Ardyn’s hood and the purple border

It’s been months this detail is bothering me…

Why the purplish border on Ardyn’s scarves isn’t on his hood in the game?!?

I took some pics from different media to understand.

The first thing to notice is that on the artwork made by Roberto Ferrari (on the last line), the purplish border is everywhere on the black welt of the scarves: front, back and hood. I know it’s hard to see but believe me, I took the picture from the FFXV artbook myself and I swear to you there is!

The second thing to remark is that on every picture of Ardyn since the reveal of FFXV in 2013, the purple border is present as you can see on the first line below.

So why once in the game Ardyn’s model doesn’t have it anymore?

As you can see on the second line above, in the game the border is here on the front part of the scarves (and also in the back) but not on the hood (I took screens from PS4 but the problem remains also on PC). It’s the same with the Pocket Edition and the art for this game hasn’t even the purplish border! (don’t be fooled by Ardyn’s hair on the pic, the welt is completely black)

I also checked in FFXV A New Empire (ugh), and the same problem as for the main game occurs: when Ardyn is in “high CG” you can remark that the border is here, but on the second picture with a model nearer to the one of FFXV the border disappears.

It’s truly a distinction between the real-time model of the game and everything else that can be pre-rendered. For example even if I can’t be sure because the quality doesn’t allow me to, in ACOrigins the border seems to be here too, and it is also the case during all the Kingsglaive movie that are pre-rendered scenes.

So the thing I really can’t understand is the reason why this purple border disappeared from the game model in the first place. This detail is totally part of the outfit since the beginning as we saw on Ferrari’s art, so why? Someone forgot it and no one noticed after? A glitch preventing to put the texture here? An overload of informations that makes the outfit less legible? (yeah, sure this little border is the straw that breaks the camel’s back XD )

I really don’t know the reason and I don’t know either why they didn’t modify this since the game was released. I just know that it’s only a little detail but it makes me so crazy XD
