Gabe, Jack, Hanzo, and Jesse getting a house with their s/o (just married)

readerwatch:

Gabe

  • It’ll be small, but not uncomfortably so. Just the right size for the WiFi to reach every inch of the house.
  • He’s practically living in the office of the house, he works so much. You leave coffee with hearts drawn on the cup at his desk every morning to lessen some of his stress.
  • The color theme is very monochromatic. There’s no bright colors except for some pops of red here and there on the pillows and curtains.
  • One bedroom, one bathroom. If there’s ever a need for more, you’d have to probably look towards getting another house.
  • Though there’s a lot of sharing of appliances, they’re all top notch. You two won’t have to worry about replacing sinks, microwaves, refrigerators, or toilets for a long time.

Jack

  • Green grass, backyard patio, and two stories. He’d make sure to take care of the lawn and help out with planning what to plant in front of the house.
  • He’s got the best looking grill ever to be found. Though he’s not the best at making food, he’ll insist on having a hamburger/ hot dog day every week.
  • There’s a large pool in the backyard. On some of those lazy days where you two want to relax, there’s also a hot tub complete with bubbles and color changing lights.
  • The master bedroom is huge. So is the bathtub and shower. The extra rooms in the house are turned into offices, but could easily be turned into a child’s bedroom should the need ever arise.

Hanzo

  • He wants the house to look perfect with  beautiful landscaping and architecture.
  • An elegant dragon statue in the middle of a koi pond would make Hanzo incredibly happy.
  • There’s absolutely no wearing shoes in the house. Please remove them before entering.
  • He wouldn’t care so much about the style of the house. He just wouldn’t want it to look like an eye sore.
  • The backyard would have an archery range in it just for Hanzo. It’d be incorporated into the landscaping. No random targets scattered around the yard.
  • He’d appreciate calming décor throughout the house. After all, he is a very tense man.
  • He wouldn’t mind the house having a jacuzzi or sauna.

McCree

  • A big ranch style house is ideal. He’d want a two story with lots of room to lounge around.
  • It’d have either a huge backyard/ frontyard, or plenty of acreage. He’d honestly want a horse to ride around his beautiful property.
  • Hikes throughout the property late in the day, he’ll pick wild sweet pea and stick it behind your ear after smelling the fragrant flower.
  • “Well now, darlin’, it’s just as sweet as you are.”
  • Wild flowers decorate the dinner table every day. Any time he’s out, he’ll bring back the prettiest ones he can find just for you.
  • There’s a fire pit in the backyard. He’ll drag you out on cold nights just to make s’mores and stargaze. He loves the smell of campfire smoke.

carefree-sparrow:

I wish people wouldn’t forget or be so blind to Hanzo’s distress in the Dragons short. It manages to built his entire character and gives us so much about his emotions.

Because no matter how tough and stoic Hanzo acts, every emotion he felt in that short was clear as day.

The man deprived himself of the future he spent his entire life being trained for, and it was maybe his first own choice, to exile himself. By killing Genji he had nothing left. No more family, no more honor, no more Clan and no more future. No more reason to live.

The only thing that kept him from killing himself was probably the mere refusal of an honorables death like the samurai he was taught to be, or maybe to keep on living for the Sake of Genji’s memory. Maybe he kept on living in hope that life itself would be his punishment, since he had nothing left.

In short, Hanzo was/is clearly suicidal but wouldn’t accept a dishonorable death, and must suffer from so many neuroses.

I wish people wouldn’t make a joke of that sometimes.

redarmy243:

Every time I think about HanMei I just think about how a cute, optimistic and positive scientist can soften the grumpy heart of a man who thinks he has nothing left and wishes to die, but to die an honorable death.

How she shows him through her affection and through everyone else’s care that there is indeed hope for him, and that he can forgive himself.

In return, how he shows her she is not alone, and how much she means to everyone. How much she means to him.

I just love this rarepair too much.

angelhart79:

No, no, nooooo! Sorry, but need to get this frustration out of me.

For TDAT I did a lot of research about ‘lord Fluff’ because I wanted to know what I would be dealing with. And especially his fluff thing. Honestly, I thought it was just some flashy decoration and the guy/demon was a bit extravagant.

Fortunately Rumiko Takashi has explained
what it actually is. And it is not a parasite. And it is not his tail!

It is a part of his body. BUT, it does
come off (see manga images after he is injured). When he transforms in his dog
form we can see it surrounding his right shoulder and moving over his back and
stomach. It surrounds him as it were (see the image – the anime image shows it
more clearly).

He can use it as an extra appendage.
Like a whip to slash out to someone or curl it around something or someone
to grab  and reel it in. Like he did in the tomb of his father where he
strangled Inuyasha with it.

Rumiko Takashi designed it at first to make him more
dashing, actually. To wear fur is a sign of wealth and defines ‘upper class’. But
in her drawings it came out a bit to fluffy. Instead of erasing it or alter it,
however, she kept it for it looked good on his character. And instead of just
decoration turned it into a part of his body when he transformed.

