The new interactions (especially McCree’s) makes me think that he’s never really gotten over the loss of his arm. It’d even explain why he seems to have it covered most of the time via his serape.

i’d like to think that further down the line of their relationship, maybe when they trust one another a lot more, Sombra likes to make him feel good by just making sure she lets him know that she is never bothered by it. She may not understand how he feels completely (she had things added willingly to her body, not taken) but she knows how it can feel to be changed. she touches his prosthetic more, holds his left hand more often, and lifts his metal hand to cup her face more. It’s something that is just wholly McCree and she adores it. she always gauges his reactions to this, sometimes he doesn’t like it, but I like to think that Sombra would try and remind him that she loves all of him, not just bits and pieces.
