I see that people are starting to ask more mercyhog and I finally wanted to ask too! 6, 7, & 21 for the pair please!

6 – What is their favorite feature of their partner’s?
For Mercy, her favorite feature of Roadhog would have to be his stature. Sure, he’s on the heavy side but he carries it pretty well for a guy with a big gut. He may be big, but he can probably break someone in two. And despite being a pacifist, there’s something about his brute strength that really intrigues Mercy, especially since he’s so controlled. She also loves how strong he is – she feels so safe in his arms 💓

Roadhog’s favorite feature about her – it’s hard to say. He loves all of her but his favorite would have to be her eyes – it reminds him of the clear, sky blue that stretched over his farm before the omnium fusion core explosion irradiated the Outback. It brings him a feeling of calm, just as her presence does 💕

7 – What’s the first thing that changes when they realize they have feelings for the other?

Most definitely the way they act around one another. Where before they pretty much hated the other, thinking they’d never see eye-to-eye on anything, Mercy soon starts to check on Roadhog more, especially after an encounter with hostiles. She used to check him out of duty as a doctor but now she’ll take her time, use soft touches and a quiet voice, being careful with her aid. 

Roadhog, in turn, will start talking more, where before he’d only speak out of necessity around the doctor or to tell her to stop complaining. He doesn’t get chatty, but he starts saying ‘thank you’ when she gives him aid and instead of pounding on the wall to wake her up, he’ll knock, letting the good doctor know that they have to get moving. It’s a slow build up but it’s the subtle actions that mean more to them. 

21 – Who is more likely to start dancing with the other?

Neither of them are very good dancers – rhythm isn’t their thing. But that doesn’t mean that they don’t try (in private, of course). It might be a wordless piece of music playing softly in the background, but Mercy will pull on Roadhog’s hands, urging him to stand close and gently press herself against him as she’ll try to move with him. Eventually, he does dance with her, even if it’s a slow, slightly strange waltz.
