Because if anyone of you know me well, I like to give angst from time to time ;))))). So basically this is like bad ending where during the 10 years of darkness that Pompom failed to stop, Pompom made desperate choices, huge mistakes, causing him to break down and accept that things are going to go Bahamut’s way. With his mind weakened and being the youngest astral. He is affected, thus. He became tied to Ifrit. With him being broken he became a useless astral, controlled like a puppet by Ardyn and his body was forced to become a weapon against Noctis and his friends. Wind and Fire is a DEADLY combo.

Long story short. When the dawn arrived, the last King of Insomnia passed away on the throne with feathers littering all over his body, accompanied by a broken staff that no longer glows with hope.

Basically…. This is an ending where they both died tragically.
