Mrs. Brisby from”The Secret of Nimh.” I decided to take her design and simplify it, make it a bit more graphic. At first there was no background, but I put something simple just to tie it together.
And I implore the lot of you to find a more inspiring female character than a loving mother who has nothing but her love to drive her to saving her home and family.
In the beginning, we were ordinary street rats, stealing our daily bread and living off the efforts of man’s work. We were captured, put in cages, and sent to a place called NIMH.
I’m throwing some real old school stuff your way with this, you guys. A couple of the most memorable characters from NIMH: Mrs Brisby and the Great Owl!
TRUTH MOMENT: The owl always freaked me out a little, I’m not gonna lie. xD
Secret of Nimh! July was this movie’s 35th anniversary. I often tell my students to redo a piece you have done in the past to see how you’ve grown, so it seemed fitting to choose Secret of Nimh! (Still a great movie if you haven’t seen it)
So, fun fact for all of you history dorks, but you know that legend about Cleopatra being so rich and trashy that she would drink her wine with crushed up pearls in it?
Pearls are mostly Calcium Carbonate. When they mix with acids (such as those in wine) they produce carbon dioxide like little balls of fancy alkaseltzer.
What Im saying is, call Cleopatra a trashy hoe all you want, but she was the trashy hoe who invented instant champagne. Bitch was living in 3018 while everyone else was in 18
A/N: I’m not sure where the inspiration for this one came from, but it seems that Gladio wished to give you a moment of comfort and to let you relax after a long day.

There were certain moments in your day that you absolutely lived for. And this was one of them.
It’d been one of those long days, where things were frustrating and nothing was going exactly according to plan, and even though you couldn’t identify it as a bad day, it had been frustrating. You were so very glad to be home, wrapped up in your favorite blanket as you sat on the couch, watching something on one of your streaming services that you hadn’t had the chance to sit down and watch. And next to you was your most favorite person in the world.
Gladio was sitting in the corner of the couch, leaning against the arm rest. In one hand he held his book, the other rested on the back of the couch near your shoulder, his fingers just petting lightly against you now and then.
You couldn’t help but glance over and watch him a moment as a smile turned your lips upwards. This was the way you would spend these semi-rough days, just in quiet company, and no matter how into his book he got, he always had to touch you, as if he had to be sure you were there next to him.
Your smile grew as the corner of his mouth turned up in a slight smile as he paused, lifting his eyes from his book to meet yours. With a hum he moved his hand to card his fingers gently through your hair before letting his arm rest against the back of the couch.
Turning your eyes back to your show you wrapped your blanket about you just a bit more tightly, giggling softly to yourself as you were now in blanket burrito mode. A hum passed your lips as you slowly let yourself sink down and let your head rest gently against his thigh. Your eyes fluttered a bit at the soft, rich chuckle he gave off before his fingers once more found their way into your hair, petting slowly.
A content hum passed your lips as you nuzzled against him as your tried to pay attention to the TV once more.
“Mmn, you keep that up and I’m sure I’ll fall asleep.” you mumbled softly.
“Maybe,” he began softly, a soft chuckle accompanying his words. “That’s the entire idea.” he continued to gently pet his fingers through your hair, gently massaging your scalp, only pausing when he needed to turn the page of his book.
Your eyes fluttered again and you yawned widely, bringing the blanket up higher to cover your mouth, then let a long sigh pass your lips as your eyes finally slipped closed. You told yourself you’d only sleep for five minutes, cause you really wanted to watch this show…
Gladio chuckled down at you as he felt you finally relax, your breathing growing slow and even. He leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to your temple to which you nuzzled more into his thigh, mumbling softly in your sleep.
“Shhh, I’m here babe,” he whispered to you as he resumed petting fingers through your hair. “I won’t let anything happen to you, just rest.”
He couldn’t stop the affectionate smile that lit up his face as he heard you mumble a soft ‘love you’.
“And I love you too Babe, probably more than you know…“
Noctis does not do well in the summer heat. It’s to the point he gets a headache if he stays outside for too long. So during the summer time he stays at home playing video games with the A/C on.
If he ever wants to hang out, he prefers to do it around the evening time. Since that is when the heat starts cooling down.
If he is obligated to go out due to royal duties, the staff will have everything prepared for him. PowerAde, umbrella, sunglasses, hat, you name it. As members of the royal staff, they make sure Noctis is well taken care of.
Prompto:
Depending how hot it is outside, he will either stay at home to catch up on video games or he goes outside for a swim.
Since he exercises regularly, he has to wake up around dawn when the heat is bearable. Sometimes he bumps into Gladio during his morning run.
Since he mostly lives by himself, Prompto knows how to fix his A/C and changes the light bulbs so it wouldn’t be so hot inside. As a result, Noctis would invite him over to check out his A/C since he doesn’t feel like calling the repairmen.
Gladiolus:
The heat doesn’t bother him at all during the summer. But he does take precautions to avoid heat exhaustion. Since he exercises regularly, he works out around dawn and sometimes he’ll bump into Prompto.
Summer is also the time to spend quality time with family now that school is out for Iris. So what they would do is go to water parks and try out all of the extreme water rides together.
He is very cautious when it comes to sunscreen, since tanning can cause fading into his large tattoo. Plus the time and money to book an appointment for touch-ups can be exhaustion. As a result, he always makes sure he has plenty of sunscreen on.
Ignis:
Ignis would use this opportunity to sit by the pool or by the beach to gain a bit of tan. All while everyone else is blasting water guns at each other.
Since he lives in a small apartment, the summer time is where he gives his oven a break. So he will try out recipes that will only require him to use the stovetop or the microwave.
If ever feels like treating himself, he will pour ice onto a bucket and place his feet in it as he distresses after a long day.

