Think of it this way. 83% of computers (laptop and desktop) use Windows. 13% use Mac. The vast majority of software is developed for windows, with another significant fraction developed for or adapted to mac, because that’s what most people use and it’s all most people understand.
Now imaging you’re one of the 1.4% of computers are running Linux. This doesn’t mean you’ve got a windows machine with a virus, it doesn’t mean your computer is broken, it doesn’t mean it needs to get replaced with a more common operating system. It’s not quite as good at some things most people take for granted, but it’s significantly better at a bunch of other things. But if you have a problem with your computer, the vast majority of people won’t have any idea what you’re talking about. They’ll give advice for how to deal with a similar issue on their own computer, and it will be worthless. The only people with any idea what you’re going through are going to be on linux forums. And you can mostly muddle through all the things everybody else can do with improvisation and lots of WINE, but it sure would be nice if the devs of that video game you were looking forward to would like, acknowledge the existence of your demographic.
Now imagine that on top of all that, the primary linux support system had been taken over by a bunch of assholes who’ve never so much as looked at a command prompt in their lives. but who have declared themselves the Voice of Linux Users and keep spending millions of dollars on campaigns “educating” everybody about how using linux makes you a fundamentally bad and stupid person so your laptop needs to be burned immediately to force you to get a correct computer.

There is no actual, tangible reason why we allow people to starve, to be homeless, to suffer and die needlessly. Food is plentiful. Empty homes are plentiful. Medicine is plentiful. It’s hidden away behind constructs and we pretend those constructs mean something. There is an empty home and a homeless family, give them it. There is a sick child and common medicine to treat it, give it to them. There is a starving person and so much food wasted by corporations or hidden behind a dollar sign, feed them.
this wasn’t a problem at first —-until those who were given abuse it and start to live off without working too hard and continue on asking and playing the victim card. If things were always given to them, they will continue to expect that things WILL be given to them and that’s were it all goes down. I’d rather give them jobs so they can save for their own house and buy their own food. That way, they’ll realize the real value of things.

people starving cannot be productive members of society. people who are sick cannot be productive members of society. people who cannot sleep in a properly place or shower or rest cannot be productive members of society. these people realize these things have value, because they are dying without them. letting people suffer and live dollar to fucking dollar barely avoiding death, even if you cannot spare an OUNCE of empathy because ‘booooo some of them might be LAZY’, is actually bad for you. its bad for the economy, because these people dont buy much of anything. almost all of it goes into debt acquired from medical expenses, debt from trying to buy food on credit, and debt from not being able to pay rent on time.
“people just wont work” people dont like being bored or unproductive. people will simple do work you dont find of value. they will take up painting, or sewing, or cooking at home, or making video games for free, or write novels if they genuinely choose not to work. and these are things that are enjoyable and productive. if someone is genuinely sitting at home barely surviving and doing nothing productive its probably a sign they are ill (severe depression, sickness, trauma) and they need help not someone telling them they should shut up get outside and work or starve the fuck to death.
i dont care if people are ‘lazy’ under this system (even though they ARENT) you are a fundamentally immoral person if you think it is right in any capacity to sit back and watch another person suffer and die because you think it will ‘teach them a lesson’.

