I love reading your Sombra dialogue. She has such an interesting character with “the Eye” looming in her background… It’s a shame most just have her be a sassy joke character. She has the potential to have very interesting interactions with most of the cast and story lines. It makes me always want more :) I’d adore writing McSombra, but I don’t feel I’d ever be that good at writing (unfinished fanfic thanks to depression)

Thank you, that means quite a lot, given that I am extremely anxious about how I portray characters and their voices. 😥 And I agree wholeheartedly, it’s sad as a Sombra fan that most people dumb her down to be some sort of walking meme. She’s definitely playful but people assume you have to go digging for Sombra’s more sinister side. But you don’t, the playful side is pretty much just a cover sheet for the ambitious character she is. You see it in her cinematic and the comic with Lynx17 and Zarya. It leads to very interesting options for dialogue.

And hey, don’t feel bad. I know what dealing with depression is like and it can really sap the motivation even if you’ve got a thousand ideas in your head. I hope that someday you can finish your fic, or even post what you have already just so the world can see what you’ve made =)
