I have been wanting to do one like this for a while now. I do hope you don’t mind that I add one more option to this because the idea populated so you get everyone plus a bonus.

He didn’t want to say he was giving up hope, but you had been gone for about 24 hours at this point. He searched everywhere, trying to find you, trying to get you back. Only to get a “mysterious” tip that you were held at an abandoned Imperial base camp. He shouldn’t have let you go alone and now…
“Y/N?”
A cough!
“Y/N!” He ran, quickly to the soft groaned, finding you gagged and bound to a gate, a blindfold over your eyes. “No, no, Y/N are you okay?”
As he pulled you down, he checked you over, you were bruised and you had cuts all over but nothing seemed too terrible until he removed the blindfold, your eyes, milky white.

And for self indulgence I drew post WoR older Prompto with hair down. Aint nobody got time to be stylish once you became grouchy and emotionally stunted.
My headcanon is that the bros will try to move on by doing stuff the love. Ignis as a chef, opening a small and humble restaurant.
Gladio became a gym trainer and also trains future hunters.
And Prompto…
Who am I kidding…No ONE will move on. Their lives was so entwined with Noct’s that to have him suddenly gone unnaturaly just broke them apart inside.
Ignis became emotionally vulnerable and easily cries. Noctis was literally his only family member left so to have him be taken away just destroyed him. What even is his purpose? But he knows if he goes now it’ll just not end well. So he hold his head up high and continues despite his mind and soul in shambles. This is Ignis we are talking about.
Gladio at least became super empathetic towards people and became a definition of a gentle giant with a broken heart. This guy will become much softer than imagine but is super firm if needed to be. But alone he would contemplate and remember the time they were together and this often times just lead to Gladio chugging down beer, trying to wipe off tears and him falling asleep because he’s emotionally drained.
And Prompto’s emotions just stops working and he became reclusive and is extremely afraid of being close to people. He lost precious people because of himself and that’s what he constantly believes in. He has been and is always the most emotional out of all 4 and it got too much to the point it just all…. Stops.
Prompto copes by writing down a book, whatever happens in their journey he wrote it down and he unintentionally became a successful author of a book called “Journey to Dawn.” And he hates it with a passion. So much he shuts down not only from people but from the whole world.

This is completely within the realm of possibility…! And I don’t like it!! Reinhardt is too good…too adorable…he can’t die! And why do you bring this sad ass theory into my house?! I’m just gonna sit over here and cry now. 😭😭😭
It does make me wonder if we’ll ever find out why Reinhardt was forced out of Overwatch…and with this mention of someone dying, and this sudden interaction concerning him…I don’t like where this is going!
I’ve actually got a few different headcanons for Sombra when she’s pregnant depending on the pairing (Mcsombra, Neon Dragon, Troubleshooting)…but I’ll go with general headcanons for now!
No matter who the pregnancy is with, her initial reaction will always be fear. It may not show right away but she definitely freaks out when she’s alone. Her main concern is what’s going to happen now that she has someone to protect from everyone who has ever sworn they were going to find her? Or from the people she tries to keep hidden from?
Sombra gets cravings, sure, but she’s much more prone to morning sickness and nausea for a large part of her pregnancy. It might be half due to the stress she’s under while she’s pregnant or while she’s in paranoia mode 24/7…but she can hardly keep anything down. Bad enough your diet’s shoddy as it is – to add vomiting to the mix, the first few months are some the worst she’s ever experienced.
Yet for all the anxiety, the fear, stress, and sickness…there’s a small part of Sombra that’s actually looking forward to having a child. Sure, it’ll be hard and it’ll be difficult to keep them safe the way she wants them to be…but there will be a baby with her soon. And that baby will have a mother. She still can’t believe that she’ll be a mom but the thought that keeps her going is that she’s determined to actually be around for her child.
When she’s not busy, one of Sombra’s favorite things to do is to go over names for the baby. She has a small list on pen and paper – she doesn’t want to use her implants so much when she’s pregnant- full of scratched out names and scribbles of possible choices. She doesn’t want anything particularly meaningful…but she doesn’t settle on a name until she finds the one that feels ‘natural’ when she says it aloud.
It’s something she never thought she’d end up doing or enjoying…but Sombra really loves shopping for baby clothes. It’s something that doesn’t occur to her until she realizes she’s going to need them. And she goes to a secondary store, to avoid being seen by too many people…but the first time she holds up a little onesie, she imagines her baby in it, and realizes that she’s going to be taking care of a little human in just a few weeks. She almost starts crying there and then, though she blames it on hormones going wild.
It’s often hard for Sombra to go to sleep – even more so during pregnancy. What she likes to do is go for long night walks. It’s peaceful – quiet – a little chilly. Just the way she likes it. She’ll walk along the roads of the hills that overlook the sea, the sound of the waves soothing her better than most anything at that point. She’ll rub her belly occasionally, softly uttering her chosen name for the baby, anticipating the day they’ll finally be there with her.

