Oooooh boy this is slowly turning into a series of chocobros as astrals huh? Don’t worry Astral!Prompto is still the main boy here!
I said it’s just a doodle I say but then when I was done with the messy lineart I decided to go all out on the colouring. F me. The design turns out a lil darker than what I intended but eh.
Ignis. It’s quite obvious what kind of astral he is. His lost of sight does not hinder him from knowing the truth and the reason behind such a dark colour/bruising iggy against the light coloured background is that sometimes the truth is a bitter wound that you have to swallow but it’s better knowing than being ignorant. Often times, the truth is also quite simple thus the simplicity of his design! (I put a lot of thought into this pls appreciate meh.). Ignis is by far, the most difficult to come up with because I do not know what suits him best.

Noctis however, is a representation of complication, pain and sensitiveness. His abundance of jewelry, while pretty and shiny, are a sign that he is a sensitive astral to the core. Cloth covering just at the right place but is still revealing in some way expresses how vulnerable he feels with the whole world. Not only that, the nature of his cloth is sheer and sad sad blue. He cries and grieves easily, showing the feeling of somberness and pain. The black choker he has on his neck is a sign that he truly feels choked at being an astral (responsibility) and carrying a weight, anguish that is not his own. (Eos’ pain). This made him the most emotional between Prompto and Ignis.

Hoooo Prompto. He’s a very rebellious one yet he’s a very very kind god. (Good boy TM)
Prompto represents freedom (airy, wings) hope and kindness (green) and the will to stand on your own (staff, golden jewelry) thus why his design seems flowy, revealing… Super frisky and floaty). Green is also a way of expressing “to heal” and that is what he’s great at but underneath all that innocence is an intense rage. While he is a level headed person (not as level headed as Ignis. He is the very definition of stone cold that even Shiva has a heart.) Due to him suffering from losing his mother, Eos, 2000+ years ago, revenge slowly grew inside but he has no idea how to lash out and when he does. He literally brought thunderstorm. (Another reason why his astral name is Notus.)
