I’m confused if requests are open or not but if they are on, could I ask for some Ignis comforting his fem!s/o who is sad? Or maybe cutely sharing a dessert to lift her mood?

Ignis knew something was bothering you the moment you texted him around mid day. It wasn’t anything particular that you had said. It was the fact that, even though your reply was normal, he could just tell that you were no longer your bright cheerful self. Something was upsetting you, and it made his brows knit with worry. 

He cleared his schedule, doing everything he could to be sure to be home before you arrived. And when you pushed open the door and sighed heavily, as if the weight of the entire world was on your shoulders, he called to you.

“Darling.” 

“Ignis?!” you gasped his name, startled that he was there before you. 

“Come here,” and he slowly opened his arms for you, humming softly as you gently wrapped your arms about his torso. He pet his fingers slowly through your hair, kissing the crown of your head. “There, now. I know something is troubling you Darling. What is it?”

“I’m just–” he frowned as you sighed and nuzzled into him a bit more. “–sad.”

“I see, and what can I do to make you feel better Darling?”

“Stay.”

He smiled, huffing out a little laugh at that. “Of course. Come with me.” 

Gently lacing your fingers together he lead you back to the bedroom, pausing at the bedside to face you. He smiled gently as he reached up to cup your cheek, petting his thumb slowly against your skin, admiring the blush that suddenly warmed your face.

“All we are going to do Darling is rest,” he said softly, guiding you to gently lie down, and he followed in after you, moving so that your head rested against his chest. He pressed his nose into your hair as you nuzzled into him, and took a deep breath.

“When you feel up to talking about whatever is bothering you, I will be more than happy to listen.” he whispered into your hair, fingers gently petting slow odd shapes on your back. “I love you, Darling, never forget that.”
