Omg this is really cute; it’s very much a request suited for humor and such but I decided to go with a more fluffy approach to it! Thanks so much for the cute lil late happy birthday note and the request and I hope you like this!!! ❤
Noctis
It was Noctis’ idea to cuddle on the couch together and watch a random movie. You knew it was his way of showing affection when he didn’t want to be bold about it, so of course, you agreed.
“You better not fall asleep, Y/N.” He warned, his blue eyes teasing. You were always falling asleep whenever he showed you these movies, although you told him on more than one occasion that maybe he should just choose better films.
This time, however, you were quick to promise him that you’d lay awake, even though you could already feel your eyelids heavy with fatigue. With Noctis’ arm warm and snug around you and your head propped on his shoulder, you were sleepy and comfortable.
“Y/N, you better not be falling asleep,” Noctis warned. You could still hear the teasing edge despite his low voice.
Now that he said it again, you knew you had no other choice but to take a nap. Yawning, you wasted no time in shifting forward and tossing your head on his lap, shifting a little to get comfortable. You heard the surprised grunt from Noctis but didn’t even raise your head, merely closing your eyes.
“Babe? Wha-” His voice was both incredulous and amused at once; your absolute absurdity was always amusing to him.
“Shush. You’re my bed now.” You managed through a yawn, already drifting to sleep.
A chuckle escaped his lips, and you were faintly aware of his warm hand gently stroking your hair. He was smiling down at you, nothing but love and adoration in his gaze.
“Gods, why are you so damn cute?” He mumbled, one thumb stroking your cheek.
“Just got lucky, I s’pose.” You managed, your sleepy mumbles even cuter than last time. Noctis couldn’t help but chuckle again, his heart swelling at the sight of you drifting off to sleep in his lap.
These were the moments that Noctis loved–those moments when you two were both locked in your own little world together, not having to worry about anything but each other.
Prompto
It had been a long day; you were tired, fussy, and wanted nothing more than your boyfriend’s company and a quiet evening. Luckily for you, Prompto was already home when you got back. He was lounging on your couch with one leg crossed over the other as he shifted through the day’s photos. You could hear his occasional mumbles, saying things like “Good lighting…” or “Ew, not that one…” and occasionally, “Wow, Y/N’s gonna love this one!”
His tongue was sticking out a little bit, his brows furrowed and gaze locked in a focused glare as he gazed at his camera. He didn’t notice you until you were only a few feet away, and when he did, his face lit up and his camera was discarded to the couch’s side table within seconds.
“Babe! How was your day?” His voice was so bright and welcoming that you simply wanted to fall into his open arms and cry.
Rather than answer, you tossed yourself right onto Prompto, nuzzling your face in his chest and wrapping your arms around him with a sleepy pout. Prompto’s arms immediately wrapped around you, a reflex he had developed whenever you were close.
“You okay, Y/N?” He asked, concern crossing his features.
“No.” You answered, voice muffled. “I’m tired…” You sighed, breathing in his comforting scent. You raised your tired eyes, looking at him sleepily. “Can you be my bed, Prom?”
His freckled face was slightly surprised and flushed from a blush, but the longer he looked at your sleepy features, the more he seemed to melt from how cute you were. “Of course,” He smiled, his tone soft, “But only if I can be yours!” He grinned, reaching forward and pulling you further up.
A shriek of laughter escaped you as he tugged you even closer, both his arms and legs practically wrapping around you as he laughed, his cornflower blue eyes bright and his smile warm. He muffled your laughter with a well-placed kiss and held you even closer.
Once your laughter had died down and you relaxed once again, he began to hum, his warm voice lulling you to sleep in minutes. Prompto’s humming died down not long after you fell asleep, and with your warmth and slow breathing, he, too, was asleep.
Gladio
Gladio had a habit of taking up the entire bed whenever he read in it. It usually didn’t bug you, in fact, you usually loved it. However, today was different. You were tired, coming down with a cold, and had a long day at work. All you wanted was to sleep, and with your massively muscular boyfriend taking up the entire bed, it was either showing your displeasure or sleeping on the couch and the couch was definitely out of the picture.
You made sure Gladio knew you were coming. You stomped your way to the bedroom, loudly threw your bag on the dresser, and paid no mind to the amused glance you earned from him.
Sighing, you paused next to the bed, taking in Gladio’s relaxed posture and thick book before you promptly threw yourself right on top of him, earning a loud “Oof!”
You kind of regretted it; he wasn’t a very soft person. Still, you had to go with your actions. You shifted and threw yourself around on him, listening to his uncomfortable grunts with satisfaction before finally settling in a fairly comfortable position. Your head was resting on his chest, your arms cushioning it easily with your legs intermingled with his own.
“Uh, babe?” Gladio’s deep voice was confused. “What are you doing?”
You managed a sleepy, disgruntled glance at him, “It seems my bed is taken. So now, you’re my damn bed, Gladio.”
You put your head back down, your entire body shaking as you felt his muffled laughter. He was chuckling as he replied, “Long day, babe?” He asked, voice still shaking in amusement.
“You have no idea.”
He chuckled again, one hand absentmindedly running through your hair. You were almost mad at how soothing the action was. “Want me to read to you?” He asked, a knowing look in his eyes.
You tried not to look at him as you nodded wordlessly. He always knew what to do to make you feel better.
“Alright,” You felt his chest move as he ducked down to place a small kiss on your head before clearing his throat, “‘In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole…’”
You were asleep within minutes.
Ignis
You were sitting next to Ignis at the kitchen table. It was long past midnight; he was up going over last-minute documents for work. You had no real reason to be sitting next to him so late, but you weren’t very fond of letting him stay up so late alone.
It was only after your fiftieth yawn that Ignis spoke up. “Darling, go to bed,” his eyes were soft despite the firm tone in his voice.
You yawned again, barely covering your mouth as you tried to speak. “No-I-I’m fine!” You waved him off, leaning forward to rest your head on your hand.
He sighed, placing the papers down and crossing his arms. “I’ll not have you being sleep deprived on my watch.”
You frowned, “I’m not going to bed. You know I worry when you’re up so late doing all this alone…”
“I’ll be fine, dear. Remember, I managed all those years without you,” He pointed out, giving you a small smile.
Your frown grew, “Maybe, but I don’t want you to be alone with this for any longer.” You were firm as you spoke, sitting up and crossing your arms.
His gaze softened even more and he couldn’t help but see the same kindness that drew him to you in the first place. “Darling, I’m fine. Go to bed. Please.” Seeing you so tired because of him hurt a little, and at this point, he could only beg for you to go to sleep.
You paused before relenting. “…Fine.” You began to leave the kitchen, only to pause at the doorway as a sudden idea popped in your head. Turning on your heel, you walked right back to Ignis, immediately draping yourself all over him.
“Oof–dear, what on Earth–”
“You told me to go to bed and I’m going to bed. You’re my new bed from now on.”
“Y/N, this is absolutely childish–”
“I don’t care.”
“Darling–” He cut himself off with a sigh, “Alright, fine.” He immediately stood up, catching you off guard and throwing your balance off. Rather than let you fall, Ignis caught you, lifting you up in his arms with ease. “Off to bed, then.”
“Wha–Ignis! Put me down!”
“No. It seems I can’t trust you to go to bed alone, so we’ll just have to do it together.” His voice was rather calm as he spoke, but from your little perch in his arms, you saw the amusement on his face. He knew he had lost, but at least he was a good sport about it.
You couldn’t help but smile, knowing you’ve won. Wrapping your arms around his neck, you let a smug little smile drift across your lips as you rested your head on his chest. “That’s all I wanted.”
