A new event has begun. This event gives various hat Pikachu and can be obtained on American, European and Japanese 3DS games including Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon. This runs from today until December 1st. The codes are as follows:
Exactly what it says. Since my scanner is being special and won’t connect to my computer, I wanted to upload at least something else for the month! Anyways, alternate version of those Nitro+ style chibis that were also turned into straps last year. I believe AmiAmi still has some boxes with them, but don’t quote me on it.

In tribute of the “Summer of Saiyuki” with a brand new anime that
brought the Sanzo Ikkout back to the TV screen (and streaming), here’s the Summer Time collection of illustrations
featured in a “pop up” shop in Tokyo from mid June to mid July.
Here we have Gojyo wearing the black version
of the Saiyuki T-shirt that could be purchased at the shop (note the design has all of the guy’s weapons!) along with
the clear file this is sourced from. The kappa is looking to get your attention. I mean, that hand looks like it’s about
to unfold and reach out to you. What’s interesting here is that Gojyo wears his t-shirt a bit more fitted than Hakkai,
or perhaps, Hakkai likes his summer clothes with a bit more room and goes a size up? In any case, it must be hot in
there with black…yeah…Can’t say I’m a fan of the ripped jeans, but I do feel it fits the kappa along with the oversized belt.

the Japanese word “festival”. Whether it’s for
Spring, Summer, or Fall, one of my favorite types of Japanese pop culture anime art are kimonos & yukata (the
so-called “summer kimono”). Saiyuki is no exception and boy does PlatVis deliver!
Second of four, now we have Gojyo who is wearing instead a Jimbei, a kind of traditional Japanese clothing consisting of
matching top (also known as a happi coat) and shorts and worn by men (and women as well) during the summer, but are also used as nightwear and/or
house wear. It’s hard for me to picture Gojyo on something overly traditional like a yukata, so I think the jimbei fits
him quite well (besides, with those long legs he got, I would think a yukata would be too constricting). Seems he also
shaved those hairy legs… *cough*
Anyways, the kappa does wear the traditional darker colors and complementary geta, or is it “Zori” since
from what I’m reading, the latter is the Japanese sandal more commonly worn with a jimbei. Personally I’m leaning that
it’s a geta as it has a thicker base, but feel free to discuss that one. As a final thought…RED ALARM: The kappa IS
NOT Smoking!

Gojyo” for obvious reasons. But I won’t disagree! Gojyo has dressed up very nicely in white trousers, dress shirt
and even a tie that he is pulling….ladies, you already know what that means….

Ah, but that’s boring stuff none cares about, right? So let’s see: looks like once again our favorite bad boys have been
dragged into a photo shoot for publicity, and Sanzo is not happy about it (would he ever be?). Either way, I’ve always
been particularly fond of men being dressed all in black. There’s something classy about it and sexy all in one package.
I’m sure we can all see Gojyo is amused and probably will tell Sanzo to just chill, while Goku is looking cute &
Hakkai is amused at the whole scene (to none’s surprise).
…I have no idea where I’m going with this, so feel free to make up your own story about this one!

this was my first piece of saiyuki fanart from back when i binge-read it all in a couple of days back in april! (i’ve since drawn way more of these boys, cosplayed hakkai, and bought minekura’s art books; the series immediately meant a lot to me.)

I’m desperately trying to relearn how to draw Jesse after a long ass while since last time. And thanks to the new short I’ve noticed there is a lot of Jesse’s facial structure and features that I’ve taken for granted. That is his nose, and eyebrows surprisingly. I’m not 100% there yet I feel like, but I’ma keep practicing!
