Who said “I love you” first
It takes them very long to say it but eventually it’s Reaper who says it, even if it’s more circumstantial than anything. It’s not ‘I love you’ more than it is ‘I’m not going to let a damn thing happen to you’ and from Reaper, that’s practically an ‘I love you’.
Who would have the other’s picture as their phone background
They don’t carry phones on them due to work but Reaper does have a small photo of her taped to his mirror – the one sentimental item he’ll allow himself.
Who buys the other cheesy gifts
Neither are the type and Widowmaker and Reaper have no need or desire to receive gifts. However, the one thing that Reaper did that could be considered ‘cheesy’ was to offer to get Widowmaker clearance to head off base to visit Gérard’s gravesite. He stood far away while he did so. He’d visited the grave himself before he joined Talon so he wanted to give Amélie privacy and some time alone. She thanks him but she really did find the gesture rather generous.
Who initiated the first kiss
Widowmaker. She kisses him through the mask, knowing that he will remove it if he so wishes. The first time he does take it off, she merely touches his face, muttering something he can’t understand before she kisses him again, this time with Reaper reciprocating.
Who kisses the other awake in the morning
Reaper gets rest differently than others and Widowmaker doesn’t need much sleep. The morning brings a quick kiss and lingering touch to one another’s faces before they separate.
Who starts tickle fights
Neither have the ability to be ticklish any longer, but Reaper does like to let the claws of his gloves rake down her back when they’re lying together. He’s able to get a reaction out of her that way.
Who asks who if they can join the other in the shower
There is no asking involved once their relationship reaches a certain level of intimacy and trust. Reaper doesn’t normally like letting people stare at him but Amélie literally can’t give a damn, so he allows it.
Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch
Widowmaker doesn’t know if Reaper eats – she’s never seen him eating. But Reaper will drop off some food from the mess when he knows Widowmaker has skipped meal in favor of staying at the shooting range. She hates the stuff, more so for how it looks than tastes and he’ll mutter that if he could fly to France and get her food from there, maybe he would. But he can’t, so she has to deal.
Who was nervous and shy on the first date
Neither, though Reaper was even more quiet than he usually is. Reaper can’t really head out in public without rousing fear and panic so their outings usually take place during missions where he can wear a full disguise, much to the ignorance of their superiors. They’re focused on the mission, of course, but it’s the closest thing they have to do something together off base.
Who kills/takes out the spiders
Reaper would prefer to just crush them even if he couldn’t care less but Widowmaker likes to leave them be – they fascinate her.
Who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk
Neither can get drunk anymore but Widowmaker does appreciate a good wine. Reaper will pour her glass after glass, and in a rare bout of light teasing, muse and wonder how long it’ll be before she passes out. “I may not get drunk but you can still destroy my liver.” It’s a strange way of flirting between these two.
