Man human imprinting is crazy. My friend’s roomba zoomed by me and I got this intense urge to reach down and pat it. Like it’s just a machine? But it’s a good boy? It spends all day cleaning and sleeping and exploring the house and never complains and it’s just so good little robot? Pet robot?? Pet the robot????? Why am I like this???
When I bought my roomba the lady at the store told me that if it breaks within warranty and I send it back to the manufacturer, I can request that they fix and send back the same roomba instead of just sending back a new one. I gave her a confused look and she explained that people get attached to Their Roomba and don’t want them to just be replaced because they’re like part of the family. Humans are pretty great.
We’ve had a roomba since they were first released, like, what.. 20 years ago? It hasn’t worked in close to 10 years now, probably, and kind of just hangs out in my aunt’s room on the dock, cozy under a blanket pile in the corner of her room. It’s not covered or hidden, you can clearly see it peaking it’s little roomba nose out from under the blankets…
and yet the look on my aunt’s face when my brother was helping her move furniture round the room and suggested she throw it out was as incredulous as it would be if he’d suggested we throw out the CAT.
Her words? “Why?! He’s not hurting anyone hanging out under the blankets!”

In the off-chance that a Spyro Remastered series is made — I thought it would be cool to have a “classic” style Cynder as an extra playable character much like Coco.
Though arguably it wouldn’t make sense for Cynder to be in the classic Spyro games, I just thought it would be cool. So here’s classic Coco and Cynder.
Finally done. Didn’t turn out too bad either. Gave Sparx a bit more detail in his design based off of real dragonflies. A pretty fun project that I’m happy with.
I’ve been talking with a few fandom
people lately about comments they’ve received on their fic. One writer felt so
badly about the feedback they were ready to delete their AO3 account.
Because of fucking comments.
“I love this but here’s how you’ve failed me…” comments.
“I love this but there wasn’t
enough sex,” comments.
“I love this but here’s how
the plot went all wrong,” comments.
“I love this except you didn’t write me the perfect thing I
wanted and you were meant to know, so I’m going to shit in your kitchen,”
comments.
How god damn dare.
How dare anyone come into your home and stink the place up with their
cruelties.
No one has the right to say one
peeping word to you about things you love if what they say makes you sad,
ashamed, or hopeless.
No one ever ever ever has the right to take away your joy
with their pissy “honesty.”
The world sucks. There’s cancer in
it, guns, depression, difficult choices to make about money, religion, family,
jobs.
Fan fiction is many things and one
of those things is an oasis from pain. A place to create your own happiness,
find community. No one has the right to damage that for you.
No one.
No one.
One of the writers I’ve been
talking with said they wanted to stop writing after some of the negative
comments they got. This writer never asked for critique. Very few fan fic
writers do. Even when they do we
don’t “help” them when our critique hurts them. At no time is our
goal ever, ever to cause someone to
question their joy.
If you think critiquing means
telling someone what “they did wrong,” you are wrong. You are wrong. You.
When we praise what a writer does well not only do they improve just as much, they write more. If we
really want to “help a writer get better” that’s how we do it.
That’s it. That’s the secret.
If you’re one of the writers who
get or got crappy comments know this:
Any critique that makes you want to
stop writing is shit critique.
So fuck
that noise. Fuck it right in the fucking ear.
Delete negative
comments. Delete them. You wouldn’t leave a stranger’s shit on your kitchen
floor, well your AO3 or Tumblr is your online home. Keep it as tidy as you want it to be. Delete any words that
give you an empty-in-the-belly feel about your writing because those words are wrong. Unfollow anyone who’s “just
being honest.”
If someone
else’s words stop yours, those words are wrong. Ignore them. Delete them. Laugh
at them. When commenters say cruel things, they want their words to stop you
from doing what you’re doing. Don’t.
Keep
writing.
Keep.
Writing.
Do it for us, because we want your
words, we want your joy, we—and the world—sorely needs that joy.
In lieu of the new tumblr settings, can I make yet another plea with those of you who read fics and consume art on tumblr to please reblog them?
Fics and art will die on a creator’s dash if they aren’t reblogged. It’s never been more true than now.
If you want to keep receiving content from creators, reblog the the content. If it’s something you enjoyed? Reblog it. It’s not hard. I am going to make a point to reblog everything I read from now on. (With the proper tags of course), as well as all the art that I see on my dash.
I cannot make it simpler. Posts WILL die unless they’re reblogged. No one will see your ‘like’. Your like is a bookmark for YOU to find it later. Your reblog means the world to a creator because it means you are willing to go the little extra distance and recommend this to your followers.

cause back when im just a teenage weeb its just….simple……., the tattoo mark to his story line is somehow “natural born” on him, around 10 when he unknowingly activates his fire ability, it starts to appear on his body everytime he goes a little “overheated” in fights, near 20s the tattoo seems full showing and permanent red, it also glows when activate, also still visiable ontop when black armor covers his skin.

What makes this even more epic is that Igarashi Takuya directed both Ouran High School Host ClubandBungo Stray Dogs! Also, the incredible Miyano Mamoru is the seiyuu for Tamaki Suou in Ouran and Dazai Osamu in BSD.
