honestly a good partner isn’t necessarily someone who loves the exact same things you love but rather someone who is willing to listen to you ramble on and on about a particular subject that you’re passionate about even if they have little to no interest in it
What she says: I’m fine
What she means: It’s been twenty one years since the Yu Yu Hakusho manga ended and twenty since the anime was finished. It’s been ten years since the dub aired. Where is my re-make? Does this anime not deserve the respect of being re-animated for the fandom’s viewing pleasure? Is there a petition I can sign? Why does Cars deserve a third movie but Yu Yu Hakusho continues to be ignored? Who cares about Salior Moon; I want to see Yuusuke with pants up to his neck in a current style. I want to see Hiei’s hair sticking up over the edge of panels in glowly, thin-lined animation. Where are my panels showing Kurama’s stomach wounds in a format other than jpeg? I want Kazuma’s cheek bones in high definition. How do I make this happen? How do I
Man full metal alchemist really uh really did everything attack on titan tried to do but ten times better like uhhhhh ten years earlier. I’m talking the uhh theme of a singular city constantly at war, an oppressive monarchy enforced by military police, daddy issues, dead mothers, powerful kids, the constant air of mystery surrounding the monstrous beings and the implications of a huge conspiracy. It goes without saying it helps that fma isn’t uhhhhhhh written by a hardline nationalist
More importantly: full metal alchemist is actually fun and enjoyable to watch and can have dramatic and emotional impact without resorting to
What I like most about Yu Yu Hakusho is that more than it may be a shonen, and the main character may be a snarky douchebag… but the show is about how that’s not a good thing. Since the powers he has are directly tied to his emotions he has to learn how to deal with his shit instead of repressing it.
He also is pretty weak until like 3/4′s of the way through the show all things considered, which forces him to win fights by outsmarting vastly superior opponent’s (or in the case of Rando, getting lucky). And even once he gets strong, he is forced to face weaker opponent’s who have better strategies than him, turning the tables on him.
Also it has Kuwabara, I mean look at this guy:
So yeah, it’s kind of like a random anime from the 90′s but it’s pretty cool. In a way it almost feels like a precursor to Hunter X Hunter. Give it a watch if you’re curious.
Can you imagine how much better Yu Yu Hakusho would be if Yoshohiro Togashi was allowed to take hiatus at the time of making it? Wait, wait hear me out. Yu Yu Hakusho is hands down my favorite anime of all time. The manga and anime are solid classics. The characters are lovable and unique especially for the time. Even the few flaws with the series are in retrospect minute. However it is legendary throughout the anime and manga community how Mangaka are treated, not given enough sleep and forced to nearly slave labor. Togashi worked so hard on his creation of Yu Yu Hakusho that he was constantly ill. Now, if you will, imagine the quality of the later seasons of the series if Togashi was allowed a break, a little bit of time to step away from his project like all of us need to renew his love for it. We’d get so many interesting story lines! More on Mukuro who is a badass female character, a possible animated adaptation of his original idea of a war between Human, Demon, and Spirit worlds cuz we all wanna see that, and so much more! It could even still be running to this day alongside Hunter x Hunter! Food for thought my fellow YYH fans!
The resident concerningly all-knowing AI can’t even get around to reporting the return of a team before the returning spirit-dragon, happy to be back with their person and adopted persons all intact, has scampered off to update it’s brethren on all that happened. In other words, computers might be fast, but dragon gossip is faster.
Pretty much I just wanted to draw happy little noodles chattering and interrupting whatever’s going on around them. Might update this with a slightly less cheerful inverse version later (or light forbid actually shade something and draw a background).
Edit and reblog because I did actually end up drawing a less cheerful accompaniment to this [here]. Now I swear I’ll go be serious about a drawing.
Here’s the coloration to my last posted outlines, you can find them here [x]. I hope you like it! Took quite a while but I’m kinda satisfied with the Outcome… and all the sparkle (Sparkle Sparkle Little Hanzo… coughs)
A wip thats been sitting around for a week or so while I was working on for my fic. I’ve updated it, and also Have it completely outlined, drew an altered map of Eos to fit the story as well, and I’m kind of proud of myself for being so productive.
I have a place in my heart for games that are objectively kind of a mess, (Hi, other four people on the planet who remember Haze!), so today, on its first anniversary, I want to talk about FFXV.
