chapter 3 of Smile is about a third of the way done! I hope to add some more later today and tomorrow so it’ll finally be done 😌

mccree and tracer are on a mission involving some strange activity at an abandoned overwatch watchpoint. they decide to check out the old security room to see if they can catch anything on cameras. tracer manages to pull up some old footage. it’s just a static view of one room until the camera rotates rapidly and the image of a woman pulls up. she smirks and winks, pursing her lips in a mock kiss as her finger presses over the camera view before the feed turns to pure fuzz.
lena’s trying to find more footage of the woman, trying to find out who that was and what she was doing, asking questions out loud. When she realizes McCree isn’t answering her, she turns to find him standing there completely mesmerized and focused on the static-filled screen like 😍😍😍😍😍 and she’s sure hearts would be floating out of McCree if they could. She has to resist the urge to give him an earful when he asks if they can keep the copy of the footage. y’know, for evidence.
is there a Mcsombra Week? and if there is one, will there be one again this year? 👀 and if so…when is it?
I just wanna know because with my fleeting muse, I really want to be prepared n stuff. I hope who ever decides the prompts n stuff will be merciful and give me like a month+ in advance to prepare 😭😭😭

Honestly, the first time Sombra comes upon McCree, she thinks he’s just a horse. Come to inspect, the man ‘riding’ the horse doesn’t look like he’s positioned right and also he’s shirtless and oh no this is a centaur??
Sombra isn’t one to doubt her senses but this is pretty otherworldly. Halfway through her stunned questions and McCree’s guarded attitude, she asks him to sit or lay or whatever horses to so she doesn’t have to keep cranking her neck back to look him in the eyes.
This amuses him enough to obey, so now she’s kind of just going over his entire form. Somewhat at eye level, McCree asks her for her name. Sombra can barely look away from the sable colored coat and dark line of hair going down along his spine to answer but she does.
After a moment, Sombra asks to touch him. This gives McCree pause before asking why. Truly, this is nothing Sombra has experienced before, seeing the upper body of a man and the lower half of horse. She just has to make sure he’s real.
McCree lets her, first his shoulder and hand, then the fur along his back by the front foreleg. After a while, Sombra has to sit down. Just to rest, she tells him, but she really needs a moment to take in his simple existence.

another fun idea: Genji and Sombra have been seeing each other for long enough Sombra feels comfortable bringing Genji back to her hideout. Genji immediately finds her teddy bear and Sombra gets defensive and tries to play it off, but Genji just holds it close and says “Dont you dare. I love him.”
Later on Genji admits he used to sleep with a stuffed toy too. He had a really old worn out Pachimari that he kept up until his death, and sometimes he still misses it. He has a replacement, but it’s not quite the same.
Then Sombra shows up with it one day and when Genji asks how she got it, she just says, “Your brother isn’t the only one that knows how to break into your house.”

If there were ever a reason to hate Talon agents even more, today would be that day. Now she sat in a small briefing room with both the giant, talking gorilla and the “mysterious” Soldier 76, going over her first and more than likely last mission off of base.
“¿Cuál es la problema?” Sombra leaned back in her chair, flinching as she did so, the dull ache in her side suddenly flaring to a sharp pain. “I got what you needed. Mission complete,no?”
76 leaned against the table and sighed – a worn, raspy sound. “What you did was reckless. McCree’s not a kid. He can handle himself.”
She didn’t even need to put effort into the conversation to know what the outcome would be. She inspected her nails. “I’m not saying he can’t. I just did it because I felt like it.” Sombra’s shoulders twitched in a small shrug. “You should be happy – doesn’t this mean I’m willing to risk my life for teammates? Comradery and all that good stuff?”
The worn leather of his jacket cracked as 76 approached her. “Risking your life unnecessarily will only hinder the mission. I don’t know how your buddies handled things in Talon.” A thick, gloved finger pressed down onto the arm of her chair, emphasizing his every word with a hollow ‘thump’. “But I’m telling you now, that isn’t how things work here.”
“Soldier 76, please,” came the voice of the scientist. Winston cleared his throat and looked to Sombra, a steady frown on his broad face. She didn’t blame him – she’d be pretty mad too if the person who reverse engineered her technology was to wind up on her ‘team’. Probably.
“In light of what’s happened, Miss Sombra, we feel it’s best that you’re grounded for any future missions until further notice.”

