I don’t know about you, but don’t you get annoyed when people tag a whole bunch of unrelated stuff to their posts? Like if your searching for McSombra art and you still get a bunch of Symbra, McHanzo or whatever posts? No hate on those ships, I just feel like if I search for a certain ship all of these other ships shouldn’t be in the tag as well.

Uh, yes! It’s common courtesy to not tag something that isn’t related. I notice a lot of people do this just to get more views (and worse – sometimes to just piss people off).

 It’s like people who tag solo fanart of a character with ship names…it just makes it so aggravating to find any decent artwork without seeing a romantic/sexual connotation anywhere. Again, I think most artists do it for views on their piece or they don’t want ppl to tag their work with other ships…I dunno?

Some people are chill if you ask ‘hey can you pls untag ‘X’, thanks’ while others are major asshats about it. 

This is why I never tag my ship opinion posts with the ship name…it’s just goddamn rude and no one wants to go into their otp tag to see ‘LOL I HATE THIS SHIP’ kind of posts…ESPECIALLY if it’s a rare pair with hardly any content as it is.

Like, I guess I’m okay if it’s supposed to relate to a multitude of ships like ‘Reblog if you love all ships no matter what’ but eh. Those kinds of posts just clog up the search, imo.
