Can I request Mcree, Hanzo, 76 and Reinhardt reacting to their s/o having the hiccus but they hate getting them so much it makes them very upset. My hiccups fits can bring me to tears because they hit me hard for some reason and people poking fun at me over them makes it that much worse.

alexiela73:

I’m sorry, honey. I can relate- when I get hiccups, they’re TERRIBLE. No one can hear them but you can see my body jump with each hiccup and it kind of hurts but everyone thinks its funny and like a joke, but its not.

This turned into them reacting and curing the hiccups in their own special ways.

McCree:

  • When you get your first hiccup fit, Jesse is admittedly amused
  • He sees you groan and look distressed
  • But at first he thinks your being a touch melodramatic
  • How bad can hiccups be?
  • Except your hiccups are coming swift and unrelenting
  • Jesse notices the look on your face of pure misery as you struggle to down a cup of water
  • One hiccup is so vicious your body does a little jump and the water splashes out of the cup and into your lap
  • When he sees the tears in your eyes, Jesse’s smile is really wiped away
  • Whether or not he found the hiccups cute, they were upsetting you
  • And in the end, Jesse cared more that you were happy
  • Gently Jesse took you into his arms, trying to soothe you
  • When the hiccups didn’t fade after five minutes, Jesse frowned
  • “I’m gonna go ask Ana for a cure,” he says, before turning…
  • And running right smack into the door frame, bouncing back a little and letting out a growl
  • Despite your misery, you’d seen him crash into the door…and it was funny
  • Like even his poor face had hit it
  • And that caused you to giggle. When he gave you a scathing look, the little control you had left and it turned into a full laugh
  • Jesse was surprised, crossing his arms and waiting patiently, at least glad he’d amused you, even at his own expense
  • When you were almost calm, it took both of you a moment to realize the hiccups were gone.
  • “….I’m not running into a doorframe every time you get the hiccups,” Jesse said, trying to sound threatening but you were just so utterly grateful the hiccups were gone
  • But you knew that in an instant, just to save you from tears, he’d run into that damn door frame a thousand times

Hanzo:

  • The hiccups came rather unexpectedly, but they always did
  • Unlike Jesse, Hanzo automatically took whatever upset you seriously
  • Even though you tried not to make a big deal of it the first time, you had looked at him expectantly
  • When Hanzo had just rubbed your back, you had thanked him for not making fun of you or your hiccups
  • Frowning, Hanzo had almost been offended, until he realized you’d been made fun of before for such a small thing
  • The thought angered him, but as usual he kept his emotions under a tight leash
  • Instead Hanzo brushed the hair from your face, watching as you stared down in humiliation, the hiccups making your body jump slightly
  • The noodles were on either side of you, one of them sniffing your leg worriedly, the other sitting on its hind legs and making a soft chirping noise, staring up at you with wide eyes of concern
  • The noodles were not used to hiccups
  • Seeing you distressed like this wouldn’t do. But he couldn’t think of anything to distract you, something to make you smile…until….
  • “Come,” Hanzo instructed, taking your hand and leading you outside.
  • The dragons followed, staring up at you both…and they both let out a roar that shook the earth as Hanzo glanced back at them, his eyes glowing an unearthly gold
  • Gasping, you turned as the dragons bound ahead into the openness of the yard…and grew. Changing. They each became easily the size of a three story building, and the almost sweetness in their face turned elegant and fierce
  • You stared in awe, never having seen them in their full forms, even as one slowly lowered its head to you. Its head alone was the size of your small car.
  • “H-Hi baby,” you murmured, touching its muzzle. What had felt almost like velvet fur beneath your fingers when they were small were now smooth, warm scales
  • Hanzo watched you, smiling slowly. He’d been counting, and you had yet to notice that it seemed the hiccups had disappeared- as well as your sadness, as you took in the dragons
  • When you did realize, you were trying to stroke both of their muzzles as they begged for attention, a loud growling purr nearly knocking you off your feet
  • “You…you stopped my hiccups,” you said, staring at your boyfriend
  • “I did nothing of the sort,” he said, but you saw the slow tug of his lips in a smile as he watched you three, arms crossed

Soldier 76:

