A KH3 Guardians of Light Theory

The main party’s assumption for the members of the Guardians of Light are Sora, Riku, Mickey, Aqua, Terra, Ventus, and Kairi.

But assuming Aqua really has been Norted and is now the 13th Seeker of Darkness, it’s a good bet she revealed the location of Ventus’ body. In doing so perhaps Xehanort was able to bring back Vanitas and he’s the one piloting Ven now and that’s how he met Sora in the Monster’s Inc world.

So this leaves 2 spots open for hire. 3 if you count Terra’s difficulty in overcoming Master Xehanort. And 4 if you, like me, believe Disney will not let Mickey take part in battling 13 humans that will likely end in death to either side.

This last part is important too, because it’s been theorized by others such as HMK that because Mickey’s not an original character, they will replace him with someone who is. And as we’ve seen in the trailers, the person Sora’s searching for now is Roxas. Maybe the reason he needs him back isn’t just personal but also crucial for the Light’s side if they are missing a member. (or a few)

With the way things are looking now, and taking into account the most important Kingdom Hearts original characters, I believe the final lineup of the 7 Guardians will be Sora, Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Xion, Lea, and Namine.
