You were roused from your slumber by a soft warmth on your cheek. Then your forehead, followed by your nose; causing you to wrinkle it a little. Slowly letting your eyes open, and making a soft noise in the back of your throat you blinked up at whatever woke you up. Only to realize that his face was so close to yours.
“Ah!” You blinked your eyes open wide as you felt a warmth of a blush rush across your face. “Did—Did I fall asleep?”
Dino hummed quietly as he pressed another gentle kiss to your forehead. “Ya did Doll, apparently the trip out took a bit more outta ya than you thought, huh?”
“I guess,” you said softly as you reached up to gently rub your fingers against your eye. You moved to get up only to have his arms wrap about you tighter, and draw you back down, so that you were once more cuddled against his chest.
Sorry this took me a bit to get to, work has been doing that thing where I’m only able to be creative when it’s kinda slow. But the fact that you’re still asking me about the crossover….

Ahem! Anyhow…! So! Here’s a few headcanons for you – I’ll probably elaborate a bit more on these in the actual story.. [Hiya @phoenix-manga tagging youuuuu cause crossover! Woo!]
But, the Hunter does have an array of weapons by the time the get somewhat settled with the boys on Eos. Mind you, Cid was right confused when the Hunter asked him to build a greatsword made of bone, but he figured things out alright in the end.
Noctis was nice enough to let the Hunter store their gear in The Armiger, and of course, one day, Noct was curious about the weapons they were using, so the bros asked to use them one day at training.
So..there was a lot of trial and error in the beginning..
Noctis: had been eyeing that longsword ever since Cid built it for them, and he was positive that he could use it easily enough. However the first time he picked up the blade he didn’t think he’d flop over face first at its weight.
He got really good with the Spirit Thrust attack with the weapon though, and adding his warp ability to it as well, he almost got harder to hit than the Hunter when using it.
Prompto: He became almost a pro with the Gunlance. When he could compensate for the weight. “Jeez, how do you move with this thing?!” and he came to realize that it was much like the Machine weapons he’d used from Niflheim.
The Hunter got a bit jealous with him using this weapon however, because he could get the Wyvern’s fire to go off more often than they could.
Ignis: Being ever so elegant with spears and daggers, he figured he’d do well with the Lance or with the Dual Blades, and despite their size, which he compensated for rather quickly, was actually able to master them in a short time.
The Hunter started to affectionately call him Demon, just because of how often he’d flip into the ‘Demon mode’ with the blades and would become more acrobatic if that was possible.
Gladio: The Greatsword was his choice, just because of the fact that the first time he’d seen the Hunter use this weapon, he was impressed by its size, and the fact that it was so damned heavy and they could lift it with ease, he was impressed with it to say the least. And since he already used a greatsword of his own, all he had to do was compensate for the weight.
He loves tackling monsters with it. And the Hunter swears that they made a mistake teaching him how to do that.
I HC Dino to have been the son of Mafioso, and his Uncle Charlie takes him in, but the ties of the Mafia never really leave him, and Dino continues to run the Ghiranze Family. I have so much more to write for him and his Uncle it’s not even funny, but–

If there was one thing about Dino Ghiranze that everyone knew, it was the man had secrets.
Sure, everyone knew about the reporter-turned-jeweler was big into having people fetch stones for him. And also, everyone knew that he was doing what he could to keep people safe, with information and accessories. But there were things about the guy that just didn’t mesh. Small little things that just made people wonder just what he was hiding.
But Dino isn’t one that would tell his secrets easily, and rumors and made up stories of him spread the more popular his work became. Rumors of things like what his family might have been like? How did a guy with a thick accent from the region of Accordo, land in the Quay? What were the exact connections that got him here? And were the rumors about his family true? Those dark rumors of things underground?
Anytime anyone asked him about it, he’d give a charming smile and a light tilt of his head before asking in return. “Tell me Doll, what do you think?” and he’d dance around the question with more of his own only to laugh softly as the one asking the questions would become more flustered with the outcome, and storm off, but not without one of his pieces.

