If there is a McCree short at blizzcon I really want them to reveal that McCree is actually really smart and just plays dumb so people underestimate him. I think behind the cowboy snark he’s got to be like a tactical genius. When he was 17 he did something impressive enough to make a veteran special forces commander go “I want this kid to work for me” then he becomes that commander’s right hand man… there’s no way he’s as dumb as Moira thinks he is.

Everyone in Overwatch (the game) is a gifted with something, even Junkrat, who’s an expert with explosives, so yeah, I’m sure Reyes did see something in McCree that stood out from any other Deadlock members they arrested that day. 

But you’re also talking about Moira, who by default, is smarter than every (known) member of Blackwatch, lol. Of course she thinks he’s a fool…that’s just her personality. I’m sure she knows that he’s no idiot, he’s made it out alive so far. But sometimes there are things that come out of his mouth that leave her wondering how much longer she’ll have to keep interacting with the man.