  • You kept it from him the first few hiccup attacks you got
  • It was incredibly embarrassing to you, even if you knew he’d be fine with it
  • Too many times have people mocked you as you struggled to get such a normal thing under control
  • And most of the time, the hiccups didn’t go away for minutes
  • Unfortunately for you, Soldier is not a fool
  • Someone mentioned seeing you with one of these hiccup attacks, getting teased by some of the other trainees
  • The hiccups didn’t bother him but the fact that someone was making fun of you certainly brought rage into his face
  • Calmly though, Soldier left it alone and didn’t ask you about it that evening
  • From what he’d heard, apparently your hiccups were frequent and so the next day, he decided to check in….a lot.
  • You never knew whenever he stopped by, but sure enough, he caught you staring at the ground miserably in the early afternoon
  • Others were smirking or glancing at you, and he could see from where he was the little jump that displayed your hiccups
  • Jack’s lips tightened as he took in the sight of your tear-filled eyes, which looked so tired…tired of hiccups and tired of being teased for something you had no control over
  • Slowly Jack walked over, taking his steps calmly and carefully as not to draw attention
From where Ana stood on the other side, she didn’t bother to signal his appearance, knowing the children were in trouble
  • After a moment, a pair of firm hands rested on your shoulders
  • Looking up, you saw his face as he looked not at you….but slowly surveyed the rest of the trainees, eyes narrowed
  • “Jack…” you whispered, wishing he didn’t have to see, but you felt bad more for the people around you. You knew that now that Jack was aware of the situation, he had only to say the word and they would be forced to leave
  • “Did any of you wish to try me in a spar?” Jack said softly, with a lethal icy calm beneath the exterior that made you fear for others. “You see, I’ll gladly break a few fingers, if your time is only worth picking on y/n here.”
  • The others didn’t speak, some of them stepping back.
  • Ana seemed to be waiting, arms crossed, and you knew she would stop Jack from doing something like this- but he had to scare them, you realized
  • “No? I suppose you have important things to do, like keep your mouths shut and train, instead of being pigs and tormenting a teammate,” Jack said, voice dripping venom
  • The others were pale and nodded, before hurrying off to train, some of them looking a little faint
  • “Did you have to scare them like that?” Ana said, not at all angry with him as she smiled
  • Jack snorted. “I could have done worse,” he mutters, before leaning down to brush a kiss over your lips, pausing. “Your hiccups…are gone. It seemed I surprised the hiccups right from you,” he said with a slow smile.
  • After a moment you just rested your head on his shoulder, realizing he was right. The hiccups were gone

Reinhardt:

  • The two of you were in town together, his large hand on your shoulder
  • It was almost Reinhardts birthday and you two were out shopping together, trying to find something for him
  • Reinhardt had insisted over and over that you weren’t required to get him anything, that your love alone was the only present he could ask for in this world
  • All the same, you gave him a smile and told him that the two of you were going into town and would be looking for something, anything that he might want
  • At some point the two of you stopped for lunch, enjoying the silence, even as the two of you watched the birds flitting about in the park across the street
  • The two of you headed over after, wanting to see the birds and just enjoy the company you shared with each other
  • Until you felt a small jolt as the two of you headed into the park. It was a familiar feeling, and tickled your throat mercilessly
  • “No,” you groaned, trying to breath and another hiccup arose. It jolted your body, and made your head ache
  • Your hiccups were a bit aggressive and didn’t mind being a problem
  • Reinhardt stopped, noticing the hiccups and his eyes softened as he pulled you close to his side
  • “It’s okay, love,” Reinhardt says gently, understanding of the hiccups and he can see that they bother you
  • Despite the fact that they usually upset you…its hard to be upset when Reinhardt is talking to you in that sweet, deep voice of his, either stroking your hair or cradling you each time
  • “S-sorry,” you said, embarrassed but you smiled hesitantly, hating the hiccups but knowing you loved him a lot
  • And then…you saw a few guys walking past notice your hiccups and snicker as they went
  • Your face fell before you could stop it, and in turn you felt Reinhardt tense and stop
  • “Reinhardt,” you said instantly, voice gentle as you asked for his attention
  • He stood there, glaring after the teenagers walking off. He didn’t care how young and ignorant they were
  • How dare they cause you to make such a face?
  • You gently placed a hand on his arm, watching him with love clear in your eyes. “Its okay,” you promised.
  • Reinhardt paused, looking down at you
  • Then he scoops you up so your sitting on his arm, growling as he walks, and you realize this is his way of being protective
  • Of trying to shield you from the sadness you felt when people noticed your hiccups
  • Your gentle giant…
  • “I love you, my knight,” you said with a soft smile, forgetting how badly the hiccups bothered you. Forgetting you even had them, as they slowly faded away
  • With raw emotion in his eyes, Reinhardt looked up at you
  • “I love you.”