Grandma and Mr. Yukino come from Japan while Mrs. Yukino is American.
So we have a last name for Vivi now, Vivi Yukino. (And for the record, the reason I haven’t said anything about it until now is that I have been *WILDLY* indecisive about it.)
Heya everyone, we are still plugging away on the Hellbent video.
While we’ve made some good progress this month, we unfortunately won’t
be able to finish it for October. We don’t have a set date in mind at
the moment, but we like to think we can get it out this year.
A
majority of the raw animation is completed by now. We are about halfway
through background art. Afterward will be effects, fixes, and final
compositing.
We apologize for not being able to make it in
time of our preferred release date, but we want to make sure the video
is as polished as we can make it. We will keep everyone posted when we
have a release date set in stone.
Beyond that, we do have some extra things in the works.
This
here is a schematic for an official Mystery plush. We’ve gotten a
prototype made and are continuing to make adjustments. We aren’t quite
sure how we’re going to fund the production, but we’ll let everyone know
when we have things more solidified.
Again, we apologize we
weren’t able to get stuff out to ya’ll faster, but thank you for
sticking with us and we hope to have content for everyone before too
long.
Just wanted to take some time off from questions and do a little something that had been sitting in my head for a bit. Vivi just lovin on her boys XD
I started sketching this a day ago and was torn between depicting them as they previously were or after Lewis’ death. I was rather fond of Heilos’ depiction of Lewis’ in his human form, unable to change his eyes. I’d also like to thing his hair would maintain its fire like qualities and would spark if he was jolted around.
Again, its good to mention that this is fun speculation and not actual concept art but hopefully you guys enjoy it anyway : D
Hello everyone! I hope everyone had a fantastic Valentine’s! I went out of town that weekend and had to hit the ground running with homework and work stuffs, so I’ve been pretty busy. I finally managed to tackle another commission however! And its of Lewis! Wooooo! I’d never rendered fire before so I hope it turned out looking okay :T
Because of having to catch up on freelance workins after BABScon I’ve had little to no time to work on anything personal. Sowwy =.=
I’ve had these sketches for quite some time tho and have always really enjoyed the poses, so I thought they’d be fun to post in the meantime.
They were meant to be panels of a comic response to a post I saw quite some time ago, where Vivi finally recognizes Lewis and is just like “Woah dude! You’re not dead! Radical!” which I thought was kinda odd.
I’d interpret her reaction to be an overwhelming conglomeration of sadness and joy, especially if its assumed she’s been in denial all this time. All of her memories would come flooding back and she’d be forced to realize she’d actually lost him.
But yeah, hopefully I’ll have something more pretty for you guys soon :T

We’ve just now got Arthur’s new refinements in place and we can now show it off. Once again artsyfeathersartsyblog was on hand to spruce up the design with chloepoisonhearts on construction of the puppet itself.
Unlike Lewis’s new puppet though we currently do not have the back views of them, so no spiny .gif for him quite yet.

The adjustments in place for this are much like that of Lewis’s, with mostly overall refinements to the character’s features and changing the structure to support more comprehensive puppet rigging. Though I’m sure ya’ll have picked up on the more obvious tweaks before I mention what they are.
MAIN UPDATES-
Robot Arm Upgrade-
Arthur’s arm has been changed by a fair amount (though I made sure not to go too crazy with it).
Arthur’s old robot arm was more or less just his fleshy arm painted grey and with some lines thrown on it. While that served its purpose for Ghost, I figured that needed some adjustment as we went back to refine the designs some. My main goal was to make the silhouette noticeably different from the normal arm just so it stands out as being more mechanical from the get-go.
Arthur’s Head-
It didn’t really show up in Ghost too well, but MAN I don’t even know what I was thinking with Arthur’s head in some of these views. He got this weird muzzle in the side views, which I guess I was trying to emulate the kind of bean shaped head of Shaggy from Scooby Doo I guess??
Anyway, it’s now much less… THAT.
Also +1 hair spike.
Vest Pins-
Due to popular demand, I’ve rolled back in the pins on Arthur’s vest that existed waaaaaaaaay back during Arthur’s original concept art.
Arthur’s has gained a bit of height in this new version, but I’ll save the direct comparisons for later.

I just wanted to thank you all for the wonderful support and beautiful artwork this week for the anniversary of Ghost! I can assure you all we are working hard and will keep you updated as regularly as we can until its ready to go.
I don’t have many walk cycles under my belt yet. They are a bit rough but I aim to improve! Even so, I still hope some of my fellow Night in the Woods fans find enjoyment in this one!