This is such a huge compliment and such a nice thing to read tonight after a rough morning??? I’m not sure if my work is really all that complex or deep…but if it makes you happy, then I am, too! I think every pairing has its boring name though, y’know, the one that’s just a mashup of their names? Troubleshooting, for example is known as Somzo and Neon Dragon is known as Somji…not too fun, either. I think it’s just because Mch*nzo became popular so all subsequent McCree pairings just sorta followed that pattern? Sure is a shame, though. I’ve seen some really neat suggestions for Mcsombra here and there.
…I’ll agree, though, Sombra does have a lot of cool pairing names. I don’t support them all, but my faves are Criminal Justice (Pharah x Sombra) and Life Hax (Mercy x Sombra)

In all seriousness, it’s my favorite Mcsombra fanfic. I know why some people wouldn’t like it or give it a chance because of it’s rating (which, in my honest opinion, doesn’t even qualify as an ‘E’ rated fic – it’s so tame)…and even though the events in the story don’t really follow canon (not that I care – what even IS canon in this damn game?)…I think it’s just a freaking sweet story.
I just really love how McCree, Sombra, Mercy, Soldier 76, and even Reaper and Widow are characterized…to me it felt very natural. All the while reading it, I could feel that old ‘gunslinger’ charm from McCree that I got when watching old western movies. And their relationship was cute – it started out as what you’d expect from Sombra – just using McCree as an extension to go after what she truly wants but eventually she regrets it.
How can I say it…it’s almost like a pure romance story, even with a character as non-romantic as Sombra as the heroine. I think I ended up really attaching myself to the story because up until that point, most fics for Mcsombra were either a) unfinished b) pure smut or c) both. This fic was the first that had some sort of plot, was written well, and yes, included more adult elements, but ended on a very sweet note. It’s definitely my feel good story. I re-read it quite often. And I will forever be in debt to Mmmph for creating one of my top 5 fanfiction ever.
I wish the Mcsombra tag on Ao3 had more of these gems…
Trust me, I haven’t forgotten, anon! It HAS been a long time coming and I have the pose n everything…but I’ve just been preoccupied with other stuff. I’d love to focus on this and more troubleshooting stuff after Mcsombra week, though!
it’s just a small little detail…probably because i didn’t get into overwatch until a days into the event…but in the 2017 anniversary video, when they announced the three new arcade maps, for Castillo, it’s not Sombra who makes a debut despite it very obviously being her home, it’s McCree!

I think all writers need a friend who will encourage their desire to write absolute garbage. Not necessarily something that is badly written, but like, stupid self indulgent bullshit. “Cringey” aus or crossover fanfics. Aus or crossover fics of your own ocs.
Writing that stuff is fun and is great practice, but sometimes I feel like “wow, this is hardly productive, why am I even writing this, who else would ever want to read this?” The answer is your friend who encourages your trash writing, that’s who. Write it for yourself and for them.

you know a joke that never EVER gets old is when a character says smth like “I will NOT go to [place] and that is FINAL” and then it cuts to them in that place I eat that shit up every single time
Equally good variant: when the character says smth like “what’s the worse that could happen?” and it cuts to a scene where it’s so much worse than what they imagined
Hmmm, I guess I can see what you mean. Though at this point, I’d just chok it up to Blizzard’s art team going ‘ah crap, we didn’t mean for this character to get so popular…shit, we gotta make him a skin where he was younger…’ And then they just kinda went their own way. To me, the Blackwatch skin follows the official art references a lot more closely than his classic model does.
Should we just say that maybe the vigilante life is good for McCree’s stress? Everyone knows that stress makes you look hella older…