Now we all know Prompto here smells like gunpowder and metal, but his favorite scents?
The strongest, fruitiest shit ever
Has candles lit CONSTANTLY, no special occasion or circumstance needed
He really loves “Mint Pomegranate” and “Pineapple Mango”
You know those candles that smell like food? He has twenty (Ignis hates him for it)
Prompto buys the cheapest candles cause he’s broke af
No yankee candle shit for him, he goes to the 100 Gil stores for his candle needs
He lights birthday cake scented candles whenever it’s someone’s bday
Once went a whole week lighting said candle every day because “it’s someone’s birthday somewhere!” and protests from literally all the bros put a quick stop to that
He hates Noctis’ and Gladio’s candles. Claims they smell too suffocating
Iggy’s candles tho? Can’t smell any of ‘em
“Pardon the smell, Prompto, I lit a candle earlier.”
“What smell?”
He’s the chocobro who sticks his hand in the candle wax (accidentally, although he once tried to feign nonchalance when Cindy saw)
He often leaves his house smelling like a more feminine scent after lighting his candles. It usually overpowers his normal metallic scent
Cindy once told him he smelled great
He cried (from happiness)
Gladdy on the other hand… He gave Prom some shit
Prompto cried a second time (not from happiness)
Noctis likes to metaphorically shit on Prom’s candles
“Six, it smells like Iris’ closet…” (no one ever asked how he knows what Iris’ closet smells like)
He never lights the same candle twice in a row no matter how much he likes that candle, so his house (and by extension, him and all of his stuff) always smells like a myriad of sweet and fruity scents
He has all of his candles clumped together in one area and cycles through them. This area is isolated from the rest of his other stuff so the soot only gets on other candles, which Prompto doesn’t mind.
One time when he was bored, he used the candle to try and set something on fire, but he panicked when he was successful and didn’t do that again
Sometimes when he’s feeling especially lonely, he’ll roast marshmallows over the the makeshift campfire that is his candle
Finds both the fire of a lit candle and the smoke of a freshly extinguished candle aesthetically pleasing so you know the boy’s taken a lot of pictures
Gladio
He enjoys the more woodsy, natural scents
Like, every candle in his house has “cabin” in the name or something along that line
Gladdy is a manly man who only likes the manliest of candles (tho he does have a sweet pea scented candle that Iris gave him once)
Tho he also gets candles that he associates with certain authors or books and likes to light them when he reads
Speaking of which, he likes to light candles when he reads. He goes through them pretty quickly ‘cause of that
When he’s left a candle lit for too long, he pours out the wax so he doesn’t have to deal with it
On that note, he also pours out the wax when the wick gets so short that the candle puts itself out. He hates it when that happens
Likes to get those layered candles, thinks that they look nice and always expects all the parts to have slightly different scents, and is always disappointed when they don’t.
Pretends to hate Prompto’s candles, but in actuality he likes them. They remind him of Iris
Has one candle scent that smells like gladioli
It was a gift from his parents
After the fall of Insomnia, he couldn’t bear to light it
On some nostalgic nights, he might open it up and take a sad sniff, otherwise it remains wrapped up and hidden in the back of his closet
Sometimes he lights candles to hide the smell of his sweaty workout clothes when he hasn’t done laundry for a while
Iris hates his candles, Gladio claims they’re too “macho” for her
Iris usually fights him afterwards (she always wins)
The top shelf on his bookcase is reserved solely for the candles he has (which, to be honest, is only ever just enough to fill that one shelf). When he wants to light one he takes it down and puts it on the nearest table, then sits down to read (he restocks this shelf often)
Because he’s secretly a lover of cliches, on multiple separate occasions, he’s read and written by only candlelight. Every single time he does it he ends up turning on a more reliable light source, but he likes the feeling of doing it nonetheless
Another cliche he likes to indulge – sometimes he’ll put the candles out with his fingers instead of blowing it out
Once burned himself after he grabbed the glass casing of a candle that’d been lit for too long. He’s more careful now.

