After lots of explanations and making up, they reach some kind of peace. Jack and Gabriel decide to cooperate and hunt those responsible for Overwatch’s fall their family collapse, but since “Reaper” is still playing bad dude with Talon, they can’t go on a mission or being seen together. So they just meet now and then in some local hideout/motel for updates. Then a fast dinner, some rest and sex too, sure, but certain nights they just hold each other like this.
There is always a moment when they fall into a long silence, and when this happens, Jack whispers “I’m sorry”. Gabriel doesn’t answer for a while, but then he takes a deep breath and holds him closer.

I finally drew something based on one of my dearest headcanons about the sad dads and I hope you like it, but for some weird reason it took me 6 months to decide to post it.