Okay, but if Sombra is little red riding hood, she is not dealing with any of the wolf’s crap. She basically outsmarts him at every turn. This in turn, angers McCree but he also kind of admires how cunning and crafty she is??
McCree chose the latter option, and whenever someone draws near it, he’s conflicted because he doesn’t want to be cursed but doesn’t want to shove the burden onto anyone either. Sombra interests him though… he opts to talk to her directly rather than just turning into a wolf and scaring her away like everyone else who’s passed through his domain… sorry I ranted(2/2)
This is a really interesting concept.
Gabriel is the person Sombra is certain she knows is actually alive, but has no way of finding him. The legend of the silver and iron threaded rope holds knowledge of everything. Most of the warnings tell of those who have wrapped the rope around their arm to have been overwhelmed and driven mad from what they came to know.
The legend also keeps it hidden deep within a dark forest, haunted with all sorts of demons and ghouls. Most importantly, a great beast guards the silver and iron threaded rope. Those who wish to even glimpse the magical artifact must first get past the monster.
Under her red hood, blessed with protective magic against most unholy beasts, Sombra takes into the woods. She knows she can handle the information, and get past the monster.
She ends up running into a handsome man out all alone in the dark woods. They speak for a time, although Sombra is certain something if off with him. He calls himself McCree. After a brief but engaging conversation, he sighs and tells her to go back. There is no hope of her finding the silver and iron threaded rope.

okay sure. psychosis? scarier to have than to know someone who has it. DID? im more a threat to myself than people around me. wheelchairs and psych meds? are tools that help people live more functional and flexible lives and are not judgments of the persons character and for sure are not scary things. and for real, intellectually disabled people are not threats, but movies love to make them villains because they act different and understand the world differently. and people with notable physical differences? people who’s bodies look different? people with scars, growths, amputations, etc? are literally just people. and seeing themselves painted like monsters on the big screen is absolutely sickening and damaging to how society will see them.
its not only bad writing but its extremely harmful to people who actually live with conditions that are misrepresented in media. when i found out i had DID, my mom freaked out because her only point of reference was Sybil. when i was younger and first went on psych meds, i thought it meant i was set on a track to be a bad person, because in so many movies and video games you find out the bad guy has medication in his bed side table for some sort of psych disorder. the worst thing a hallucination has ever made me do was wake my mom up at 3 AM to check my bathroom to see if the bugs i saw everywhere were real and the worst thing an “episode” of any sort has made me do is hurt myself. my ptsd doesnt make me kill people, my alters dont kidnap people, my autism doesnt make me so morally unaware that ill murder for senselessly, my ocd doesnt make me hurt people etc etc etc
literally the only “horror” is the ableism. and the only way you can write good horror about disability and mental illness is if the focus is on how society and the medical field treat us rather than focusing on how we are apparently so scary, threatening, and bad.

Here’s a thought, maybe people’s growing irreverence for 9/11 is because it was a long time ago and younger generations weren’t as affected by it, or maybe they are so sick of the way it has been basically commercialised by politicians and used as a device to justify incalculable pain and they are tired of it being cynically trotted out every year and told to never forget while every year they are also told to all but ignore mass shootings and US humanitarian crimes.
And like, I dunno, maybe it isn’t about disrespecting those who died but refusing, for any number of reasons, to be a part of the governmental hallmark industry that has built up around it.
I take students to see the 9/11 memorial all the time. More and more of the students I get were either so young or not even born yet.
And every time, I ask them, what do you think? What are you feeling? And many of them are hesitant to respond so I’ll prompt, “Was it sad? Was it boring?” And as soon as they know I’m not gonna judge them for it, 100% of the time, they respond, “I feel bad that I don’t feel as moved by it as you. You cried when you told us about it and I get that it was such a horrible day and so many people died, but I can’t really think of what life was like before or just after that time.”
That really struck me the first time I heard it because these kids really don’t remember a time when things were so carefree and relatively quiet. Little to no security screenings. Almost zero school shootings. Kids stayed outside by themselves until the street lamps came on.
Because they grew up in a post-9/11 society, all they’ve ever known is mass violence and distrust of everything.
