Defining the word snuggle…

• Snuggle ˈsnʌɡ(ə)l/ | verb | settle or move into a warm, comfortable position.

• Connor is really new to snuggling, moreso than kissing or hugging, having to have you reassure him that he is in fact doing it correctly half the time.

• He does take some time getting used to it, but it pays off – a smile on his face as his LED blinks happily, being able to hold you close as you lean into his chest, your hands intertwined.

• He loves being able to be this close to you, sometimes finding himself leaning into your chest in order to hear your heartbeat, his LED mimicking it.

• There are many moments spent snuggling that make you lose track of time, both you and Connor being content on the sofa for hours, simply passing the time through small talk and whatnot.

     • “Where do you think Hank got the name ‘Sumo’ from for his dog? I don’t think he’s ever told anyone.”
     “I’m not certain, but the name Sumo is also the name of the Japanese form of Heavyweight Wrestling.” 

• Connor also sometimes does coin tricks whilst you’re snuggling, one hand on top of yours as the other has the coin move through his fingers flawlessly.

• He notices that you snuggle more on days that are quite stressful at the Detroit Police Precinct, some cases making you really tense, as your breath steadies and your blood pressure decreases whilst you’re in his arms.

    • He kisses your forehead in reassurance, making you smile as he coaxes you to sleep for a moment – your head moving to lean on his shoulder as you do.

• There are times you two unknowingly snuggle on Hank’s sofa in his apartment, as Sumo joins you also, as both you and Connor pat him before getting lectured by Hank himself for ‘being lovey dovey in my apartment of all places’.

    • “Take it somewhere else you two, I don’t care if my sofa’s more comfortable than yours- no you can’t take Sumo with you!”

• You’ve slept on top Connor too many times to count during your snuggling sessions (though you’re certain Connor probably has), finding yourself staring back at those loving brown eyes whenever you wake up.

• He never does wake you up from a nap or when you’re in deep sleep – placing a kiss on your lips as he’s reminded of how lucky he is to be with you.
