I’ve been sitting on this ask for a while and I decided I might as well give it some thought now, when I’m not in the best condition to doodle and have some time on my hands!
Here we go.
So let’s talk about what the boys are doing outside of Eos (because I highly doubt Eos is going to be a world).
The boys’ mission is simple: find Royal Arms so that Noctis can gain the power to reclaim his throne.
Sora and the gang can run into the boys at a hub world, like Radiant Garden or Twilight Town
Or the chocobros can be traveling all over, either finding multiple weapons in multiple Disney worlds, or searching all over the place for just one.
Thinking about them sneaking around trying to protect the world order is just as much fun as imagining them just rushing in and meddling in everything
Okay like imagine this: Sora meets the chocobabs in Hollow Bastion… then finds them skulking around while he’s in various Disney worlds.
Sora finds the chocobros stowing away on the Ulysses when he’s in the Atlantis world THAT I AM DESPERATELY HOPING IS IN KH3. He sneaks them food from the mess hall because… whatever. They got their angle, we got ours?
(Does Ignis blow the boys’ cover because Cookie’s cooking Does Things to his culinary sensibilities? HMMMM.)
Prompto darting out of his hiding place in the toy store in the Toy Story world to punt tiny Heartless away from Sora and the others. Then ducking back into the storeroom to help search for Royal Arms-related clues
Noctis joining Sora on his journey up to Olympus because maybe the gods will be able to point him in the right direction? I mean, he’s got experience dealing with gods? Maybe this will work?
But what if the Chocobros are Gullwing-sized?
Unlike the Gullwings in KH2, the chocoboys are Very Much Aware that this is Not Normal
Maybe a curse? Can Sora do anything to help them break it???
The law of conservation could be very fun here…
Gladio, don’t sit on Sora’s shoulder, you will literally crush him beneath your weight.
Noctis sending Heartless FLYING because he is still just as powerful when he’s this size
The chocobros could be super helpful in a hub world
Ignis is helpful in the synthesis shop– he can create items with fewer ingredients or upgrade existing items
Gladio could be the physical equivalent of Merlin in KH1– combat training!
Noctis will be a floating rumor mill since he’s made his rounds around the town to learn as much as he can about the Royal Arms. And I don’t want to reduce this kid to a fishing mini-game prompt buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut
Prompto’s able to help with recon because of his size– floating over Heartless swarms or enemy bases and snapping photos to capture their movements
What would happen if he got caught in the act? Hmm!!! :O
Very Important Things
Sora and Prompto are such good friends. SUCH GOOD FRIENDS. SELFIES!!!!
Donald and Ignis actually get along pretty well through their common ability to Sass Their Friends
Noctis and Goofy are united in their love of naps…
Gladio and Leon DO NOT GET ALONG VERY WELL UH-OH (Assuming Radiant Garden is the hub world)
