What do you think everyone’s thoughts would be if they’d (somehow) met young Rose? And what would Rose think of them?

Good question. I think at first, most would be surprised that Rose’s mother is Sombra. With how cheeky and curt the woman can be, Rose is completely the opposite. She’s laid back and minds her manners. She’s mostly only mischevious and really curious in her younger years before she settles down in her teens.

Both Sombra and McCree would want to keep any member of Talon far away from Rose as possible, mostly because they both agree that they’re capable of hurting Rose and using her as leverage against them if they cross paths. The last thing they want is to put her in any danger.

I’m sure most of Talon would see her as just another child (and not worth their time) or someone who can be used to coerce their rogue hacker to comply with their whims. Rose would find them fascinating (interesting to look at) but quickly change her opinion once she knew they weren’t out to be friends with her. Reaper would most likely remain silent about the girl, still wondering how and why the ingrate and the brat got together long enough to have a kid, but perhaps he’d feel a bit sad about just how much Rose resembles Jesse and dealing with those memories.

As for most of Jesse’s acquiantances and friends, at least from Overwatch, I can see most, if not all of them being friendly toward Rose – she’s just a child, after all. They’d especially be glad that she turned out more like McCree than Sombra. I could see Rose admiring Pharah: she respects her strength and her bravery. However, beyond being somewhat scared of Soldier 76, Rose has a healthy admiration for everyone. Likewise, most are delighted to meet her, eagerly telling her about the dumb things her father has done when he was younger (much to McCree’s chagrin).

The other person who might possibly meet Rose would be Ashe and BOB. By this time, Ashe and McCree have a healthy respect and amount of distance between them. McCree always wanted to make up with Ashe but she took his leavings from Deadlock to heart too much to truly forgive him. Even so, meeting McCree’s spawn does have the Deadlock leader lifting her eyebrows. She definitely has no maternal instinct to speak of and thinks kids are noisy and smelly…but Rose just seems so enamored by her that she can’t help but soften up. Just a bit. She’ll even have BOB carry the girl around on his shoulders, much to Rose’s delight.

Rose thinks Señora Ashe is beautiful and looks cool, just like her mami and papi. Later on, she especially loves Ashe’s shotgun – she thinks it’s badass. She might not understand why Ashe and her dad had a falling out (neither of them talk about it) but she knows that she really admires Ashe’s outlook on life.
