I wasn’t sure to
post this.Especially because i’m not so sure about my way of explain
myself cause english is not my language. And i don’t know how this
will be take from people. In the end it is my thought don’t want
impose myself or nothing but i feel i need to do this. May it will
not be read by many people or be reblog a lot but i want to let this
out of my chest because i feel Gladio deserve so much more.

So basically i had
enought of who say Gladio is not important as the others, that he can
be or not in the game, it make no difference, that he have to die and
so on. First of all you can like or dislike a character we are
people, all with different taste and different minds. In face of
respect,  think that may what you dislike is loved with the same
passion and intensity by someonelse the way you love your personal
favourite character. That be said. Who said that make no different if
he is in game or not  just please do a favor to yourself and shut up.
Let out the fact that he is basically the driving force behind the
group, cause if he wasn’t there the others probably will stay at
Insomnia’s Gates. He is the one that
fucking save your royal ass  like 5 times in 5 seconds during the
Titan quest.He is the one that
put himself up for defend the others, like always. He is the one that
is hard on himself first, for reach the best of himself, and than
push others to try to arrive to their best too. He is the one that
keep team going  most of the time. Most important thing: He is the
ONLY ONE that can make Noctis do his best and keep going on. Gladio
is the one that face Noctis and make him take out the best in
himself. When Gladio ask Noctis always reply put all of him in it
because Gladio ask him to. You can like or dislike that he have to
kick Noct’s ass in the process but rainbow and cuddling not always
make you arrive to the finish. Think that ‘tough love’ isn’t good is
very naive.Expecially talking about a brotherhood that is like: ‘A
close friend of Noctis who is closer to him than a true brother.’.

And
this is  pretty much the bound between them: No matter the shit they
go against, they always find a way to go
back to each
other. They are both stubborn
and proud, but they can’t stand without each other. Gladio is Noctis
pillar. Gladio
is the only one that always find the way of put Noct on his feet.
Without him goodbye Noct ’s will. Last thing: I would like people
just stop of be so superficial about Gladio. Sure you put yourself in
the main character feelings, or in the feelings of characters that
are clearly reader. Complex character, that isn’t easy to be read
unless you put yourself in the mind of , are easily put down or
categorize or overlooked. Gladio is probably the most complex
character in this game. You can easily lost him by the way, if you
look at him only in surface, like: as the great peace of meat , the
one that is rude, the one that go all Cup noodle, the one that is a
jerk and so on. There are so many point in the game when he is the
one that speak in favor of another character. Like now in my mind
there is that moment  in Lestallum, when Prompto speak about how girl
are self-assured, and Noct mock him. Gladio say somenthing like: “Let
the boy have peace i’m sure he will find someone that like him.” or
on the Royal Vessel Gladio encourage Prompto
on invite Cindy on board. Gladio do this A LOT. Even in fight he
always encourage his brothers. And
another thing just the last. People forget that Gladio is not only a
brother he is a mentor too. He has the most difficul task on Noct’s ,
may you think yep shield ,and i say well sure but not only that. See
the others are friends, brothers, Gladio is the master too. Master
and brother, he is both, and when the master has to come out and kick
Noct’s ass would you think that the heart of the brother isn’t
suffering? Of course it does and a lot, but at the same time duty has
to be done, shield isn’t there just for protection.He can’t afford to
be weak to let space to uncertainty. Or his king will suffer from
that.So the brother step back when it is  needed. Gladio is a
wondefull character a GREAT character. If you don’t want to give him
love, don’t worry we Gladio’s fans take care of it, at least give him
your respect.
STOP
say SHIT, try to play from another point of view because you just
haven’t take the character in the right light. And
then if you keep your mind about him, fine, but at least don’t sell
our favourite character as he is nothing. Have respect.
