Noctis Lucis Caelum – The Drug Lord

Noctis is not a very public figure when it comes to his affairs. You know, between the drug rings or just normal presence in the world. He prefers to remain hidden – for the fewer people that know him is the better. He’ll never be one to show off or flaunt his wealth or status in the world. Why try to use money to impress someone when he had his own set of charming traits that could? At least, he hoped he did.

So when he walked into the diner you worked at, dazed to all hell and a bit jittery from what you assumed was a high, you easily mistook him for nothing more than someone super strung-out after partying hard. Considering the usual lot that you had to deal with these late nights, he wasn’t really that different, you thought. The only difference was that he had a suit that made it very clear that he didn’t want vegetables. He was more lucid than most of the other addicts that you’ve seen wandering in. He just sort of asked for his food, then stare off in thought as he taps his fingers over his phone to ignore the messages. Not a talker.

You didn’t really want to get involved with him that much, considering the last time you talked to someone who was strung out, they got a bit too handsy, but he seemed nice. Said please and thank you, so that’s a plus. He asked a few questions about how your night was, small talk that turned into bigger questions of existentialism that you didn’t know how to answer. But perhaps it was better that you didn’t have an answer. The conversation was still nice nevertheless. And when he left, you were shocked to see the hundred dollar tip left on the counter. Wait… Was he serious?

You chased after him to give it back, holding it out and saying that you could break the hundred for him. But no. He simply shook his head and handed it back to you. “You can keep it, if you’ll let me come back and get more pancakes from you.”

You were more taken aback by the fact that he wanted to see you again than the fact that you had a hundred dollar bill crumpled in your palm. But you finally agreed, the drug addict prince smiling at you before he made his way from the diner. You watched him go, eyes narrowing suspiciously as you saw him enter into a black car surrounded by men in suits. A black car… That seemed suspicious.

But perhaps it was just your imagination…
