Something I think is neat and really cute about fanfic is that there’s a personal version of each character in it? Like, each writer focuses on different traits and qualities and even though there can be a hundred fics with the same character, they’re really not exactly the same.

So even if you and I are writing a fic with the same characters, they can still be uniquely different despite having the same core and they’re each dear to us personally as our take on the person.

I don’t know, I just think it’s cute that each writer cherishes these characters in personal and unique ways.

Shit, the stuff I said just five YEARS ago (and I’m almost 33) makes me cringe like a motherfucker.

the fact that the group is so willing to accept prompto, no matter what, always gets to me on an emotional level

i’ve always had these huge self image issues, and my self worth has always been lower than the bottom. to see a character openly say that, in front of his friends, showing that kind of emotional vulnerability… you don’t see that very often – especially not a male character

and the guys? they accept him wholeheartedly. they encourage his photography, even posing for him and complementing his photos. they may joke about him being afraid of the dark, or not wanting to fight, but they never expect him to. they KNOW he’s not a warrior. they make sure not to leave him behind, growing extremely worried when it does happen. they find out the truth of his past, and they shrug it off. nothing changes between them

it’s so refreshing and amazing and i love every bit of it

i see myself reflected in prompto, in his struggles with self image and self worth. i may have not been obese as a child, but i’ve had my fair share of ridicule and teasing, things that would leave emotional scars and make me think i need to be a “better person” than that. i share his autophobia (fear of being alone or abandoned) and his hatred of himself. i, too, wear the same happy-go-lucky, outgoing mask

to connect to a character so much, and to have that character open up to his friends about it on screen, and have them support him fully through it all… it means so much to me

and that’s why prompto is my favourite

not because he’s a ball of sunshine or a cute character, but because i see myself on the screen. and somehow, it lets me know that everything’s going to be okay

I actually haven’t heard of this pairing and I keep forgetting Luca is a plot important characters whoops.

• Ranzal is a tease. He likes picking on Luca in the most affectionate ways possible, and Luca’s okay with that. It’s the nature of their relationship!
• In turn, Luca plays pranks on Ranzal – but all of them are really dorky and cute, like leaving notes that call him a lovable jerk and to remember to train that day. 
• You can’t tell me Luca didn’t tie his feet around a tree branch and wait for half an hour just so he could pop out of the tree to smooch Ranzal.
• (It took Ranzal another thirty minutes to help Luca out of the tree.)
• Ranzal makes sure Luca eats and stays on top of things instead of goofing around
• You bet Luca’s the little spoon when the cuddle

I can give you some Headcanons, anon!

Lily and Luca are the main culprits. Luca’s the one who gets the ideas, Lily makes them better, and Euden is the one who gets dragged along to get them out of trouble later. The list of pranks pulled include:

1. Leaving Marbles for people to trip over in the main hall
2. Leaving doors propped to dump buckets on people
3. Tricking Ranzal into eating a pie coated in flour
4. Throwing random ingredients into Cleo’s stew
5. Swapping the sugar and the salt
6. replacing the mana in Orsem’s skates with fire mana
7. leaving terrible gifts for everyone
8. Freezing the grand hall 
9. freezing the plumbing
10. Freezing almost everything

And that was just in one day.

I hope this works out, I’m not sure how I feel about it.

• Ranzal and Luca working together to prank is a nightmare so foul Cleo has a task force of herself, Elisanne and Sarisse to stop it from happening.
• It doesn’t work because they plot while snuggling in Ranzal’s room and no one wanted to go int there.
• (Full disclosure? Luca likes to use Ranzal as a pillow. He’s comfortable.)
• The prank was set – Ranzal and Luca were going to relabel everything in Cleo’s kitchen before she’d notice.
• Euden happened in on Ranzal and Luca before they started their work, and was roped in with “helping”.
• Euden didn’t realize what he did until he heard Cleo gagging in the kitchen later.
• Luca and Ranzal were cackling the whole way to the bar, as Cleo kicked them out of the castle until she fixed the mess.

• Eleonora takes a long time to warm up to Luca, because his pranks don’t help at all and she takes a while to get comfortable around someone as immature as him.
• Luca is a dummy, as he keeps using pranks to get his affections across in an attempt to how he feels through his favorite medium. 
• Eleonora takes forever to catch on.
• Luca likes to pick up Eleonora because once he realized that’s something he could do he practically never puts her down.
• Eleonora finds it cute that she always knows when he’s bluffing/lying because his ears twitch.
• They like to explore human stuff together. It’s basically Jack from Nightmare Before Christmas.
• Eleonora starts pranking Luca back after a while. A prank war between Sylvans, if you will.

Not going to lie, I was a smidge disappointed Ranzal wasn’t voice by Patrick Seitz. Ranzal is such a Patrick type character, especially since Ranzal looks so much like Olberic from Octopath Traveler, who Patrick did voice.

• Ranzal is, regardless of his in game element, your rock. No matter what happens, he’s reliable and dependable, and whatever you’re going through, Ranzal keeps steady. He’s a professional at it.
• He likes to pick you up! He loves carrying you around, regardless of the reason, and (especially if you’re shorter than him) he likes to use it as an excuse to kiss you so he doesn’t have to bend down.
• You met him during his days as a mercenary, and upon meeting again he offers that you stay with him in the halidom. 
• He missed you a lot! You guys were really close as mercenaries and now you’re back!!!
• Ranzal also loves to tease you in the nicest way possible.
• There isn’t a kitchen you two won’t over work with how much you eat, though…

I am positive however, that Varric has not let your birthday slip by without someone causing a ruckus…but I do hope he remembers to keep both Blackwall and Sera out of the wine. No sense in them having to be poured back into their rooms….or having them cheat you out of your clothing during a game of Wicked Grace….(I know someone was cheating that night. I know I am not that bad at cards..)

Hmm, I get the appeal, I really do, but personally for me, I just can’t see Sombra being jealous over things that happened in the past, and quite frankly, when she was at an age where romance or the future desire for one wasn’t anywhere on her mind. I just see her as too goal oriented to really care about that stuff. For me, jealous-Sombra doesn’t start springing up until she’s well-established in a relationship with McCree. 

However, I can definitely see her possibly being envious of the friendship that they had between them, though McCree would tell her that things just hadn’t been the same since he left Deadlock the first time as Ashe took it his leaving to heart. If anything, hearing him talk about Deadlock and how Ashe really saw it more as a family might remind her how Los Muertos was that sorta surrogate family she had growing up, even if they were gangs. And she’s just glad that she has that in common with him – it makes her feel like McCree would definitely understand where she came from. ❤
