for the future with you or tells you about darker chapters of his life. You don’t judge and are very understanding, only strenghtening his will to spend his life with you!

At first, he’ll be the one to save you when a villain rampages in your part of the town – and falls in love with you immediately. But he thinks it’s unprofessional to ask a civillain out, so he just lets it be. You also don’t say a word – because who the hell would ask the most popular hero out after being saved?! But fate wanted you to meet again by accident, this time in his true form. You bump into him after he tripoed and dropped all his groceries, so you helped him collect them – your hands touched each other when you wanted to pick up an apple, and the moment your eyes met, you just knew you’ve seen this man before. He gives you his number to repay you some time, and it ended up in you meeting regularly.
It has been a real pain for everyone to watch the two of you before you actually started dating. Both of you were just so shy and got nervous at every compliment the other gave you – okay it was really sweet actually. But it took both of you a whole while to finally get the courage to ask for a real date. The funny thing is, both of you didn’t dare to ask for it eye to eye, so you sent it via texts – both at exactly the same time. When both of you recieved the message of the other, you just couldn’t do but laugh about it. You still love to tell this story when people ask how you’ve met.
– Obviously, he understands what it’s like to be quirkless, but he’s amazed by how easily you take it. You still help many people as best as you can with your kind attitude and good suggestions. Somehow you always manage to make even the saddest people smile and look into a brighter future – and to him, that’s what being a true hero is about! You can be a real inspiration to him some days!
– It didn’t take him long until he told you the big secret about his real identity – you just have this trustful aura around you. And you weren’t really surprised, you kinda knew from the beginning. You just wanted to wait until he was ready to tell it to you himself.
– He’s pretty happy you’re not jealous of all his fangirls, since he doesn’t care for them at all and always tries to get away from them. Officially announced that All Might is taken but they still bother him. Goes crazy about how wonderful you are when he’s on talkshows and loves to show you to the world.
– You don’t need many words to make him feel god on his rare moments of him doubting himself. He always feels appreciated and worth a lot, even when he can’t work as a hero anymore. Actually, you need to remind him pretty often of how amazing he is. You’d think he should know himself, but your opinion is very important to him. Sometimes comes home with the words “I wronged you” instead of “I did something bad” even when it has nothing to do with you.
– But don’t you dare doubting yourself! Especially just because you’re shy. He will always support you, for example before a job-interview. Holds long speeches about courage and how you are a good influence for everyone around you.
– When you’re with him, he feels like he can accomplish anything. It’s not really like his (at least non-hero-form) to be this cheerfull, but he just can’t help it – you got such positive vibes that make people feel good! He has no time to think about his death or anything else – that’s out of question as long as he has you to return to!
– Even after he can’t use his hero form anymore, he’ll always try to protect you. No matter what, he’ll do whatever he can, even if it’s just to listen to you after a stressfull day or being there for you if something happened.
– Is a real gentlemen. Will do small things like covering a puddle with his jacket or tries to hold a heavy door open for you even though his body is fragile, too.
– How you can adapt to his way of life makes him feel pretty glad. You’re never mad when his body breaks down, rather caring for him when he’s sick. You also always got handkerchiefs in case he bleeds out of his mouth, pain-meds and so on…you know he doesn’t care much about himself so you just take over that part!