It grows as Sesshomaru’s power expands. You can see
this in the manga and anime. At the end it has grown significantly. And I
suppose that is where the confusion starts, because of the length it kind of
drags behind him (like a tail) and in Naraku’s body Kagome even holds on to it
for a moment. But again the manga and anime pictures show that it is definitely
not his tail. Even the color of the fluff compared to the tail is different.

So, please, please, please: Stop calling it his tail.
Thank you.

Because it can bleed and he can curl it and move it,
there have to be muscles, blood vessels and nerve endings in it. Which has made me
wonder what it would feel like. I thought of a snake I have held once. Muscles
rippling beneath some rubber feeling skin. Totally weird. I think it feels like
that. Only furry. Like one furry big muscle that he can use and manipulate to
his will. Like an extra limb.

Though it started out as a faulty puffy thing, I’m
glad Rumiko kept it. Cause, let’s face it, it suits him ^-^  He does look more dashing with it.

Sesshoumaru and Rin Official Info Translation Collection

inu-fanon:

@lettherebewisdomtalks sent me a collection of Japanese Twitter posts containing scans of official material talking about Sesshoumaru and Rin.  Since it is official material and some interview questions, I figured they were relevant to post here, and it’s easier than trying to post these long text pieces in a reply box.

image

[source] did not mention a source of this scan so it’s unknown who wrote this or where it came from.

Sesshoumaru is a man not concerned with ruminations of good and evil.  To achieve his goals, he has no qualms sacrificing others or resorting to murder.  And one other particular trait is his unusually elevated pride.  Thus he thoroughly despises plots involving manipulating others.  Conversely, he does not use others the way Naraku does.  He acts only for himself, and the grandeur in which Sesshoumaru refuses reliance on others could appropriately be referred to as “nobility”.
So for someone such as Sesshoumaru to carry the healing sword Tenseiga, it appeared a transformation was trying to assert itself.  When Sesshoumaru saved an unknown child, Rin, even his attendant, Jaken, was unable to hide his surprise at his unusual behavior.  The lonesome yet courageous Rin stimulated something in Sesshoumaru’s otherwise cool heart.

image

[source] does not provide a source, but it appears to be an interview answer from Narita Ken (Sesshoumaru’s voice actor)

– Do you think that Sesshoumaru saving Rin with Tenseiga was unusual behavior for him?
Narita: I think that he might have felt some sort of kindred spirit with Rin.  I feel like it was the first time he ever cared about anyone else.  I decided on my own that when he calls Rin’s name, to give it the feel of one calling on a disciple.

image

[source] says this is from an interview with Takahashi that appeared in the magazine “Stranger Sorento” in the 2015-04 issue.  “Stranger Sorento” ran a segment in every issue during that time called “Takahashi Rumiko Character box” that explored one of her characters each installment.  If anyone can find back copies of those magazines or other scans from these interviews, it would be greatly appreciated.

Takahashi: Sesshoumaru has a few of his own monologues, but Sesshoumaru’s follower Jaken ended up being a very important character for voicing most of his goals and motives.  Sesshoumaru’s actions are dictated by, quite simply, “I cannot abide by my esteemed daiyoukai father showing preferential treatment to my half-youkai younger brother (Inuyasha) rather than me, when I am a direct-line pure-blooded offspring.”  The readers understood that well enough, but in some circumstances I feel like they thought his situation was unfortunate.  So Sesshoumaru’s story in “Inuyasha” became one of “freeing himself from his father”.
– Thanks to meeting the human girl Rin, Sesshoumaru was able to learn the emotion of “Fear and sadness of losing someone precious to you: anger for someone’s sake other than your own” and finally matured into a powerful daiyoukai.
Takahashi:
When I initially introduced Rin, I was thinking that there would eventually be a part where Sesshoumaru was killed by a human in order to protect Rin, but as I continued writing I dropped that idea from my head.  I thought this would be an easily-understood impetus for Sesshoumaru’s limited emotions to start coming to the surface and mature the sword he inherited from his father.  I think it’s fun to have a character’s emotional state gradually change over the course of a long-running series.

[source] doesn’t cite a source in this tweet, but another page posted later that appears to be from the same place says it’s from the Wide-ban release of the manga.

Feelings awakened from the healing sword

When Sesshoumaru was healing from his injuries, he met a human girl called Rin.  Under normal circumstances Sesshoumaru would have paid her no mind.  However, due to his injuries he was unable to move, and as a result he ended up interacting with Rin.  Rin was attacked by wolves and killed.  Sesshoumaru initially thought to just leave her that way, but an image of her smiling face came to mind.  Sesshoumaru drew Tenseiga for the first time and restored Rin’s life.  Emotions that he had never felt before were beginning to stir in Sesshoumaru’s heart, which had never held a shred of interest in others, to say nothing of a powerless human girl.  Likely a large part of it was also simply a test of Tenseiga’s effect.  However, as the revived Rin travelled with him, Sesshoumaru’s actions with her gradually began to indicate that wasn’t the case.  Through his strength, Sesshoumaru’s neglected heart was gradually showing signs of growth.

image

[source] gives this as being from Wide-ban volume 28.

