Mimicking A Heartbeat

A/N: So I changed the prompt a little to be more ~canon~ but I hope this is alright! This is set in a timeline where Sombra has defected from Talon to Overwatch, and is working with them as an agent alongside McCree. This is also just the perfect reason to write McCree’s and Sombra’s summer skins!
He’s forgotten what it’s like to do undercover work. Sure, he’s used to hiding his own face, but its been a while since he’s put on a persona. On the warm beaches of Ilios, he can almost forget that they’re here for a mission. Standing in the lifeguard tower, McCree scans the waters. Down the shoreline, a pier holds boats, ranging from small fishing vessels to oversized yachts.
One finger tips up his straw hat. On the sand, Sombra stretches and acts like any other beach goer. In purple shorts along with a zipped crop top accented with green, he finds his focus drifting off course.
“Do you like the view?” Sombra’s voice slips into his ear through the com-link. He doesn’t need to see her up close to know a flirtatious smile is on her face.
During missions, McCree and Sombra always save each other from life-death situations, for sure. But what about bringing back the other to life? Like As a lifeguard, McCree always looks after Sombra while she’s diving. He doesn’t worry too much, until one time he actually has to save her. Furthermore, she isn’t breathing at all when he pulls her out of the water. So his only option is cpr. (Sorry for the angstfest, but imagining this scene just breaks my heart and I had to share it with you ;-;)
