birdsandivory:

  • Holding the hands of those he’s healed.
  • Taking the blame for his brother when the other got into trouble.
  • Telling stories of old because they have been forgotten over time and he cannot bear to let them die.
  • Keeping a garment of clothing from every person that has changed him over the centuries until he lost the notion of what it was like to be moved.
  • Waking from a dreamless slumber.
  • Touching gingerly a flower petal between his thumb and index.
  • Putting himself through misery because he is unable to remember what sorrow feels like.
  • Wearing layers of clothing, but still feeling a chill.
  • Stepping before a familiar place and mourning what it used to look like.
  • Listening to whistling winds between the trees.
  • Enjoying modern indulgences, like popsicles and frappuccinos.
  • Holding his breath when he walks into quiet places.
  • Observing each and every detail regarding a person’s mannerisms.
  • Reading the same book over and over.
  • Solving crossword puzzles.
  • Always being surprised when a holiday comes around that he can’t believe exists.
  • Showing up out of nowhere just to spook Ravus.
  • Sitting down and rubbing his face when he feels tired.
  • Having no concept of time and always missing the show he likes on television.
  • Knowing there is still so much to learn.
