‘Hey, why not?’ Have some headcanons about these nerds going on an Anime/Comic/Game Con or somefin!

Noctis Lucis Caelum –

• The biggest closet nerd that you’ll ever meet.
• Nah, just kidding. There’s nothing in the closet about him. *shot*
• Makes it very blatantly obvious how much he wants to go.
• And dammit, he will go.
• Cosplay and all. He made them himself (with Ignis having to help sometimes. All the times.)
• Always dresses in some sort of Assassin’s Creed costume one of the days.
• Insecure about the people, so he’s usually sticking with Prompto to avoid getting lost.
• ‘Oh god, I didn’t want to wear a wig. IS MY COSPLAY STILL OKAY?’
• Gets alot of attention for having such a detailed costume, but blanks when people ask him about the details of how he made said costume.
• Will blow all of his gil on merch that he finds. All of it.

Prompto Argentum – 

• Cosplays alot, but is more excited to see other people’s cosplays.
• ‘OH EM GEE. IS THAT A REAL LIFE ASUNA?!’
• A massive geek who knows a little bit about everything to be excited about anything.
• One of those overly energetic people who wants to hug everyone.
• With their permission, of course!
• Always screams (loudly or quietly, either or) whenever he sees a badass cosplayer with badass armor.
• Melts over guys with muscular cosplays and women with sexy ones.
• Or vice versa too. He’s pretty happy to see it all.
• Creative with his cosplays, one time even cosplaying as a Chic Sheik, high heels and all.
• Takes pictures of everyone, professionally and just for fun, and makes alot of cool montages for people too.

Ignis Scientia – 

• Not exactly into the whole cosplaying or anime thing, to be honest.
• That is, until he found out he had the perfect excuse to challenge himself in his sewing endeavors.
• Decides to make the simplest of costumes super elaborate.
• ‘Lunafreya wants to dress up as Mi’Lady? We’ll include the cannons in her dress too.’
• Turns into a mad genius with the costumes – especially when they’re elaborate suits or armors.
• Is everyone’s go-to seamstress and repair specialist.
• Because he literally walks around with a sewing and emergency kit just in case.
• Cosplayed once before when he couldn’t convince someone to wear the Kayle cosplay he made on a whim, so he made it to fit himself.
• He found it enjoyable, so he dresses-up at least to compete in the competitions for one of the days.

Gladiolus Amicitia – 

• Not actually in cosplay, but everyone thinks he is.
• It’s the open-shirt and abs probably.
• Always wants to get Gladio’s picture because he’s really attractive. Like, REALLY attractive.
• Is seen more around the merchants’ room than he is anywhere else.
• Will shamelessly walk around with a Erza Scarlett daimakura, because a sword-wielding badass babe? Hell yes.
• Went to a fanfiction panel at one point to listen to what they were discussing and fanning over.
• That, and reading recommendations! Whoop!
• They brought up a King’s Knight fanfiction that they all agreed was one of the best fics in the fandom.
• Gladio sank into his seat and hid behind Erza. He wrote that fic.

Lunafreya Nox Fleuret – 

• Has no idea what half of these fandoms are, but she’s still in awe.
• Asking Noctis or Ravus a million questions of what people are supposed to be.
• Thinks the Sailor Moon cosplayers are super adorable with their poses.
• Gets lured away at one point when she spots a showing room for anime.
• She sat there all damn day because they were showing something ‘with those cute Ship Girls’ that she was so excited about.
• Came back to existence and shook Ravus, demanding she get a cosplay too.
• Decided to return next year with a pretty cosplay as well to join the others.
• Forced Noctis to be her Tuxedo mask and got Ravus to (unwillingly) be someone too.
• Anime eventually ruins Lunafreya’s life.

Ravus Nox Fleuret – 

• He’s honestly just there because didn’t want people creeping on his sister.
• And ever since she started wearing those short-skirted outfits? Hell no she’s not being alone.
• Is basically the bored parent babysitting people.
• Has the money, so the others beg him for food.
• ‘You all can starve.’
• Does find some things genuinely adorable though – especially the little chibi plushes.
• Was told cosplay was essentially acting, which got Ravus more interested in it than anything.
• So on a dare from Gladio, he dressed up as Elsa (gender bend or not? You decide!) and sang Let It Go during the cosplay contest. Mic and everything.
• He won that year, and has the trophy sitting in his office with pride.

Ardyn Izunia – 

• Seems like the guy you’d avoid at these conventions.
• He’s so lively and eccentric though that people like hanging around him and listening to whatever he’s preaching.
• ‘Did you know that it was I who created King’s Knight?’
• Nobody questions it because he looks old as hell and he’s just that charismatic.
• Will grope everyone who he thinks looks cute.
• Like, everyone. Not even the security staff is safe.
• Hosted his own panel at one point about overthrowing kingdoms and getting revenge on those who wronged you.
• People thought he was in character, but little do they know…
• Little do they know.
