To all dads what would you do if you found Dadsona’s sketchbook and found out he’s an extremely talented artist and find little sketchers in of yourselves in sketchbook???

ask-the-dads:

Mat: He never really thought of himself as being someone’s muse in this way and when he sees himself on the paper it sets his heart a flutter. A lot of them were of him at work, but his favourite one was him and Carmensita cuddled up together at home. He likes the sketches of himself but never really brings it up because he’s too embarrassed to. Mat does, however, ask if Dadsona will do some professional pieces to hang up in the Coffee Spoon. Whenever someone asks about the pieces he brags that his boyfriend made them.

Robert: When Robert sees the sketches his kneejerk reaction is to poke fun at it. He drapes himself across the sofa and waits for Dadsona to return, “Draw me like one of your French girls, baby.” Dadsona sighs and throws this coat at him, “You saw the sketches didn’t you.” Though, he doesn’t say it, he’s really flattered, his favourites are the ones including Betsy.

Joseph: There are moments, after the divorce where Joseph just feels inadequate, like he’s fooling himself that Dadsona actually wants to be with him. When he finds the sketches of himself and realises just how Dadsona sees him, he’s on the verge of tears. Dadsona returns home to find Joseph still sat there staring over the sketchbook and presumes he’s offended him by not asking first. He’s cut off before he can start explain by Joseph pulling him into a hug, “Please, just never stop drawing me.”

Damien: This man is the perfect muse. He’s posed for oil paintings and sketches galore. His garden offers a plethora of flowers to decorate each piece with added meaning. Flowers of passion, love, admiration frame his features when Dadsona draws him. These are much more personal than his paintings and when Damien sees them he’s so flustered his face goes completely red. He thanks Dadsona graciously and offers to pose whenever he likes.

Craig: While he never asked if Dadsona was drawing him again, he presumed he was because he used to practice sketching him in college. Dadsona eventually gains enough confidence to show Craig the drawing and he’s all complements about it “Bro you’re so talented, you’ve improved so much! These look more real than I do!” If anything Dadsona has just boosted his ego.

Brian: He had thought Dadsona occasionally accompanied him to work to draw the scenery not him. However, when he found the sketchbook abandoned on the break table his curiosity had gotten the better of him and he picked it up. He found it was full of sketches of himself in his work gear looking strong and proud. He couldn’t help the smile that grew from ear to ear, well now he knew why Dadsona look embarrassed when Brian caught his eye during the day.

Hugo: The sketches of Hugo tended to be of him sleeping or reading a book, Dadsona usually incorporated quotes from books that Hugo had read out loud to him too. It was this that had Hugo’s heart racing when he saw them, because he’d thought that Dadsona had been ignoring him from time to time, when he couldn’t have been paying more attention. Once he’s gotten over the shock of it, he asks Dadsona to draw him in a wrestling suit for a laugh.
