Lemme one day reach that age where FFXV has the chance to be remake into something refreshing and new for the future old me.
There’s this fic on AO3 that, according to my history page, I have visited 176 times. Which means I alone am responsible for 176 hits on that fic. I commented on some of the chapters, but only a few, because I feel like a stalker when I comment every week. I gave it kudos, but I can only give it one, even though it’s one of my favorites.
So just remember, when you’re looking at that hit count and wondering why you don’t have that same number of kudos (divided by the number of chapters, because each one of those also counts as a hit), it might be because some people out there love your fic. They read it when they’re feeling down. They open it in the waiting room at the doctors office, or in the lonesome dark of night. They turn to it in celebration when they did something right. They open it over and over so they can send the link to their friends, or just to revisit the characters that they love. They checked it ten times in one day, hoping that you had updated.
A disparity between hits and kudos does not mean that your readers didn’t like your fic, or that they were too lazy to hit the kudos button. It means that some of them came back, and there’s nothing that makes me happier about my writing than that.

Uh, yes! It’s common courtesy to not tag something that isn’t related. I notice a lot of people do this just to get more views (and worse – sometimes to just piss people off).
It’s like people who tag solo fanart of a character with ship names…it just makes it so aggravating to find any decent artwork without seeing a romantic/sexual connotation anywhere. Again, I think most artists do it for views on their piece or they don’t want ppl to tag their work with other ships…I dunno?
Some people are chill if you ask ‘hey can you pls untag ‘X’, thanks’ while others are major asshats about it.
This is why I never tag my ship opinion posts with the ship name…it’s just goddamn rude and no one wants to go into their otp tag to see ‘LOL I HATE THIS SHIP’ kind of posts…ESPECIALLY if it’s a rare pair with hardly any content as it is.
Like, I guess I’m okay if it’s supposed to relate to a multitude of ships like ‘Reblog if you love all ships no matter what’ but eh. Those kinds of posts just clog up the search, imo.

Note from a graphic designer who has to fix this shit all day: rich black is prettier sure but for the love of the gods don’t use it for text if it’s going on newsprint. If its anything other than solid black it will bleed out and become unreadable.
Half my job is fixing this mistake all day from people who really really should know better. And now you know!
I finally got to work a bit more on my Pokemon AU :’D I decided to go with something fluffy. Sombra’s Haunter has always been a mischevious ghost instead of more sinister and it looooooves to bug McCree. He dislikes that Sombra lets it roam free, especially since it’s gotten into the habit of interrupting their morning time. One particular morning, well into Sombra’s pregnancy, they share a moment together after she feels the baby kicking…only for Haunter to come floating in, curious about the commotion. And McCree’s like “Get back in your ball, ya spook” xD
