For some reason, I imagine them coming across this song before their relationship crossed over into more serious waters.

I can see McCree letting the song play because he personally thinks it sounds nice. He invites Sombra to dance with him, because sometimes he’s random and just wants to enjoy a moment with her. Sombra does so, head against his chest while she listens to the lyrics. When she realizes the words, she can’t help but tease him, wondering if the lyrics reflect some strange fantasy of his. It doesn’t sound like them at all, let alone her.

In which he teases her back, telling her not to be so damn critical over everything – they’re just dancing. They continue to dance, but McCree can’t help but quietly ask her what’s so wrong with wanting the things described in the song with her? 

It’s a question that goes unanswered but it runs through both of their minds as they dance the rest of the song in silence.