Uuugghh i tried so hard to edit this picture into something nice but i just can’t be bothered to try anymore. It’s really a hit and miss for me with OW models in getting it to lookg decent. Hanzo x Sombra:
Considering the two are quite opposite, the love that’s grown between them is stronger then can be
Honestly, they didn’t like each other at all at first
Sombra was too loud and sassy for his type, and Hanzo was much too serious. She was positive he had a stick stuck up his ass, from his daily attitude
And yet, when the two were forced into a mission together, they found the others skills to unique and useful
Which led to the spark of respect. And that was all that was needed to ignite the beginning of their love
Sombra loves to tease Hanzo, both physically and verbally
Its not anything hurtful: but the fact that Hanzo gets so disgruntled when called cute always makes her giggle
Despite loving to sleep in, during the work week Sombra will always get up to have breakfast with Hanzo
While he would never eat breakfast alone, he always wakes up earlier then usual to cook for the two of them
Sombra loves crawling into his lap while he’s meditating to distract him, usually by playing with the little tufts of grey hair on his head, or by pressing kisses across his face
One time she ended up braiding his hair, and to her surprise he wore it all day
Hanzo secretly loves the way Sombra always runs and literally jumps at him when he comes home. He’ll catch her and she’ll be wrapped around him like a little monkey
Its very different for Sombra to have someone who worries over her the way Hanzo does, and sometimes they get into arguments about it, but Sombra always manages to worm her way back into his good books
Although she tries to pretend she’s not as invested, one time Sombra had a break down when she thought Hanzo was getting ready to break up with her
When Hanzo learned of it, he took her hands into his and pressed a kiss to each
He then told her that his love for her was like the flow of time: endless. Of course he wasn’t leaving her
Whenever it gets cold, she likes to press her freezing feet to his in the middle of the night and usually scares him
Sometimes when she gets grumpy, Hanzo will deliberately make mistakes, like bump into a counter or table just to see if she’ll smile
On her birthday, Hanzo took her to her home town and watched the sunset with her by the waves, and she blew out the candle on a cupcake he’d made for her
Sombra tries to make sushi for him, just because she knows he loves California rolls, and she fucks up every time. He still eats it anyway though and tells her its delicious
Once he had a nightmare so bad that he started crying. It was the first time she’d ever seen him cry, and she stayed up all night stroking his hair and humming soft chants to him to drive away the nightmares
Sombra taught Hanzo how to play goldfish on her computer and he stayed there for an entire week once. She ended up buying him a tablet
Hanzo has two secret Instagram pages he doesn’t know about, one for paintings he makes that Sombra feels the world should see
And another that she fills with sexy photos of him, wanting to brag to the world about her boyfriend
When one of Sombra’s old clients from her hacking business called her worthless, Hanzo narrowly missed shooting his head before telling him that a man who’s value was as low as the dirt he walks on should not speak to a lady as perfect as Sombra
Sombra loves to give Hanzo noogies in front of his brother
Sometimes when Sombra is too sleepy, Hanzo will sit down and comb out her hair for her while she sips coffee and struggles to wake up
I tried out a bit more traditional comic rendering style for this piece, as I thought it would go really well with all the metal and because I wanted to try something new from my colouring classes. I am quite pleased with the result.

mine craft seems like a good thing for youngsters actually. it’s creative and non violent and social to a degree. do they do a good job making sure it is safe

so even though i know that people don’t actually care this much, this fact is a little true! but fundamentally false! Gather around, gals and pals, for the story of how minecraft was inadvertently used to power the biggest DDOS attack in history (under the cut, because this is quite the long story!)
