I think all writers need a friend who will encourage their desire to write absolute garbage. Not necessarily something that is badly written, but like, stupid self indulgent bullshit. “Cringey” aus or crossover fanfics. Aus or crossover fics of your own ocs.
Writing that stuff is fun and is great practice, but sometimes I feel like “wow, this is hardly productive, why am I even writing this, who else would ever want to read this?” The answer is your friend who encourages your trash writing, that’s who. Write it for yourself and for them.

the idea of trainer!sombra and trainer!mccree meeting b/c of their cubones is 😭😭😭 i like to imagine both cubones just managed to run off one day and when their trainers finally catch up to them, they nearly get confused until they’re like ‘nope, this one’s mine, he’s got a crack on his skull here, see? ‘ ‘yeah and this one is mine, she’s stubborn like a taurus’ n then they ask to see each other’s pokemon and maybe they battle ;A; i really like this au lol
mccree and sombra would totally be those annoying ‘young couple’ trainers like in the games 😂😂
everrrrrr since i saw that owl spray feat. mccree/sombra/zarya/hanzo, i had a headcanon that the grafts along sombra’s head can be detached. so like when she leaves talon, she decides to get a hair cut and let it grow back out. ‘course she starts getting hair similar to how she had it when she was new to talon(let’s just say she wasn’t proud of that cut) and gets a little self-conscious but a certain cowboy loves it 👀👀👀👀