Emotions Sesshoumaru has never felt made to surface, his soul grows

Sesshoumaru steps into the Meidou in order to mature Tenseiga and grow Meidou Zangetsuha’s power.  He believes that by going there he can widen Meidou Zangetsuha’s circle, but he is forced to make an unexpected sacrifice.  The living are not supposed to set foot into the Meidou but he and Rin entered, and thanks to Sesshoumaru being a powerful youkai it had little effect on him, but Rin, being a mere human girl, lost her life.  Furthermore, even Tenseiga could not save Rin’s life.  For the first time in his life, Sesshoumaru felt incomparable grief and fear at losing something precious: the feeling of remorse.
Then, when faced with countless dead souls, he embraced a compassionate heart.  Holding Rin to his chest, when he purified the souls of the dead with Tenseiga, the Meidou created by Tenseiga widened.  Originally ruthlessly seeking only power, Sesshoumaru knew nothing of compassion.  But in the Meidou, Sesshoumaru learned both grief and compassion.  Tenseiga was able to mature by Sesshoumaru maturing himself and growing his soul.

[source] does not cite a source for these but they also appear to be from the Wide-ban, however they’re written as someone’s thoughts rather than a glossary summary.  It doesn’t say whose words these are.

The souls of the dead bound to that world were purified, so their dead
souls could pass on… This was because Sesshoumaru, faced with Rin’s
death, finally knew the grief and fear of losing something precious, and
was able to wield Tenseiga’s true power.  Thanks to that,
Tenseiga’s Meidou Zangetsuha grew and became closer to completion.

I think the story of Sesshoumaru’s journey and return from the Meidou was fairly important.  It was a story of Tenseiga, first of all.  By the end of it, Tenseiga had matured, meaning Sesshoumaru had matured as well… I feel like that means it was a significant story.

Snowball Fight

zarcake-writes:

In honor of Hanzo getting nailed with a snowball, have a small fic about playing in the snow. It’s silly and kind of crappy but seeing Hanzo getting hit with a snowball was just too perfect. Enjoy!

The surrounding area was covered in white. The snow was
cold, which isn’t a surprising thing. What was surprising was the five adult
agents playing in the snow. You knew these people, worked with them, fought
with them, protected them, you all would die for each other. You knew them all
to be serious and stern, cold and calculating. Yet here they were, in the cold
snow playing. Their laughs sounded echoed and the screams of amusement were
heard.

SUNMOON POKEDDEX DAY 11 – Favourite Normal Type: Drampa

A PRECIOUS NORMAL TYPE DRAGON. I have been waiting for one for years and Drampa is just perfect. It looks so gentle and fluffy and lazy. I kinda made a mix of goat, sloth and great anteater here. It’s a neat design, you can do a lot with it. The goat features were the first thing that came to my mind and I personally like the idea of it having a goat face.

I got the day off came home and was torn between wanting to draw and game. So I compromised and drew between matches on Overwatch. Just fast pencil sketches kinda fun to do between matches actually. And if I stressed with drawing there was a match, if I was stressed after a match there was sketching to distract lol.

segadores-y-soldados:

So @kerrigore asked a question about Necropolis (something about the layout) and I made a custom game to wander around and take a look and discovered something entirely unrelated??

There appears to be an “ancient” image set of the three “old soldiers” – Ana on the left, then Soldier: 76, then Reaper facing them – all throughout Necropolis.

image

The first set of people are a woman and man, both facing the same direction.  They are both wearing white and blue.  The man appears to have an implied “deshret” (Lower Egypt) crown.  It is not colored.

This appears to be Ana and Soldier: 76  (“decrowned” as a “fallen commander”).

image

The third man is facing them.  He wears a “double feathers” crown, representing Amun or Amun-Ra, considered “the king of the gods.”  However, the crown is mostly black and blue, with black being a color that represents death.  He holds what looks to be a wheat stalk.  Wheat was a symbol of Osiris, god of the dead, and could represent resurrection (“life growing from death”).

Considering Gabriel’s surname means “kings,” and he’s kinda, well, undead, this seems pretty straightforward.

image

This image is directly behind the computers in Ana’s hideout.  The computers show Reaper, as well as locations where he has been.

And before people are like, “It’s just a coincidence!” Blizzard put in another little “character easter egg” in their like, one other “ancient Egyptian art” image.

image

Feathers rain from above!

You can find “Pharah” on the Temple of Anubis too.

Hadn’t seen anyone mention this, figured I’d post some of my pics on it.