This is a game where:
the plot got rewritten and retooled so many times that a bunch of the crucial plot exposition ended up not in it
to have any idea what’s going on you need to watch the tie-in anime prequel and the tie-in movie where there’s like 17 subplots and the timeline makes no sense and for some reason Aaron Paul is here
a sub-boss shows up who is a general of the evil empire and clearly a recurring villain with a full background and personality, then he gets blown up in a robot and is never seen again, until the side quest half the game later where he’s just a couple voice tracks and then gets blown up in a robot, and then the bonus DLC where he’s onscreen for a good solid couple minutes and then gets blown up in a robot
no seriously there’s a big reveal of a guy’s identity in Kingsglaive where the shock didn’t land for me because I deadass could not remember who he was
in the base game before the DLC, it is left not entirely clear whether one of your buddies is a magic robot or just an undocumented immigrant
a minor character is just straight up Hillary Clinton
whether you understand crucial pieces of what’s going on depends on how much attention you pay to magazines lying around on benches and train seats
seriously I couldn’t focus through Kingsglaive because this magic knight dude was Jesse Pinkman
the bad guy is the only one doing anything to make this plot work
including the bit where he does a timestopping kidnap train heist to make you go to a place you were going anyway
there were so many holes that they ended up patching in more plot, which is practically unheard of, and in the process the localizers took the chance to throw in a Kellyanne Conway joke
they also had to buff up the weapon you have in that part, because it kept using up your whole mana bar without actually draining the robot’s life enough to kill them, so I kept getting chased around by gangly robots that’d had their souls half sucked out until they were skeletal stick things, which coincidentally is what appears to have happened to Kellyanne Conway
also during all that the bad guy is just chilling and Stanley Parable’ing at you
they had a whole trailer they wanted to do something with so they just stuck it in as a dream sequence
one character has a deep, tragic backstory, conflicted motivations, connections to things all over the plot, and an extremely dramatic and meticulous character design. He is onscreen for like two minutes and then dies
Well, something strange about Peregrïn, which makes her a poor example of a Kaldorei, is that she cares more about Lordaeron.
Still. Yes, she will feel very sad if Teldrassil is destroyed, and she will be worried about her kin. I don’t know yet if she’ll be able to help… (worry not, clumsy Peregrïn is on her way) What will happen ? Will people she knows die ?? What will she do if her family doesn’t make it ? Family she most likely left behind 40 years in the past and thought she had centuries to catch up with ?
But on the other hand… not gonna lie, she has been wishing to take back Lordaeron for very, very long. It’s way more “her home”. Surely a war and its casualties was not something she wished for though. A war between the Alliance and the Horde is not something she wants. And as bitter as she is everytime she walks through the places she used to call home (meaning Lordaeron and surroundings) she knows people now live here and throwing them out would be cruel as well. She regrets old times, but she’s not ready to kill just to get it back.
Ack ! I lack informations to know exactly where she will be and if she will have those good reasons to jump into battle. I mean, our King Anduin is peaceful and fair and doesn’t like conflict yet he’s on the frontline, so… why not Peregrïn as well ;;… I don’t know, I’ll wait and see. (Maybe she and Khadgar will just find a little house in the mountains because they disagree with a Horde vs Alliance war xD)
We can still make peace guys, all we need is beer (and a bear in a hat).
*nods* You’re right ^^ ! Though her face matures a bit (by the time of BC, or at least to WoD) she’s not getting old as fast as a human, and her face stays kinda… chubby and round, which doesn’t help xD There’s also many pictures of them where Khadgar looks “old” but is actually 18-22 years old. I remember looking at this V and thinking it’s ironic that he’s 19 years old and she’s probably a hundred something xD
That said, it’s a bit because of my style too hehe >v<
Ow ! That would be heartbreaking ! But still a “peaceful” end. Probably the one he hopes for, but not her. She can’t even begin to imagine it, actually. If their story was a movie I could see this kind of ending. And the image I see in my mind by reading your words is sad but somehow beautiful. Thank you so much for this message ❤ Sad or happy ideas/headcanons, I love to read all of them~ !
When Peregrïn finds it hard to sleep, hearing his voice helps. It makes her feel at peace, home. I like the idea of Khadgar being too tired to think so he starts reciting some part of a book.
Perry is a bit ticklish if you know the right spots (which I guess Khadgar does) but she’s more agile and flexible and she’s a cat, she’d slip through his fingers if she wants to, he’d definitely need to cheat to win that kind of battle… but cheat how ? xD As a very ticklish person I sometimes tickle my friends when they are very sleepy and then run away like “no no wasn’t me, don’t tickle back”. I’d recommend that.
He is different in some ways (both in his story and his attitude) but still adorable.
Physically (aestetically ?), he’s close to perfect. It fits my vision of him. Ben Schnetzer is a perfect young Khadgar. Give him blue eyes and that white streak of hair and it’ll be just him (I’m kinda disappointed they didn’t do it, actually). At least as I see him when I read “The Last Guardian”. He has that “dark untidy head of hair” and also those “fragments of a beard, newly grown” (it looks like it haha) Many people ask me if I draw “movie!Khadgar” because, yeah, I can’t deny, when I draw him as a teenager, that’s more or less how I see him. It’s not though, it’s the books, always o3o
I think he is cute and funny and so smart, he loves books and always does his best and he’s a good artist too, he’s incredibly talented but can be awkward and jumpy… those are all traits I see in Khadgar. Sadly the movie version lacks a lot of important traits of his personality. (But the movie is short, shorter than Duncan Jones wanted it to be, so it’s understandable we don’t see all…?)
As for his story, well… it’s different. I feel more involved in the book one, but I have nothing against the movie version (I even actually wrote a few things about a “movie version of Khadgrin”, just for fun, to see how their story would be in this other reality/timeline/whatever.)
