We’ll do Soldier since it’s been awhile!

You can barely see when you open your eyes. Through the blurry haze, you can hazily make out the white mess of hair and a scarred face. There’s a gentle, rhythmic breathing coming from Jack and it’s making your heart feel incredibly warm. It’s the most peaceful he’s looked in a very long time.
As soon as you notice his stirring your squeeze your eyes shut and all you can see are the soft colored lights quickly morphing into nonsensical shapes behind your eyes. His breathing increases slightly as he begins waking up more and more. You try your best to make yourself appear still asleep.
Soon you’re vaguely aware of strands of your hair being moved– he’s hesitating to touch you.
You can feel him leave the bed as quietly as he can to dress himself. You still don’t dare move, his voice gravelly calls out your name.
Your eyes open without hesitation and another day of the mission begins…
