Noctis:

– Well, as a guy whose eyes change color himself it’d be a little silly if it bothered him, yanno?

– Doesn’t really notice at first that it’s strange that they wear sunglasses indoors bc he wears sunglasses everywhere for the ~cool factor~.

– When he finds out about it Awkward Noct mode is activated. He’s not all that great at serious talks but the sincerity in his gaze makes them feel more comfortable, and it low-key makes him feel less strange about his own eye-changing situation.

– Gives them space and doesn’t prod at them in fear of making them uncomfortable. Lets them hide until they’re comfortable enough to show him on their own.

– HIGH-KEY going to fight anyone if they say anything negative about his s/o he will throw hands.

Ignis:

– Of course this guy notices pretty early on that something’s up. Doesn’t mention it for a while in fear of making them uncomfortable, though.

– Refuses to do anything that they aren’t ready for. Like the least pushy person of all time. So patient and kind and lovely that it doesn’t take them long to stop hiding it from him.

– Does everything in his power to make sure they know he loves them and thinks their eyes are nothing to be ashamed of.

– Will just stare deeply into their eyes for a long time bc the color they turn when his s/o feels loved is the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen.

– Low-key knows what every color means and uses it to know if they’re feeling upset. Has a little page in his notebook reserved for writing notes about it. Don’t judge him.

Prompto:

– You already know this boy isn’t very subtle. The first time he saw their eyes do the thing, he screamed at the top of his lungs in the middle of a convenient store. (it was date night and he wanted chips.)

– Just never shuts up about how it’s the coolest thing in the world, and that he’s kinda jealous. Jelly. Prom is Jellin.

-Will whisper really gently every time it happens like “ohhhh blue now very nice.” Or “pink! pink pink pink like cotton candy.”

-Will duck under their hair curtain to plant a smooch directly on their nose if they try to hide from him. Makes sure it won’t make them uncomfortable first, of course.

– So it was kind of difficult for them to be shy about it for too long.

Gladiolus:

– Ahhh good old Gladiolus messed up big time and still feels bad about it to this day. One of the first times he saw them wearing their sunglasses indoors he playfully took them off their face and almost lost his mind when they started freaking out. Apologised when they explained and acted like a wounded puppy for a long time afterward.

– Love Man Amicitia telling them 1000 times a day that they’re perfect the way they are and don’t need to hide from anyone.

-Ties their hair up with his hairbows so he can see their eyes. Forehead kisses to calm them down.

-Is All About boosting their confidence and helping them feel as comfortable in their skin as they can be and that includes their ever changing eye color. Constantly spouting praise. A good man who means well, even if it doesn’t seem like it at first.

– Like Noctis, he is always ready to kick someone’s ass for his S/O. Just point, and he’ll start swinging.
