Reuben was an easy baby, to put it simply. He didn’t fuss a lot and wasn’t difficult to handle. Of course, he kept Ashe up all night as an infant, which is where B.O.B. came in for some relief. Mostly, he gnawed on his mother’s or B.O.B.’s fingers with his pink gums. As a toddler, he’s content to play by himself and his little green toy soldiers. Other times, he just wants to sit in Ashe’s lap as she maps out their next heist. However, the only place he likes to fall asleep is on Ashe’s chest, so she’ll hold him until he’s out like a light then lay him down.
Ashe’s first thought, especially after giving birth, is ‘what did I get myself into’. Initially taking care of Reuben is frustrating but Ashe figures it out soon enough, especially with B.O.B.’s help. She adjusts to feeding him late at night and actually starts to accept that her son is a cute little thing, even though he will bite her boob every once in a while.
When he hits two years and onwards, he’s as easy as a Sunday morning. It’s almost strange how well Ashe takes to having a kid, but he does well to listen to his mother. There’s a part of her that can’t believe she hit the jackpot with Reuben, but she does well to take care of his needs and support him in all that he does.
