another fan child! o(^▽^)o This is Kazuya, a fanchild of the rarepair Neon Dragon or Genji and Sombra! Personally, I think given some time apart from their respective organizations/company, they’d find they have a few things in common. Maybe they’d even find love. I have a bit of an AU for them so I plan to submit some Neon Dragon headcanons in the future. For now, a bit about Kazuya!
> Genji had been so excited about Sombra’s pregnancy, he’d discussed his excitement with his Master, Zenyatta, who was the only other one who knew about Genji’s relationship with the former Talon agent. Because of his relationship with his master and his desire to live a relatively peaceful life, Genji brought up the name to Sombra who agreed it was fitting, as it means peace or harmony.
> Kazuya spent his first few years with both his parents until they decided it’d be best if he stayed with Genji and Zenyatta for a while. It broke their hearts but Sombra still had enemies both within Talon and the mysterious ‘Eye’ collective she’d pursued most of her life. She didn’t want to subject Kazuya to a life of running but she promised him she’d be back.
> He spends a large amount of time with his father and Zenyatta and enjoys meditating with them – he had the potential to be very mischievous and while he’s very clever, he’s otherwise quite collected.
> While he had basic combat training with Genji, Kazuya isn’t much of a fighter. As his father noted, he’s rather artistic. When he’s with his mother, he finds himself traveling to many places and he loves to draw creative inspiration from each new place he visits. Over the years, she’d always bring him sketchbooks and he’d fill them all completely.
> During his travels, places that held heavy anti-Omnic views have left him confused. Despite his parents explaining why a majority still hold anti-Omnic mindsets, Kazuya just can’t seem to understand. As he grows up, he fights for Omnic rights, though this eventually branches out toward helping any group in need when he sees just how much of the world still suffers as a result of the Omnic Crisis and petty mini-wars that came afterward.
> Genji and Sombra often talk about how they’re surprised they ended up with such a calm boy but they don’t mind at all. He’s a bit of an anchor for them amidst the chaos, especially for Sombra who discovered an intense desire for peace through Genji and her son.
