also! if any of you have ever been cheated on, just know that you deserve so much better. y’all are beautiful and amazing and everything that is right in this world, and if there is anyone who believes otherwise, they’re damn wrong. send them to me. I’ll fight.

Noctis:

• Noctis loved to watch you when you spoke about your S/O
• Your face lit up and a smile stuck to your face
• He loved it. He loved seeing you happy
• So when he finds you in pieces, sobbing over the person who meant so much to you, he can’t even comprehend it
• “Y/N? What’s going on? What happened?”
• You’re still crying
• He’s still confused
• Your words are slurring together and he hates himself for asking you to repeat yourself so many times
• But when he finally gets what you’re saying, everything in him goes cold
• His fists are balled at his sides
• He has to consciously refrain himself from summoning his weapon and seeking your ex out then and there because why would anyone do that
• And why would they do that to you, of all people?
• You’re amazing and kind and funny and everything you do has a kind of magic that Noctis has never even seen before
• And that piece of shit just trampled all over you
• He forces himself to cool off, training his eyes on you
• First, he would think, First, I need to fix this
• Slowly, he would come to your side, one hand resting on your shoulder, the other reaching for your shaking fingers
• “Y/N,” he’d say, pulling you in, begging your tears to disappear, “Come on. It’s okay.”
• “It’s going to be okay.”
• He hasn’t had much experience comforting people, but he remembers the way his mother used to hold him when his knees were scraped and the world was falling apart
• So he tries to do something like that
• He’s awkward, and his words stumble as he speaks to you
• But he’s trying his best to make you smile again
