So if [ Malkuth Remix ] Jade is all things sweaters and turtlenecks when out of uniform, then [ Winter Alchemist ] Jade wears a lot of nice vests when he’s not in uniform. Or sweater-vests. The best of both worlds.

While he is capable of transmuting without a circle, Jade prefers an approach of plausible deniability and has functioning transmutation circles on the cane and on a hidden band under his right sleeve.  In general, this terror from the North specializes in alchemy that creates chemical reactions.  Fire, freezing, plasma. He’s nowhere near as versatile with fire as Roy Mustang, but he can make things go fwoom. Still, Jade values precision in all things, including war.

Jade’s ion/plasma based alchemy (one he specializes in and developed) may not be as destructive as burning or blasting and generally doesn’t break buildings, but it doesn’t need to.  His ruthlessly efficient weapon is quite deadly with minimal destruction. He doesn’t need to use firepower when he can simply stop your heart.  As such, he tends to favor precise strikes with little to no collateral damage, and civilians tend to remain untouched.

Now, when he’s at home and not expecting visitors (or, only expecting friends/family/people he trusts), Jade often foregoes the leg brace altogether. It’s a cumbersome, tedious hassle if he’s not planning to be on his feet much. The cane and wheelchair (kept from earlier in his life before he regained mobility) generally will suffice for moving freely so long as he’s not trying to keep up appearances and maintain his reputation as an implacable and dangerous man, gimpy leg or no.

Also, Peony is the only person who can manhandle Jade in such a manner and live.  (Yes, there will probably be actual PeoJade in this. Oops.)
