Notes: I’m not that great at writing specifically a male reader without going to the NSFW parts so I wrote gender-neutral reader instead. I’m terribly sorry if this isn’t whatever you wished for. *bows and disappears into the void*
“We leave at dawn,” Cor’s words shook your very core — and you felt empty. The tired marshall ended the briefing session. So much had happened in only a couple of days; Insomnia had fallen, a handful of the old Crownsguard remained and the prince… well, he did whatever he could do.
Tired from all the fighting, you and the rest of the guard prepared to get some sleep when there was still some hours left before the dawn. Traveling across the Lucis had certainly taken its toll; many of you were injured from constant battling against the sprawling daemons.
Even you had earned a new scar or two and now you did your best to ignore the pain, even if the old injuries made you wince.
