• Be prepared for Lotor to be incredibly defensive and protective of you. To him you are a fiercely burning star and your safety is a priority of his.

• However, he also holds a lot of faith in you to keep yourself safe and has immense trust in your abilities, so he won’t be overbearing with it.

• (He’s seen you kick ass)

• Although if you require his assistance with any issue, he will be at your side in a heartbeat, prepared to sort out whatever you need help with.

• Lotor isn’t particularly affectionate with you in public, the extent of his affections towards you is that of brushing his fingers over your knuckles as he stands closer to you than anyone else. He has an appearance to keep up as Emperor after all.

• When you are alone, it is a different matter entirely.

• Initially he was rather bad at showing you affection. Although, given that he was raised by Zarkon and probably didn’t have the… best life physically, emotionally or mentally, who can blame him?

• So for a while you are gently easing him into various shows of love and affection. It takes a while for him to grow used to it, seeing as part of him is always prepared to protect himself, but he slowly comes to be relaxed around you with it.

• Quick hugs that part too soon for your taste become long and gentle, with Lotor clinging to you as if your body is part of his own.

• You pecking him on the cheek with a kiss turns into him asking for a kiss on the mouth (an idea that originally appalled him as it is not part of Galran culture, but he comes to love it), which escalates slowly from there.

• Lotor comes to adore all sense of affection once he grows used to them, however he will only accept shows from you and reciprocate it with you. Concerning anyone else, his walls are still up and his defences are heightened.

• He really likes cuddling! Something you and you alone are allowed to know.

• When it comes to spooning, he secretly adores being the little spoon (even if he is far taller than you). It’s a moment in which he feels completely safe from any harm, wrapped in your caring embrace and held to you.

• Also loves feeling your heartbeat against his back.

• If you aren’t spooning, Lotor rather enjoys being tangled up with you, with your head tucked safely beneath his chin. He’ll form a protective shield between you and the bedroom door as well.

• Prepare yourself for lots of gifts! This man is extravagant and loves to show it, especially to you, seeing as he thinks you deserve the universe and more.

• Being an Emperor and helping Voltron is a time-consuming job, so you will usually find little gifts and a sweet note from him in your favourite places to go whenever he is gone for a day or more.

• Lotor lives for your smile and the way all the stars in the galaxy shine in your eyes when you are happy or excited.

• He has the same look, just when his eyes are focused on you. Something Allura takes a large amount of fun out of teasing him about when they are alone and aren’t focusing on a life-saving mission.

• Run your fingers through Lotors hair when he is stressed and he will melt a little bit into you.

• If you’re alone he will ask you to brush his hair, possibly braid it as well, as long as you remove it before he goes out again.

• One time he let you braid flowers into his hair and regretted doing so when he nearly went to a meeting with some Galra Generals and his hair still had exotic flowers from a jungle planet styled into it.

• Lotor also loves it when you gently brush your fingers against the back of his neck (just give him some warning beforehand!), or over his arms when his armour is off.

• He loves running his fingers over your arms, shoulders and back! So expect him to do that quite a lot when you are alone.

• Also has a fixation with your hair??? He just loves running a hand over it continuously.

• Lotor wants to learn all he can about Earth, it’s customs, norms, values etc. So he actively encourages you to talk about it.

• You miss home quite a lot, so this works well for you as it gives you an area to vent your feelings, which Lotor is glad of.
• In turn he’ll teach you about a variety of Alien cultures that he has encountered throughout his life. Lotor likes it when people learn new things and how enthralled you get is something he finds cute.

• Will definitely take you to some of these planets so that you can experience things there first hand.

• Buys you more little gifts at these planets and will present them to you when you return back to the Empires central command and are alone.

• A bit awkward when he gives them to you, but how happily you smile eases any worries on Lotors mind.

• Lotor just,,, adores you so much and he doubts that he will ever be able to properly express it.
