More snek!Sombra AU ideas, this time with Mcsombra. Was just basically thinking about Sombra being a feathered serpent deity, but not a fully grown one yet. She’s considered a princess in the pantheon but is pretty much treated like a joke, hence her size. She’s banished to roaming the mortal realm, where to the locals, she appears as a normal (albeit strangely colored) snake. She’s avoided being eaten/killed by remaining in the shadows most of her time on earth. 

one day, while slithering across the jungle floor, she sees a rather strange looking human who immediately just stares at her. That’s nothing new, as she’s used to humans being wary of her as they are of all mortal serpents. 

“…i must be gettin’ heat stroke.” 

She wonders what this human’s deal is until he approaches and she coils up, attempting to act like the actual snakes of the jungle when they ward off humans. But he keeps approaching.

“I didn’t know snakes around here had damn wings…”

That stops her immediately – wings? Could this human actually see her, like actually see her and not just the mirage most saw? Of course, being a huge brat, Sombra puffs up, flying up, proudly displaying her wings for the human and claiming that he must show respect for a princess and goddess. 

cue McCree kneeling there, totally confused until he slips his hat off, playing along with the strange creature; of course, one must always take his hat off in the presence of a lady, especially a princess. Turns out, humans with heightened senses can see her, and being in constant contact with the paranormal, McCree is one of those humans. So she ends up latchcing on to him…purely because she wishes to make him her loyal servant. she’s not lonely, no