Prompto – He would hide it pretty well – Because he doesn’t really like it when people ask his S/O about the bite marks – It could be uncomfortable to answer a question like this – So he would bite them where he knows the skin gets covered by clothing – Meaning their inner thighs, shoulderblade, maybe their lower back, buttock (only if he feels like it),
Noctis – Their shoulder – He likes their shoulders – Also doesn’t like when people can see the bite marks – He thinks it might look cool when he stands behind them and bites into their shoulder – No one tell him whether it does or not
Ignis – Neck, lips, upper arm – In the most sneakily way possible – He asks if he can feed off them – But doesn’t do it immediately – Like: He asked them five hours ago and just comes waddling in nibbling on their ear slowly moving his lips down their neck to find the perfect spot – Doesn’t really care if they get asked – But if they tell them not to make it obvious – He won’t
Gladio – He loves to hide them and to show them – It’s more his S/O’s choice – Loves to bite way down their neck – Almost the shoulder – Just as much as he loves their arms – And buttocks – He’s a dirty one
Ardyn – They don’t really have a choice – When he’s hungry, he’ll take what he wants – Loves to bite them in intimate moments – It thrills him even more – Inner thighs, really close to their sex – nibbling their ear – Teasing their lip before he punctures little holes in them with the tip of his teeth – Neck – Will pretend to kiss the back of their hand to yank their wrist closer
Ravus – Hides them – Really good – Their back, back of their thighs, maybe even their ankle – Unless he’s heated – He doesn’t really care then
Gladio – He thinks it’s cute – And teases them a lot – But only so they really notice – Like, lightly bumping them, then asking if their confidence went on vacation – And if he can have a postcard – When he introduces them to someone and they hide a little behind him, he melts – Absolutely melts – It’s so cute to him – Has that strong urge to protect them – So he holds them close – Won’t do their phone calls – Unless they really can’t even though they’re trying
Ignis – Thinks its cute – Teases them to be a little braver – Secretly pokes them until they tell him to stop – Or plays with their hair – Might even leave them alone for like two minutes to check something – Tease – But he will make phone calls if they can’t – They forgot how to breathe before ordering their food? – Ignis got them
Prompto – Thinks it’s funny when someone talks to both of you out of the blue and both of you just stand there, awkwardly starring – Also, #same – Lightens their mood by goofing around – Constantly assures that they’re doing great – Is so proud of them when they mastered a social situation – Emotional support boyfriend – Mad preparations for a phone call – Like, write down what they want to say – Deep breathes – He stays while they make the call – It’s that weird thing when two people are highly uncomfortable but one has like a Loophole where they suddenly get a confidence boost and to the thing they are afraid of
Noctis – Let’s just stay inside and not see people – Or stand in a corner hoping for everyone else to ignore us – He can’t deal with social situations himself – He doesn’t expect them to do it like a pro – In fact, Noctis wouldn’t have a problem with holding their hand or standing by their side when they’re nervous – Emotional support boyfriend – Breathing practice before a phone call – Chocolate and video games as a reward afterward
Thank you, Square Enix, for a) making the muscle head of the group a bookworm, and b) leaving enough clues to make the smart one be the smart one without making him the stereotypical bookworm.

Had some people asking for more Foxy and Mangle so I figured I’d draw them together! I think Mangle would be ecstatic knowing that Foxy can dislocate himself and make himself into just as much of a mess as they can.
Now I’m just imagining a Foxy-Mangle amalgam… yikes.

So I used to work with my best friend and now i work in another office miles away but I do so miss her random sticky doodles that she would do and leave on my desk.
