Hi. What would Gladio do if he learned that his girlfriend’s father is an asshole, which is easier to yell at the daughter, humiliate, hit.

Gladio would not deal with this shit for an instant. The second he finds out the type of person her father is, he wants his girlfriend to move in with him at any cost. Don’t worry about packing, he’ll buy her a new wardrobe and all her necessities. He’ll ask her to quit her job if she has too; it’s not more important that her well being and safety. He’ll help her find another and support her until she does.

He’ll listen when she’s ready to talk and help her get into therapy. While he may not understand it, if she wants a relationship with her father Gladio will support and respect her decision.

However, don’t expect Gladio to be so kind to him, more so if there’s sexual or physical abuse. Gladio wont go around bragging – or even speaking – about it, but his girlfriend will probably be relieved to not have heard from her father for so long. She wont know he’ll spent several weeks recovering from a dislocated jaw, a shattered hip, broken ribs and nose, and a broken pelvis bone from being thrown out of a window and stomped, among other things. She’ll tenderly kiss Gladio’s bruised knuckles, wondering what the hell his training had gotten him into.

Gladio wont fuck around and neither do I. If you or someone you know is dealing with any type of abuse at home, talk to someone –  a friend, a family member, a therapist, a counselor, a teacher, a priest, a neighbor, or a hotline. There’s someone who cares, although it may not seem like it. Most American state counties have a social services (welfare) office where abuse can be reported. The American hotline is (1-800) – 422 – 4453. Keep in mind these websites may appear in search histories/cookies.

I’ve never set up links before so if these don’t work please let me know. There are other posts with more information and info for other countries, and I encourage you to look into them! I’m here if you need to talk, and there’s always hope. You don’t have to go through this alone.
