How did Hanzo react to Genji in the okami Au, was he mad, remorseful?, or somewhere in between, and hiw did he treat him after the initial reaction?

polarspaz:

The meeting was…awkward.

Hanzo has repressed his emotions immensely, pushing away his doubts and fears to the back of his mind in order to survive. So when he’s faced with his greatest regret he just doesn’t know how to react.

Genji of course is enthusiastic, but that enthusiasm is quickly turned to concern when he sees how much his brother has changed. Gone is the regal, preened Hanzo, and standing in his place is a savage wolf.

The spirit wolves don’t help the situation either, as they see all humans as pitiful and weak. If you can’t tell the wolves are heavily inspired by Princess Mononoke. They aren’t cute and chatty, but cruel and cynical. They would have ripped apart the Overwatch crew if Hanzo hadn’t reigned them in

Theres also the fact that Hanzo deep down thinks he doesn’t deserve to be fully human anymore. After all, only a beast would cut down their brother without hesitation.
