Hi there, I know this hasn’t been brought up in a little while, but I have a spin on the dance rivalry AU. What if Sombra was a ballet dancer? I mean, yeah, it’s way out of character for her, but seeing her doing balletic moves and McCree doing hip-hop (I know it’s out of character for him, too) could lead to some humor. And although it’s really hard to execute, a ballet/hip-hop hybrid partner dance is actually really cool to watch.

To be honest, when I first read your message, I was like ‘????’ trying to imagine McCree being nimble or loose enough to really do any sort of hip hop but I started looking up some videos on YT and I think you’re right – it is a really cool combination to watch in motion! I think I could see this with a teenage McCree and Sombra…but even then, I’m still kinda getting stuck on McCree doing hip hop at all. Though if I think of it this way -> Sombra does ballet but isn’t really all that happy with it and McCree dances but not seriously. When the two get together, they make up their own style of dancing that they feel comfortable with that ends up looking something like a hybrid of ballet/hip-hop? I’d imagine that Sombra’s always preferred more freedom in her movements and just passes that energy along to McCree who adds his own flair to it. 🙂
